I hope you enjoy the entirety of the Northern Theatre! Updates include dubbing over mispronunciations as best I could (Concord, Oriskany, Bemis, Seneca, Paoli etc.) and changing historical or editing mistakes (smallpox blankets, image of brown bess musket etc.). Thanks again for watching!
In researching my family tree, I discovered my 6th great-grandfather who enlisted in a New Hampshire regiment the day after Bunker Hill, then was at the siege of Boston, the tail end of the Quebec campaign, Trenton, Princeton, Saratoga, wintered at Valley Forge, then fought his last battle at Monmouth. He stayed in the army until mustering out in 1782.
Interesting. My great grandfather, my DAR Patriot, fought at the Battle of Brandywine and Germantown. He was a Captain and was at Valley Forge with Gen. George Washington.
I'm Honored and Proud to say I've been subbed since the first vid on this series (I believe it was one of the first vids posted to this account), and it's so inspiring to see how far this channel has gone, and one so deserving getting the viewership and support gives me Hope for the future of teaching history. Thank you, truly, for everything y'all do. This series on the Revolutionary War is one of the first, and one of the only ones, to actually describe things in good detail and teaches us so much. I'll stop there, but know I'll always be a supporter of this channel, and I can't wait to see where and what else y'all make videos and teach about, Thank you again for everything and God Bless y'all!
@@AwakenedShepard thank you very much! It means an awful lot to me to receive such positive feedback and to have your support. It’s a real honour making content people enjoy and learn from. And we’ve got a great year of content ahead I hope! Thanks again
Love your channel, it's not a subject widely studied here in the UK is it. It would be great to see videos on specific regiments, or famous junior leaders like Banastre Tarleton, or the foreign combatant forces like the Hessians for example. Cheers for the great work!
great videos so dont take this as a harsh comment. a casualty is dead. in another video a person "fell off his horse, broke his nose and was the first casualty" here at another battle you stated "they only suffered minor casualties" there is nothing minor about being dead and a broken nose doesnt mean you are dead
I'm not sure where you're getting that from. A casualty in war is someone who has been injured or killed. If they're taken out of the fight then they're considered a casualty. That's always been the case. And "minor casualties" is obviously a relative term. If you have an army of thousands and you lose 50 guys, that's minor. Nobody's saying their deaths aren't tragic. And again, it doesn't even necessarily mean they all died. If you don't believe me, look it up. Any dictionary will tell you the same thing.

This is what like, a real narrator.
wooorrd
How did the lines of battles thing go ?
Who decides who wins a battle? Seems that it’s not based solely on casualties or percentage of casualties to overall strength. Or is it?
How did the British have an empire, we got battered everywhere we went, by very inferior opposition.
I don't know how you figured that.
We really wasn't "battered everywhere we went" 😂
