I think the whole country fell in love with Lucy. Her teacher is a remarkable gift to these children and should win some sort of award for his compassion, patience, understanding and ability to bring out such talent as Lucy’s . Bravo to both for giving us such beautiful music.

But if you knew how hard it is to play the piano under any circumstances you would understand how truly remarkable the achievements of "these children" ,with all of their challenges, really is. Noone is "simply a pianist", blind or otherwise. I stand by my comment.

For viewers watching Lucy for the first time and perhaps wondering what the fuss is all about, it's worthwhile to trace her musical journey back to her early childhood, all documented on RUclips, to understand the challenges she and her family faced in encouraging her to even communicate with them, let alone nurture and guide her towards this unlikely blossoming in the public eye. The Amber Trust (Patron Camilla, Queen Consort) appointed her teacher, Daniel Bath, himself an accomplished musician, to bring out whatever musical talent, if any, may lay hidden beneath Lucy's natural shyness and confronting physical mannerisms. This is the result so far. Every note memorised, every finger position practiced for hours, every emotional nuance achieved, is a minor miracle. It's Lucy's way of communicating at last, non-verbally. R (Australia)

This is music. This is musical rubato. This is artistry. This is peak musical expressionism. The sentience is soul-wrenching. Pianists like Lucy make us fall back in love with classical music.

The fact she is playing this from hearing it and muscle memory on the piano is just amazing and with her moving her head the way she does that doesn’t affect her tempo or the way she plays it so perfectly it just astounding
