Hung Gar, Chiu Chi Ling shows Fook Sao in Hung Gar

Chiu Chi Ling does a combo with fook sao. The one arm combo is fook sao, chun sao (threading hand), chum (sink), biu (thrust) We usually think of the fook sao as a wing chun technique, however we also find it in Hung Gar. The difference is in Wing Chun we don't have the waist and up down power added. So many of our Wing Chun combinations may look similar as Hung Gar with the difference being Hung Gar will add the "Chum" or sink. Mainly in Wing Chun we are turning around an axis and do not want to break our centerline. Hung Gar will use the body mechanics to create a sinking action before thrusting. This video is a good simple example of this added technique from the Hung Gar.
