If you're Getting an error message ‘the device is unreachable’ then go into your settings scroll down and tap on "Photos" and scroll down to where it says "Transfer to mac or PC" tap on "keep originals" and that should do it, if not that then try "automatic"
I love the iPhone but Apple has to make it so fucking difficult just to transfer pictures. When im in the middle of transferring it just wouldnt let me transfer at all, then I had to plug the cable in to restart the process.
You just have to go to your Display settings and change it to never. Then you display won't shut off, putting the phone in "sleep mode". That's why it stops in the middle of transfers.

I'm glad you mentioned to unplug the phone and plug it back in after you click on "allow". I had been trying to transfer my pictures to my PC for a very long time and could not get past that step. I got almost this far myself but I was trying to copy to a USB on the front of an HP. Kept crashing, then found this video and tried copying to the desktop. Working much better. Maybe I have a little hardware problem or maybe writing to a USB is more than the process can manage. Thanks
For people that can’t find anything! When u plug in the phone and open files you should see under This PC, Apple iPhone. Click Apple iPhone, double click internal storage, double click DCIM, and the rest of the folders after that should be your pictures from your phone
@@TechManZ Hey Techman, I had the exact same problem. It comes up with 'we can't open this file'. Really unsure why this is as it has never happened to me before.

I can’t move them, when I try to paste them into my computer it says “ there’s an error while moving” there is no ability to connect the device”...even tho I can see my pictures, help!
DavyDave1313 you need to go to your pc gallery and search for import and choose what you want and remember to check your Bluetooth is on a not (pc and phone)

this happened to me too! just copy the file into the new folder again while ur phone is connected (for my laptop it asked me if i wanted to replace the old file so i pressed yes), i disconnected my phone after that and all my pics were there! hope this helps :)
THANK YOU very much, after reading all these comments, I was ot even going to try, I have been at this for 4 hours, It was very easy, after all i been through tonight trying to get my pics on to my computer. I never even got all the way through as soon as i saw that folder after clicking on it there where my photos I don't understand the issues i read in the comments. There is no need to install itunes for that, you can do that just by connecting with cable, but I dont see all my photos there
