Dude thank you so much for this video! I needed this a couple of weeks ago so I could have gotten the right one! Haha! I can confirm that the Cook Bros. Racing headset, made by Box Components, is pretty much the same Box headset but a little fancier. The Cook Bros DID NOT FIT my Skyway TA 1-1/8 Integrated headset with the 45/45 bearings. The Cook Bros does not state that it's a campy style and I think that's the problem. Let me ask you this.....if you were me, building out this Skyway, what headset would you get? I was told by another guy who built a Skyway that he used the Bullseye integrated headset and it worked. I checked out the Chris King and they suggested I get the Dropset 4 but on their website it doesn't state that it's a campy style bearings. Why is this all so confusing???? Haha! I'm almost certain any 'regular' (20") bmx headset will work that is campy 45/45 spec, but you might need one with a bigger top, like the "conical" ones. I sent you some suggestions on IG. Good luck!!!
Thank you for the video, I’m ocd about bearings, I actually run a mid school FSA tapered bearing original design Orbit (lower cup) and a FSA Pig unsealed bearing same deal original design and parts (upper cup) I’m a believer while I run unsealed wheel bearings and feel like they run so smoothly when unsealed as opposed to seated. That being said that Chris king looks like it’s butter melting when you turned it 🤤 but I can’t stand the branding and design lol. Do you have any knowledge on XS FSA tappered bearing bottom brackets? I’m sold on them as well. I run it on my 2000 Blue Falcon. What do you ride? What do you run for your setup on your personal bike? Loved the video man!
