    Chris, I used your video for inspiration, but instead of cutting and modding the Hubsan cable, I just modded the 3S extension. Working on just the extension was quite easy. Since the extension does not have a sheath, I only had to cut the Pos and Neg wires and leaving the inner two wires completely intact.

      Daniel It’s a pretty good case but better if you trim the foam a little for the quad and batteries. If you don’t own a hobby grade balance charger like the type Im using your missing out. Make sure it charges LiHV batteries and soldering is very easy if you just use the right stuff and know how to use the iron. You weren’t the Dan I was referring to by the way. lol

    There is always a risk of short circuit if we connect the battery first by mistake. I understand why you have wrapped the red cable in plastic. I have made the cable like that one but replaced that banana plug with XT60 just for peace of mind.

    Well my Zino finally arrived at my door this evening. I opened up the box, took a look and put it away. I must be honest, I'm a little hesitant at getting started with this thing. As previously stated I'm really new to drones and quite the novice. So now that I hear It needs new updates, that's another hurdle I must approach. It would be great if you might give a tutorial on how to update, for us newbies. I would much appreciated it, if you might find it possible. Thanks for all you do for the community of flyers.

    Thanks for posting this. I don’t have a Zino, but I recently purchased a Bugs4w, which comes with its own plug in USB charger. It takes like 4 hours to charge !
    I’m hoping for someone to come up with a “socket” type connector like the Zino has , for the Bugs4, that way I can mod it and use my SkyRC B6 to charge it. The way the Bugs charger is made, there’s no way I can storage charge my Bugs battery either. Anybody out there have any info on a cable/socket adapter or come up with their own mod for Bugs4 ? Thanks for all the info in this video and thanks for posting it !

    I have followed your instructions and modded my charge cable but when I hook it up to my HTRC T206 it doesn't work well. When I try to get the resistance the charger says that the battery is not connected and when I do get it to charge it gets to a point where number one cell is showing 4.99v and the other two is 4.27v where it gets stuck and starts looping back and forth discharge a little and charge a little.
    I let it go for a hour and a half before giving up and using the Hubsan charger.

      I have checked them with a meter and it says that it is good. I only cut the black and red ones and the charger is a T240 not a T206. Could it be the charger? It's new and was bought for lihv or should I just resolder? Thanks so much for your time and help.

    • @QCGUY
      @QCGUY  5 лет назад +1

      For that size wire which is either 22AWG or 24AWG I suspect it will warm the wires up at about 5AMPS which is right around the max for those I suspect. Charging the ZINO at 3AMP the wires remain cool but these are definitely not the type of cable quality you want to leave unattended while charging for sure.
