I must say, you've done a fantastic job in presenting these lenses in this video. "35mm = WHERE They Are . 85mm = WHO They Are" I've made my decision ;)
I have both the canon 35 1.4 mk 2 and the 85 1.4.I have my very first pro model shoot on the 27th of july and will be taking both lenses.Im hoping to use the 35 for more wider/full body shots and the 85 for more waist upwards shots and close up face shots.Im confident that i can do a decent job by working this way.
The way u explained is too good for any lay man to understand . I liked your video bottom of my heart and I exactly understood for what both lens are . May u drop more and more videos going forward 🎉❤
I am a beginner and this was such a nice, short video explaining the difference between the two focal lengths. Now I have a much better idea of what they are good at and how I can use them. Thank you so much for this!
I love an 85mm, I think it looks amazing for portraits and it's easier to control your background than a 50mm or especially a 35mm but, if you need full body portraits or a bit more room for angles, the 50mm is probably ideal.
@@parkcameras thank you!! I wish there was a series for hairstylist on taking pics in all the different lighting in and around a salon in real life settings and time frames.
Yes. I have those 2 lenses. Not the expensive versions. I like the 35 better but I think that particular 85 is just not as good. I would like to see how the top end 85 looks.
I love a good 50mm f/1.8 as a prime, I think it's a useful one to have and I would probably go for that over the 35mm. That said, it depends whether you like shooting a little wider. The 35mm would compliment the 85mm quite well with the 24-70mm to fill in the gaps. I think I've actually changed my own mind and would probably go for the 35mm f/1.8 to compliment the 85mm :-)
35mm = WHERE They Are
85mm = WHO They Are
brilliant
Agreed. Well said

What did u end up choosing?

You should make a "35mm vs 50mm vs 85mm" (:

Great Interesting points on where & who, Thankyou
I’m trying to figure out should I buy the sigma 18-35 or get two lenses 35mm and 85mm?
Learned what I needed! Thank youuuuu!
This video was SO damn insightful and helpful. Thanks for sharing you thoughts in a simple and understandable way!🤓 #cheers
What lens would you suggest for taking portraits in a small space such as a 10 x 10 room? I have a nifty-50 but was considering an 85 mm

Amazing review.
If you can only have 2. I would have a 35mm and a 85mm vs the 50mm.

I have the Viltrox 85mm f1.8 on my Z6 and a Tamron 24-70 2.8. f mount. Between those lens, would you get the 35mm or 50mm 1.8s to add?
