- We took in a new tegu on short order which gives us an unexpected opportunity to discuss how to manage and gain the trust of a new animal that's a bit agro towards people. We will be expanding his enclosure soon as he will need more space than what we have, but for the time being we still want to record every interaction to show how some patience can bring around an animal that may otherwise be a little risky to handle.

😅🤣😂"He's imagining happier times"😅.. about those days living free and easy in Florida,🌄 eating anything I wanted. Hanging out with the ladies! And then all of a sudden BAM! I'm in a rubber tub and some joker wanting me to "relax". Yeah... I'll show him "relaxed" next time he comes around!! Let's see how much he can relax missing a couple fingers!!
This is an awesome series. They grow so quick, especially when they don't brumate the first year. I used to be unsure everytime I'd go in his setup. With the food drive being so crazy, it's always hard to know if he's going to be hungry and try to eat when I opened the cage or if he was going to be chill. Lol. He ended up being awesome and never trying to bite me. I was just freaking out and worried over nothing. Lol. I wish I had a series like this when I first got my tegu
