- Recorded during rehearsal, sadly its a lot of background noises.
This instrument I biult with little help of my friend. Its not finished yet. Started building it in 2017, since than it was a lot of changes and new ideas which lead to completely new instrument. I decided to call it "Concert celesta". It has 7 octaves and unique mechanism. Playing on it is completely different than piano and normal celesta, its something between clavichord and carillon in technique. Developing this is so much fun, I wish to present it for bigger audience soon. Видеоклипы
Pięknie :)
Dziękuję :)
The sound is majestic, the woodwork is sublime and your playing brings life to this instrument! Continue doing what you love, you’ll be rewarded. Thanks for sharing your creations with us by the way.
Oh, thank you very much! 😍
Beautiful.
Thank you
It goes lower than a Regular Celesta. It would be great if Yamaha made these.
3:57 That Bottom note is a Guitar E.

The Keys happen to be salvaged from an old Piano.

3:57 That Bottom note is a Guitar E. If we go lower than the Guitar E2, then yeah we need to scatter those low notes all over the place. Celestas typically have the bars scattered all over the place to make it more compact so the same is true for this one.
Yes
@@marekkudriaszow3943 As we add more notes, we have to get really creative w/ how those larger resonators will fit & what would really help is if they were actually tubular like organ pipes so that the sound would be projected towards the walls.
@@marekkudriaszow3943 If we use Tubular Resonators for the lower notes than E2 we can have them angled to where they'd point outward so that the sound would be directed towards the walls.
That’s amazing! As someone who works with player pianos, I’d love to see how it works whether it’s simple or complex. Its sound is beautiful, it’s unique and mesmerizing. What inspired you to build this? Are the stacks on the top for large bells or are they for something else?
Thank you! Its not really that complicated mechanically, the main problem was how to fit such many resonators and action parts in relatively small space for it and not loosing the sound in the same time. I will try to record it from the other side in the future so you will see the inside.
I just wanted to play celesta and wasnt happy with modern instruments of that kind... So created my own.
These wooden parts on top are resonators for the lowest bars. This instrument starts from E(big octave) so resonators for this has to be huge...
@@marekkudriaszow3943 To go lower than E2 we need to make special resonators that are curved.
Wonderful choice for this. This is what I wanted to hear on an instrument like this! Sounds amazing when that extra melody comes in the high register towards the end. Excellent playing too!
Thank you very much!

I hope we can get Lower than E2 down to C2 (and maybe A1 so that we can have A1 to C9 like a Piano but an Octave Higher).
The Modern Celesta's Range isn't big enough so you decided to make a version w/ a Bigger note range.
