REVISED Tip: CIMA 1, Sheath I found a better way to stop the knife from rattling or falling out. I used (2) 1/4" Chicago Screws with rubber Washers, on the two eyelets closes to knife opening. No more rattle, no more knife falling out. Simple and works great.
Tips on CIMA 1 Fixed Blade, Sheath We all know that the Sheath is really loose, and a good way to stop it is to put spacers, about 0.030" thick on both sides of the mouth opening. It will stop the rattle, but the knife will still dislodge from the sheath, if shaken forcefully upside down. Great knife, great price. Try some thicker spacers.
I took this knife to Arctic Survival School and used it to split wood by hammering the spine into birch or spruce. It held up great! I even used it afterwards for cutting up frozen rabbit. It performed very well. I was surprised for a $24 budget knife.
Cool. Its a really nice knife. Granted its still made in China, but the quality is decent and I have used it lots since making this video without a single issue. Chopped up a bunch of wood for future videos with it
From a very young age my dad could not emphasize enough the importance of a knife, to this day I believe in that. In some ways I think he scarred me because I have a lot of knives lol. This looks like a decent knife. Do you think you could mount a Tec lock on the back of that sheath ,it looks like the screw placement may except it. May just have to get one and find out. Good video as always.
Very Cool little blade. Mora makes some great knives but they are only 3/4 Tang and depending on the style they can be very thin. I love the Mora knives and I think they are a great budget item for someone starting out but if you need something that is tough and going to last through your learning process this looks like a very good option as well. Great Video Keep Up The Good Work!!!
Thanks! I really am liking this knife, I just used it the other day to chop up some wood for a video, I actually go out of my way to use it around the house because it just feels good in my hand. Enjoy the new knife!
I found this knife on Amazon earlier today so I decided to look it up on YT and saw this video. I never saw this knife before on Amazon. Today November 1, 2020 the knife in the video cost $28.80 on Amazon with Prime.
excellent review, I bought this same knife a year ago from GearBest out of china for $23 CDN with shipping included, if you do a google search it is a china knock-off of a Ontario rat 3 even down to the sheath other than that metal bracket (which I keep meaning to replace) but it is one tough knife, it can take abuse...if your looking for budget knife you can't go wrong with this
A good review...TFS ;-)) That does look like a good knife for the money and a good buy for someone just starting out on a limited budget :-)) I'm like you, I would have to modify the sheath, that metal clip wouldn't work for me either ;-)) I like what you did with the other knife, the scales look great ;-)) You shouldn't have those break apart in your hand like the plastic ones might have ;-)) That reminds me of back in 2013 I was given a old Machete and did a refurbish on it, it turned out fair ;-)) I've got the videos posted of it ;-)) Take Care :-))
Thanks, I will check the videos out, Yeah my only bummer was I did not do a video of the scales being made.. lol it came from my firewood pile and turned out into those.. but I got started and didn't want to stop and grab the camera lol
Iridium242 thanks. The reason I asked was there is another video that does a brutal test of this knife, including a tip break and it did not fare well.
Yeah I think I saw that one, from "Dutch bushcraft knives" or some such thing, I doubt many knives would withstand what they did.. lol I dont plan on batoning cinder blocks any time soon with this CIMA :) But seriously, the Mora is a great knife, More even has a dedicated bushcraft knife now, its about 50 bucks and has a ferro rod with it too. They make great stuff. As for the tip on the Cima, I suspect they have upgraded it some over the last year or so, this one has a very thick tip, when I was stabbing it into wood and twisting, it popped right out without any issues. Thanks!
@@Iridium242 Thanks for the info. I may have to give it a try. I seen another video where a very thin guy hammered it into a downed tree and stood on it 3 times and it didnt break or bend. That's pretty extreme but I have no intentions of using one that hard.

I bought one a couple weeks ago, I haven't used it much yet but so far I'm very happy with it!

I am very happy with my CIMA 1.
Now available with kydex sheath. Will not fall out, very tight fit. Same spring steel clip for belt.
Where? The official store doesn't have it.
How did you take it out of the case? Mine seems to be stuck 😕
Nice job! I'm glad I bought one earlier tonight! You have earned a new subscriber.

I ditched the heavy metal clup/plate for a teklok...I still need to get a kydex sheath but the teklok will carry over

Thanks, yeah I saw so many reviwing it and giving it a good review that I had to try it myself. It will get lots of use in videos in the future!
the Mora Garberg is a full tang knife, I have 2 Moras, the 511 and Kansbol, this Cima looks like a nice knife
Wow, thats a mora I have not heard of, I had to look it up, looks nice. Thanks!
trust me.... it is a good knife.
It's a great knife It's a work horse for me
With the fatwood use a 90 degree spine it makes the shavings faster and thinner
Worth picking one up. Thanks
Great looking knife. Looks very good.
Tek lok will fit. I own one and i like it. Good little knife.
Seems like a great budget option!
Thanks for sharing!

Yeah I know what you mean, sometimes I get to going and forget the camera too :-P
What do you think of Mora knives? They seem to be popular and are relatively inexpensive.
Moras are great, they are well made, and stay nice and sharp, great for a camp knife or one in the bug out bag.
Iridium242 thanks. The reason I asked was there is another video that does a brutal test of this knife, including a tip break and it did not fare well.

Iridium242 Thanks. Keep up the great reviews. I like your channel.
Mora are extremely good, just get it for its right price. And don't baton it.
Does this knife seem to hold an edge well?
Yes, Been using it a while now, granted I am not beating it up, but its held an edge great for just common tasks

@@coxdevj lMAO, saw same review and bought this one rather than ordering very expensive knife over amazon. I wont cry if this broke or lose it.
Looks like an ESSE
