Thank you for the support! The JM is a great guitar and I can't ever get over how good the middle position sounds. This is one of my favorite songs to play and happy to share.
Has this been recorded with the guitar shown? There has been some criticism of the American Professional Jazzmaster which was replaced by the American Professional Jazzmaster II because traditionalists did not take to it. This sounds great to me with a really authentic surf tone.
Yessir, this is the guitar used on the recording. I've come across criticisms of the pickups and the controls but I don't need all the controls of the original so the 3-way toggle, vol and tone work just fine for me. The V-Mod pickups have been criticized for not being "true" JM pickups and some claiming they are overwound strat pickups or in the P90 realm. The bridge and neck positions sound OK on their own but I think the guitar sounds great in the middle position. My only complaint would be they can be a little shrill in the highs but of course this is dependent on your setup (especially amp and speaker type).
Lo siento, mi español no es muy bueno. Strymon Flint para reverb spring. Los pedales reverb se usan para producir un sonido “boingy". Amplificador Clean. Guitarra electrica con "twang".
Possibly the best cover I've heard of one of the most iconic (and least recognized) surf songs ever recorded. Thank you!
Thank you!
Fantastic.❤❤❤
Great playing and tone. The scenery and cinematography is on point too!
I appreciate that. Thanks!
Great song, excellent tone, and spot on picking!
Thank you!
What a nice cover, i'm lovin' it
This is fabulous!
Fantastic!
Thanks! I appreciate it.
Nice! Love the original, but also love the galloping rhythm of The Pixies cover. I play Jazzmasters, too. Great surf guitar. Thanks for the vid!

Thankyou for the information. I guess it would be possible to convert a American Pro to American Pro II if necessary.
