I heard the original version by the zutons today for the first time and I am not exaggerating in the slightest when I say that i found that song to be atrocious.
Years ago, I discovered this song at a bar in southeast asia. A reggae band was playing and everyone was smoking weed, the tempo was a lot slower than any of the reggae versions you'd find on the internet but with 3 guys on the horns and the strong voice of the woman behind the mic, it packed a punch. A friend of mine knew the band personally and later I went to all of their gigs. Fell in love with the band because of this song. Years later, I almost went crazy trying to find their version online. Like an addict, I was trying desperately trying to scratch an itch only to be disappointed. Eventually I settled for Amy's BBC live version and found myself singing along to it in the middle of the night behind the wheel with a southern accent. A new itch needed to be scratched. Though the itch required a deeper or grave in tone from the person singing it, the vocalist was more than satisfactory. The violin however, was not something I would have expected to fall deeply in love with. So from the bottom of my heart. Thank you for making this cover. The best cover out there on the internet and it's not even close.

I was anxious out of my mind and we were both really stressed , we loved each other but ultimately she didn’t want to continue and I was trying to make it work but it was stressful and looking back I can see I deserve better and I’ve been having fun ever since , I’m taking the lessons with me and moving on wiser
