Sorry to be so off topic but does someone know a way to log back into an Instagram account? I was dumb lost the password. I would appreciate any tips you can give me!
@Lukas Conor i really appreciate your reply. I found the site through google and Im in the hacking process atm. I see it takes a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
Personally the most important lesson I've learned from you is that to build talent beyond the role of the photographer can be such a tremendous improvement to the quality of work. You are a tremendously talented photographer. You are also an awesome stylist, makeup artist, and hairstylist. Most photographers, including me, are completely incapable at doing the other stuff. I always remember a powerful quote from Joe McNally: "The easiest way to make sure you take interesting photos is to point your camera at interesting subjects". Your talent for styling ensures that you are always doing just that. Thanks for continually inspiring us all!
Loved this video. Shooting self portraits made me a much better photographer. I learnt so much about my camera though them. Also, thrifting elevated my creativity. I find amazing dresses from thrift stores and they elevate my photos. Thank you Irene ❤️❤️🤎
It’s just amazing when you actually click on a video and it’s everything you ever wanted !! Professional photographer sharing helpful tips 👏🏼👏🏼 you got me on the first tip wanting more !! Congrats
Irene, you are amazing! Your photography is engaging, your tips are SO usable, and you are so "REAL" with your approach. Thank-you again for inspiring me. Please yes, Part II! Thanks for the ideas. My biggest takeaway here is the step-ladder. Change the angle of view! Brilliant and important :)!
Props, Ladders and Thrifting. These are my biggest takeaways.I have a small 3-Step ladder that I bring with me (I shoot on location most of the time) and it makes a lot of difference.
thank you so much irene! i'm a starter in professional pgotography (i used to take pictures on my phone before) , and now i feel pretty much confident about it.
A tip for you - For tripod stand stability in my studio I have begun using the plastic covered round disk canope leg weights. They have a slot that fits around the center post of the tripod and they sit well on top of the leg cross braces. Each is 5 lbs and 2 can be stacked to hold most tripod stands with even a monolight and a 32" soft box on them. They work far better than sand bags for this type stand. C stands work better with the butterfly type sand bags.
RE: "Rotate The Image:" I have been a doodler and pencil drawer for many years. I found early on that I noticed things I wanted to change a lot easier if I turned the drawing upside down! I thought it was just me all along, so it's nice to see that others use this technique to edit. Thanks for sharing!
..i am photographing 30 years, but always looking for new tips and learning new thinkings.....i enjoy your great videos...thanks for your work...inspiring...🙂
I'm impressed with your recommendation of DPP, I use it and I'm happy with it. Most professional photographer recommended only Adobe programs but, to me it's a point for you! Thanks for your videos Irene.
Using the stepladder as a reflector stand is a great idea. I don't know why I ever thought of it, thanks. The reflector stand is one less thing I have to bring with me now. Film? I went digital 20+ years ago and will never go back. Yes, please post more. I'm always looking for new ideas. Thanks Irene.
Great video as always. For me a tip to share is look for a camera club or other photographers to shoot with. Everyone has their own personal style and we can all learn from each other. You don't need to hire teachers all the time because many good photographers love to share their knowledge. But don't take advantage of someones good will and ask a million questions. Find a photo buddy something that you have done videos on.
As always, you inspire. I’ve picked up most of these tips over time, watching your amazing videos. I’m a landscape photographer so if I were to get into portraiture your way is the only way for me. I love the natural light work. I had to replace my garden shed recently because my shed looked like it had been affected by an earthquake. As soon as the shed was up I thought ‘never mind the lawn mower, hedge clippers and rake ... this is my new studio’. Instead of hanging up my garden tools on the hooks I put a horizontal pole in place and clipped a floral duvet cover in place for my background. I then started experimenting with self portraiture as my pretty daughters can not be persuaded to model for me. I have been using Canon Connect for over a year now for landscape photography because it is so easy for capturing that lone figure or dog walker in a landscape and they have no idea they have been captured. They just think I’m texting someone. I have yet to buy my step ladder but that is next on my list. One tip for part two. I always noticed that you seem to be able to compose, focus and click very quickly. Then in one of your videos you gave me a clue. YOu said something about ‘face recognition’. I went through my Canon menus and eventually found it. This feature may be my saving grace when I persuade my girls to sit for me. Keep doing what you are doing. You are so inspiring.
I'm so excited to have found you!! Love, love your tips and they are so inspiring...winter is always tough because it's hard to shoot outside, but your ideas look so fun!!! Thank you....
Thank you for sharing so useful tips!I am a Chinese college student who has great interest in portrait photography.I am so distressed that in China the uploaders in Bilibili just talk about some superficial knowledge about portrait photography to sell their lessons!!I cant learn anything from them.So i turn to RUclips for some help and found you.You are a treasure.I have learnt a lot from your video.Thank you!!!!!!
Make up, and then later, very little or no makeup in your portrait photos, sounds like the evolution of a "painting master", as some of the old painter masters transitioned their styles over the years. The fun of being a photographer is experimenting with the styles. Love your theme shoots!
Here's a tip for the self portrait stuff: Use the wifi as she suggested, once you find your framing and lighting, use interval timer shooting if your camera has that. That way you can flow in your posing without having to look at your phone or run to the camera and back after ever shot
You are the best wonderful woman having ideas 💡 for sharing with us That’s absolutely the best artist and you have great soul to do that Thank you irene 🙏🏻 And good luck Keep moving 👌🌷
I love it, thanks. Waiting for that 2nd video.. I am planning to buy a Canon and I will like some advice. I explained to the guy in the store the type of pictures I will like to learn to do and he named you.
Thanks So Much. Its difficult to keep beliving and trying photography during quarinting. I have over 50 rolls of 120 and 35mm. that I havent been able to develop. Im glad there are people like you that want to help others. Thank You. Daniel
I love all your ideas, props, photos in general. Couldn't wait though till you come out again with something other than shooting. Thank you for your work 😊
Irene, you killed it! Always, always, always learning on your channel. Definitely gonna crop in camera now & use many more of these tips. Thank-you for always sharing your knowledge. Helps tremendously!
Love this video! Thank you Irene for putting so much into this! My favorite tip from you is Thrift shopping for props and themes! You are one of my favorite story tellers in photography!
About the tip #5: "still works great even though I spilled many thing on it and I dropped it a lot" this is so much me!! Love your tips Irene, thank you so so much!
Those were some great simple tips everyone can practice on their own. Thanks so much for bringing up your small ladder as a tool to change your viewpoint.
Very nice tips for portrait photographers. I highly recommend the DPP 4 tip to all photographers who only work with Canon equipment. DDP has become indispensable for my RAW development. First and foremost for the unmatched quality but also because of the perfect automation that is possible with DPP. Then, depending on my ideas, I continue with TIFF in other software. Thx
I've done pencil drawing for years. One of my longtime editing techniques was to turn the drawing upside down - to look for lines that were out of place. All along I thought I was the only person to do that! Nice to see that someone else uses the technique to get better angles and to edit from a different perspective. Thanks for sharing!
Hi from Brazil, I Love this channel, your photos is amazing and you so lovely. I'm learning english for understand better what you talk in your videos. Tks so much for all tips.
Brilliant video ... loved the tips, well edited, easy to follow video, quick and interesting. Appreciate the time it must take to edit these videos together .. and oh by the way i have just ordered my editing tablet! thanks again.
Really excellent tips! Most of these I had not seen anywhere else, but I can see the benefit of all of them! Thank you! (PS I never new about Nikon's own RAW processor, but it is installed now! THANK YOU!).

For the 1st tips: Clic on the 4 little square in Lightroom, it will give you access to adobe process AND your native camera image processor.
Still doesn't work as well as a native software
@@IreneRudnyk Is there a download for Mac?
