      Of course the blade will snap.

    Not everyone can afford high end expensive knives,also I have to agree that Mora make some great knives at great prices,but for me the Cima 1 is a good all round camp knife that will do for you what a knife is supposed to do,irrespective of where it is made/ produced.

    I bought this knife after watching the abuse you gave it. I love this knife it came razor sharp and even grind all around. hammered it into oak tree and it held my weight just fine, no bend at all. It will hold its own against any 100 dollar knife guaranteed. thank you guys for the review. no one will abuse a knife like that and it does great. razor sharp no nicks or rolls at all after hundreds of feather stick. everyone should watch Joe Robinets review of this Cima knife. thanks guys great little back up camp knife.

    Gentlemen as a ex soldier it is clear to me that Mickey B is suffering from PTSD towards the Fallkniven that bit him. Martian you need to help your best friend through that painful process by making him buy the knife and taking him out in the bush to face his demons. It will be hard for him but with your support he can beat this; also, please film this for us ; ).

    Iam wondering if you could do a review on another lower budget blade: the "real steel bushcraft 2 in D2" it comes in g10 handlescales and with an kydex sheath, kinda bad kydex but never mind. Keep it up guys and i let u know u broke my bank on the Fallkniven knifes..

    there are dozens of youtube channels that did test CIMA and it succed, you are the only one that failed badly, i found that at least suspicious.

    • @DutchBushcraftKnives
      @DutchBushcraftKnives  3 года назад

      I’m afraid we wouldn’t be doing our job well if we tried to make this knife last. We have to see how far it can go and if it fails at the same tests that the ESEE didn’t fail in, that speaks for itself. But I am curious what your suspicion is!! Maybe we are just ESEE fanboys!! I wish i’d know what knife we really like from them then.. haha cheers mate

    • @cientifiko
      @cientifiko 3 года назад

      @@DutchBushcraftKnives it is ok to be fan of some good brand but I thought you were fans of Falkniven. Well, I should prefer Esee for sure but the price are not the same level, at least for me in my country, and because of differences in blade material and prices I don't see rationality for comparision. What i see, don't get me wrong, is that you cherry-picked the test, you didn't test resistence of corrosion, as example, Cima has high chromium content, which also can cause the blade to brittle, so the test that Cima could outperform you choose not to do.
      And there is no way to get homogeneity of conditions with your test methods. It is just for fun that´s why i keep watching your videos.

    Position of your foot was different from where it was on the Mora. I don't doubt that this knife isn't up to ESEE standards, but I wonder if it would have broken as quickly if your foot had been closer to the log rather than way out at the end of the handle.

      I highly recommend you guys getting one. I got to "play" with one for a couple of days. The handle is fantastic, and it feels like an extension of your hand! The only downside is that they have two steel options I think - 14c28n and K720. I I'm planning on getting the Sandvik version myself, but I will probably wait out for your review first. ;)
      I think you guys might like it more than the Enzo and for Mickeeey it would probably be the "ultimate" bushcraft knife (if it came with s30v). :)
      Hoping to see a lot more videos from you guys in the future! Keep up the excellent work guys! Cheerz!

    How long have you guys been making videos? I'm curious because your guys' editing skills are great. Also, have you two ever used a Bear Grylls sponsored knive? I had one for a long time but I (accidently) tip tested it and it failed

      Hey mate, The Bear Grylls knife is too bad to buy haha so we haven't tried it. We have been making videos for some years now but we only started editing videos since +- may 2016. before that I only did some cuts

      haha, I figured those knives weren't so great. They're quite cheap although they might be fun to have considering they come with a whistle and a flint in the sheath. Anyway, I really enjoy how much work you guys are putting into these vids

    I always watching knife hard use or killing, especially yours ;). it is not good looking process, but its real test, also you can see videos from Vininull (it is interesting). And I note that your videos are very artistic and beautiful ...

    I saved up and got a Morakniv, the Mora of sweden made of carbon steel, I was wondering if you guys could test it in a knife destruction video, I got it for around 70 U.S. dollars off of Amazon and it seems to be all right, I haven't punished a lot though, just want to see if it was worth it and if you have any suggestions. Thank you for consideration.

    Question...
    Traditionally, with comedy teams, the guy who plays the dummy (MikkieB), to the Straightman (Marten), is usually the smart one.
    Who is the smart one?

    thank you very much for the video it was really fun!!! someday you should try some of my favourite knives, survive, trc and some tops, the b.o.b is amazing. Recently i bougth a survive 4.7 in cru wear forge V, one of the best right now on the market.
    I must say, i agree with all your opinion exept for the Bark river. I have seen two bravo 1 in A2 bent on the edge. Maybe the cpm3v version is better... i dont know, but i have lost faith in Bark river.

      @DutchBushcraftKnives  7 лет назад

      Hey Zoro, We don't like a2 either. I've send back my gunny a2 because I thought I got a wrong heat treat.. I don't use it often anymore. CPM-3V on the other hand is pretty amazing. I can highly understand that with a2 you have lost faith in them.
      I am very jealous about your survive 4.7! I didn't know they made a batch in Cru wear! they don't seem to have it now when I want customise one. I need cru wear pretty bad! haha.

    I like the destroying tests you guys are doing in many of your videos. Only those tests can tell how well knives can hold, and that's very important.

    question for both of you which is your favorite knives and why

    • @DutchBushcraftKnives
      @DutchBushcraftKnives  7 лет назад

      Mikkie make your own comment!
      Maarten here: My favourite knife would have to be a draw between the Bark river Aurora and the Fallkniven A1 Pro. The bark river aurora is just such a versatile knife. complimented with the CPM-3V steel and amazing handle geometry it makes one of the most satisfying knives to work with. The A1 pro has the CoS steel which is just amazingly well balanced. I might use the F1 pro more often but I just love batonning and the regular a1 was my first real quality knife so i have nostalgic feelings towards the A1. I also love fallknivens simplicity and how care-free they are. They are real users.

    Sad video for me considering I bought one last week Hahah.
    Anyway is there a chance to see you with an extrema ratio knife? Probably they are not your kind of knife..

    • @DutchBushcraftKnives
      @DutchBushcraftKnives  7 лет назад

      Hey, haha if you don't use it too hard you should be fine. For some simple tasks this knife will suffice.
      Extreme ratio is indeed not our kind of knife haha.
