I'm 60 years on this planet this time so far. Richard was always a favorite so long ago. And even better when he got a little older as in this concert. He will always be at the very top of my list of all of my all-time favorites over the span of my entire life. He is GREAT!
I have been Richard’s dedicated fan since he started almost 37 years ago. I will always be his friend and a fan and yes, even love him too. A lot of people love Richard and his music. Being a Virgo, he keeps his feelings close to his chest, and he doesn’t always exhibit, his feelings. At times, he’s a very emotional composer and other times he’s not that’s just Richard. His three sons remain dedicated to their father and the way they were raised. They always come to him for any problem. Richard is a great problem solver. He is a very dedicated person, and very analytical, so he’s in his head a lot.
There has always been such melancholy in his songs and tone. He always seemed sad to me. It's nice to see that he had a great life for 25 years with one woman and 3 sons. Gives the rest of us hope :)
He found a beautiful woman in Daisy Fuentes & she loves him a lot!! One can hear it in of the songs he has written for folks like Kenny Rogers, Olivia Newton-John, Luther Vandross, Keith Urban, Whitney Houston, LeeAnn Rimes, N'sync, John Legend, Chicago, Backstreet Boys, etc. So you can look up all of his music, he wrote for Many Many artists!!! Been a fan of Richard's since his debut in 1987 but never saw him live until 2016. Couldn't believe how well he still sang. It's like his voice hasn't even aged. He was also totally by himself (no band) too. Just him & a piano & a guitar. Even so, the songs still sounded amazing. So, if u ever get the chance, go see him. You won't be disappointed.

He's got a very particular tone of voice like Peter Cetera, Layne Staley, Eddie Vedder and so many others that I can't recall right now. When he steps into music charts music was jumping into alternative rock and grunge, very bad luck for him, he's very underrated he deserves more credit
+Luis Garcia I actually think Marx did get a lot of credit for his talent. He came on the scene during the "hair metal" era of the late 1980's, and he had seven hit singles in a row. What was a shame was that after the 80's ended and the "grunge/alternative" era began, there was a tendency in the music industry to push all of the 80's acts to the sidelines, and that affected a lot of artists that didn't deserve that treatment. I guess the irony is that grunge and alternative ended up being short-lived, and all of those 80's acts ended up having a renaissance in the 2000's.
I agree. I think Richard Marx became the emblem of cheesy 80s pop--undeserved given his talent. Ultimately he gets the last laugh though. As the writer of so many megahits, some he performed himself, some that other stars made famous...he is making bank with every purchase, download, stream, radio play, and live performance of that catalog--and then tours himself on top of that. An incredible talent.

I was rocking to Richard back in 1988 and never knew what a quality individual that he is until I watched this and heard him talk about his life and family. I loved it when he was speaking so highly of his father and exclaimed that he "hit the dad lottery".....he's a class act

Mr Richard Marx's voice, is up there with Barry Manilow. It's so distinctive. I wish I had his talent, to express myself! I kneel to this fella. Keep it up Richard, you can do no wrong, and your kids are an absolute stars in their own right! Nice.
