You are the best, I understand everything you said, I am making shawl for my daughter, god bless you. 😀
Thank you so, so much. I'm a visual learner so I love video and diagrams they are for me the cherry on top of the cake!!! I'm always on the hunt for crochet patterns with diagrams. I have the feeling The Crochet Crowd videos will be a favorite! Thank you , Judith
As usual, AWESOME tutorial!!! I'VE BEEN WANTING to try this and was TOTALLY intimidated. You make it look so easy when you break it down! THANKS THANKS THANKS!!!!
I taught myself to crochet using Mikey's videos. I made a ton of dish cloths and hats to practice, and this was my first hard project. I absolutely loved how it turned out. The video was so helpful!!
I love this tutorial video because I am a beginner and is easy for me to followed instructions step by step to success with my project.
I so want to make this? Looks simple enough! :) YEAH!
love the yes yes shawl I am doing it now tytyty x
I LOVE a challenge! I can't wait to start this....a little intimidated but anxious!
This looks great! i highly recommend it, I made this in wool and it looks gorgeous. It's not too hard as long as you keep calm, take your time and crochet on! I thought the beginning was the hardest part, but after that it's all easy, and really fast.I found following the diagram pattern easier after doing the first start/foundation part. Only took me 3 days, the next shawl I made after that, Annelies "It's a Sunny Day Shawl" (another free pattern) took twice as long. Both are stunning!
Mikey, you are the greatest. I am going to watch this video a couple of times more to make sure I get it right. I am going to make it for my girlfriend. She thinks I am sooo talented, but guess what... you make me look fantastic. love you.
Thank you for your videos. You are an awesome instructor!
Excellent work, thank you so MUCH.
Mikey, I Love you! You are my Hero! Thank you for making this where I can understand it! My brain just clicked on and said (I get it now)!
I love this shawl it's beautiful.
Like it i thought it was harder and is nice to make good for a top without sleves.
Thank you! The video was informative. Followed along on my first try. I did mess up a hair, but with the final product I couldn't tell. I did panic slightly when the video ended because had no clue what to do, but the diagram attached to the pattern was easy to follow.
Love the videos, helped me pick up the hobby again and expand my crochet knowledge!
you are right! it took me 3 tries (rows) and frogging to figure it out.
i have 2 to make as gifts so here I go!!
hi, I struggled with this after mikey stopped. However, I got the graph and it made a lot more sense. Thanks, Mikey
Thank you very much! My shawl turned out beautiful! xx
This just didnt work for me after 2nd round of 10s and I tried 3x.
I like this web. I am learning.
this is a beautiful shawl buddy your doing a Excellent Job my friend awesome work thanks for sharing ,☺☺☺☺☺👍👍👍👍. best regards Peter.
Beautiful
hi Mikey, please do a fan and v stitch shawl video as I find that stitch beautiful. And one thing u explain everything clearly in your videos,so thank you for that.
l can't wait to begin lerning this art.
Pretty!
This a fun pattern I made 5 shawls two with the Caron Cakes. two cakes make a large shawl and one is like a scarf.
M still trying to get this one right but I do love it
well, I have 40 ladders, find its easier to count them, not sure how many more to go.....I used Bernat baby sport with size I hook, simply because that is all I had on hand, that I knew I had enough, I really wanted to use something different went to 4 stores couldn't find what I wanted so resorted to this one. So it's just light lilac. But I am okay with it, I think when its done. I am going to add some removable ties to it, so can be held in place of different angles. Had to use highlighters so I wouldn't lose my place, my hardest row was 13, every single time!! Had to pay attention!! But it's been fun. May stop soon, maybe not:)
Muy bonita gracias
very beautiful
I loved the look of this shawl but debated on whether I would have the patience. Then when I seen there was a chart I almost didn't make it. I crocheted along with the video and then caught on really fast on how to read the chart. With all your help how could I fail? It is now 3 am and I hate to put it down. Thanks!
Well in all I have made 2 as gifts and starting a 3rd one for myself. I have tried different weights and types of yarn with great results each time. Love it!

The last stitch for row 10 was a treble, not an double like you said.
Row 3 should start with a chain 4, not a chain 5. :)
Love this shawl and tutorial. I've made 4 of them and have one I like to wear like a bandana scarf. :)
I do love this pattern, but I’m going nearly mental searching for another of your shawl patterns..... if anyone can help, I’d be most grateful. It comprised a factor of 7 plus? and consisted of chains, chains and more chains. I hope this is an adequate clue 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
mickey im really enjoying this but really need the diagram were do i get it from ,you have learnt me so much since i started crocheting 2 years ago thank you for inspiring me you are my hero xxx

Love this but a bit surprised. There's been a Russian chart for this shawl floating around the internet for ages. You can probably find it on Pinterest.
Hi ...I would like a tutorial in how to make a FIVE-POINT DIAMOND SHAWL . tHANK YOU for your help ....
fantastic, do I have to make the middle bit
For the life of me I am horrible in reading patterns I'm just not getting it... I'm more of a visual learner and follow along.... there are so many beautiful patterns out there I would love to try but I can't seem to comphrend and put it to use help? :(
is there any way to add some flare to this type of shawl? Like any end work, or tassesls?
I was with you right until you stopped, but now I am so lost. Did we stop on 8 and I continue on 9? I don't see the pattern at this point:(
I had the same problem too. After some trial and error I think it was stopped on row 9. I followed the diagram from 10 on and it turned out fine
I watched the end of the tutorial 3 times and was writing this pattern down. After row 8 you finished the row turned and then said Row 13, which is the chain 10 and the chaining of 6,according to what I've followed this should've been Row 9. Is there something missing because from watching the tutorial, and your work, the last row you did was Row 9, or am I wrong? Thanks in advance for your help. 👍💜👏👏👏
cuando se termina el desafio gracías.
do you answer questions, I have more fans on one side than the other, I don't know what happened, my ladder is straight. thanks
I have frog this 4 times trying to get the right count and can't seem to do it... I am going to give up on this one....
So I am confused , the tutorial does not match the written instructions. written says for row 4 to chain 4 not five....and to dc in each double. Mikey looks like he is dc in the space between every dc...please help.also in the end of row 13 he puts a dc in the 3rd stitch of the chain 5 and not a tr...kind of hard to do this right if the instructor does not do it.
so frustrating I didn't realize this tutorial didn't go all the way through the project :( I was doing so well keeping up no problem and once the video ends even with the diagram and written I cant seem to continue :( I was hoping to make this for my mom for mothers day so Im going to continue to try but if anyone has any suggestions or the a video tutorial of the rest of this project please let me know!! lol
THANKYOU
Karen Hansson so after trying harder and looking further I realized that I could read the diagram very easily once I printed it out I guess viewing it sideways was messing me up...def need my highlighter but its not that bad once you pick it up! I encourage others with the same problem to print the diagram
Would love to give this one a try . . please fix the link

need to no how much yarn do I need?
Sandra I agree. I tried 6 times and after 8th row it just didnt work. Plus sometimes I think he goes too fast.
And I am not a beginner
You are able to slow the video down by clicking on the little gear at the bottom of the video then clicking on playback speed.
Word patterns are alwsys easier for me. Get aggravated with graphs.
please make a scarf with this pattern. thks
The pattern is designed as a triangle. I wouldn't know how to that as a scarf because it relies on the 90 degree turn.
Thks Mikey for writing back. I absolutely love your tutorials. You explain very well and in big details
I realize this comment is old, but I've made this shawl and I wear mine as a triangle scarf. :) I can't imagine that it would be easy to convert into a regular rectangle scarf (nor is it Mikey's job), but it makes for a really lovely scarf as is. Then as a bonus it can always be worn as a shawl if desired! :)
Love this shawl. Unfortunately, the link didn't work. I love reading off of diagrams better than the written abbreviation version. Hope the link gets fixed.

Thank you!
Too hard for me .. Mikey ! I can't even figure out how to increase the finished size ! 😢
Hi Mikey did you have to block your shawl ?
No I didn't. Just wear and go.
Easier for me on words a ND diagra.s Re hard for me
Please Mikey row 12 is killing me, the written pattern makes no sense to me. The diagram is clear but once we repeat, which ones get the 2 chain 2 inbetween the hdc?? all but the first or only the one closest to the ladder! I am puzzled.
Gamma Bear63 I ran into the same problem. I’m trying to figure out the same thing.
Gamma Bear63 the written pattern shows ch 1, hdc, ch 1. The diagram is incorrect!
Also is there a way to mae this shawl bigger?
Yes, you just continue as it starts from the center and goes outward. You stop when you are satisfied. Review the pattern posted and you will see. :D
Okay, thank you
So, to make this shawl bigger I continue rows 10- 13?
Pattern said to repeat 10-13 but in video he skips row 8 to 13. Am I missing something? At what point in video do I repeat after the end of the video
Reviewing now.
Confirming pattern says to repeat rows 10 - 13... Reviewing Video Now.
Row 13 said in the tutorial is row 9. I misspoke. If you look at row 13 and 9, it's the same set of instruction in the diagram.
repeating the set of instruction from the video that you learned in Row 6 - 9. You are just adding more sprays as it grows bigger.
I'm sorry for my verbal error.
I can't find the pattern and chart
judy www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/yes-yes-shawl
Why were people so confused by this? It isn't that hard at all
You don't have 8 theres9
I really used to enjoy your vidios but for some reason you have gotten so fast that I just can't keep up with you and I really get tired of having to stop and start all the time.
This is way to hard..
Cinnamon Howard It's not, just try it. You'll be surprised how easy it is
OK.. O will.. Thank u..
hi Mikey, please do a fan and v stitch shawl video as I find that stitch beautiful. And one thing u explain everything clearly in your videos,so thank you for that.
