Where do you learn all this stuff? Much respect.

When he throws his right hand wide why do you not just block with your left hand and strike to the face with your right hand, instead of crossing your arms to block his right arm with your right arm, sticking your left hand in his face, and then switching the hands. Maybe there is a reason that I am missing but I would like to learn.

Certainly could do this ala Wing Chun. This is a linear kind of power though and we were trying to get some hung gar style opening closing kind of movement in the drill. Since I led this technique it doesn't really work to do a straight stop hit as in stopping his shoulder now. I have my momentum offensively from my pak as I went first or at worst I am starting from Jeet. (intercepting) This is getting to the point of analytic confusion here I'll tell you the simple answer from experience is you will run into this left arm with your right on the outside and wind up 50/50 at best. I hate 50/50's. I like to be engaged only at my advantage, otherwise be all the way out.
