I’m late, but this is exactly why I cook EXTRA. I cook for other people but also cook for future-sad-me ❤️ cooking extra rice and a soup on the back burner while I have other stuff going makes sure there’s enough to go around.
Its honestly close to how i cook on a regular basis. And it makes me feel like Veganism is alot more accessable than the others make it it look. Not so much work.

smoothie tip: blend up your greens with whatever liquid you’re using FIRST and then when it’s fully blended add all the rest of the ingredients. it’s help to blend the greens better and so there is no nasty green bits leftover

idk if you already have a video like this but could you maybe do a video where you make a groceries haul for idk $30 or whatever is possible to still make it healthy and not just rice and beans for a week :D and then show what you cook with those products for a week? bc its kinda hard for me to buy for a whole week and make the most of those products..somehow i just buy things for a special meal and dont have much variety.

Aldi garbanzo beans are super mashable- for your chickpea mashing needs. Trader Joe’s are firmer and hold up better in soups 💗💗 Also if you’re feeling spicy and want to switch up the leftover flavors, try stirring in some Zhoug (also from Trader Joe’s)

I know this video is old and I’m not sure if it’s ever been mentioned before or after this but you’re supposed to heat up canned chickpeas if you want them soft
If you soak your chickpeas in a mixture of baking soda and water then drain and rinse before using them it makes them really soft so then when you mush them up it’s smoother / “creamier” . I really like doing this because I’m not a fan of really hard chickpeas

Canned peas and frozen peas are like two different species. They're both delicious, but you can't really compare them

You should try a vegan chicken patty with white rice and sweet and sour sauce it's really good and easy.
Whenever I make my chickpea salad sandwiches I use my food processor to smash my chickpeas!! It makes it so much easier if you have one! :)
