Reminds me when our family got transferred to Mexico City in 1959. Once we got into Mexico, travelling in the desert, we would come across these shacks in the middle of nowhere where the guards would search the car. They would take whatever they wanted, like toys, but would hold up new small appliances we were bringing back, and not take them, because they didn’t know what they were. They were essentially bribe points.
I love your family. I love it when JJ tells Marrisa that it's going to be OK Mom. I love your kids. Thanks for letting us go to Mexico with you. Have a safe trip.
A family we know here in Lancaster just came back from Mexico. Ran into her at the grocery store and she seeems fine and dandy. I'll be praying you guys continue to have a fun, relaxing and safe time. Just watch your kids closely ❤️
Enjoy folks, I have friends who are travelling all over Mexico in their RV as we speak . We chat every day …they love it and have never felt safer and have been there for quite some time now . 😎🌴☀️
So glad it turned out that your friend found his missing spare tire. Glad you got to go through to Mexico after finding out about the passport. Glad you are staying at a place in Baja! Funny seeing the fur in the egg. It looks beautiful there! Hope you had a great time! See you all soon! Safe travels!
Bienvenido a Baja. Cherish that nervous feeling it means you’re LIVING! Enjoy your time here and look us up in you fun yourselves near Playa La Mision on your way back north.
My parents have been heading down there in their RV for a couple of years now. This was a great way for me to understand why they like it so much. And to see a quick snippet of my sweet dad sitting in a chair, staring at the ocean as you guys pulled up in the neighboring site was a wonderful gift. I hope you guys are having a blast & can't wait to follow along!
Have a great trip. I had a friend live in Baja for a year. She loved it. She had to come back to help her father, otherwise she would have stayed there.
I agree I clean house before I leave. If someone broke it, I would be embarrassed and afraid they would talk about it. Plus, I clean the house before the housekeeper comes
I am so happy for you guys, if your gonna go to Mexico with your family, then as a caravan would be the best way to go! WOW you all are super brave babies and all? Im impressed! I am such a worry wart
Having lived in Ca for forty years, have been back and forth many many times….going in is MUCH easier than driving back out!!! THEY’RE NOT SO NICE ON THE FLIP FLOP!
I’ve been to Akumal, half moon bay,Rocky Point, Cabo San Lucas, and over the boarder in Algadones. Never a problem. I was afraid before I went the first time. 🥰💕🫶
Wish I had known you were going to San Felipe, my cousin retired down there and owns Rancho Bugambillas RV park, vacation rentals. It has a beautiful pool , several casitas, campground and social clubhouse right on the water.. We love it there!!
Looking forward to spending at least a month in Mexico! We’ll find a group to head down with, hopefully we can do some volunteering while resetting our US time limit during the winter.
“This looks fake.” Exactly what I was thinking as the words came from your mouth, Marissa. Wow! What incredibly beautiful scenery you don’t get to see everyday. Enjoy. 💕🙏☀️😘
Thank you so much for this playlist on RVing in Baja! We are preparing for our first baja RV trip with friends this January! I am super nervous but your videos are helping give me a realistic view of this journey...and that maybe i don't need to worry so much. Just wanted to say thank you for your effort and time to share this information!
Yay! Always fun to see the going over the border videos. Glad you arrived safely and hanging tight for the next one to see what happens! JJ is growing up so fast! So cute with hat on backwards!
Marissa, I not enough of a neatness person to worry about the state of my home if someone breaks in, but then I don't worry about anyone ever breaking in, either. My thing about my home is I can dirty it up thru-out the day, but it's gotta be clean (especially the kitchen) before I go to bed at night, so every morning I can wake up to a relatively neat/clean home. However, I am a single person living alone and don't make much mess thru the day, so only takes 10-15 minutes to clean the place up before I change into jammies and settle into bed.
Hello there Guys nice to see you guys are having fun with your good friends nice to have friends to spend time together. Be very careful there in Mexico.. love seeing your beautiful Kids having fun... JJ and your daughter are getting big so sweet... enjoy your time together have fun stay safe out there on the roads 😊 Take care 🙂 thanks for taking us along with you everywhere you go we appreciate it 😊
We go to Mexico 2x a year and always take dollars. Mexico loves the US dollar. It was 17MX to 1 US in January 2023. Enjoy yourself guys, they love Americans! ❤
Yep, I went down a one-way road in the middle of Cabo San Lucas. I got about one block up the road when a bunch of police on foot started waving NO, NO, NO! and signaling for me to turn around. One of them literally walked out into the street to stop me! They were super nice about it and were laughing at me the whole time. Hehehe!
Yeah, no matter how 1000% innocent I was, I always stressed over crossing the border, the Federales stops and all of the rest - and I have sailed down 3 times, up once & I literally have no idea how many vehicle crossings. It's just intimidating. I would think kids would help. And well-trained and cute puppies.
I can recognize your strong feelings when national borders have to be crossed. We live in Denmark and usually cross 4 - 5 different borders on our camper holiday in Europe - Croatia, the Czech Republic, Germany and France. I enjoy following your travels - warm greetings from Denmark
@@LessJunkMoreJourney 🥰Our big dream is a trip to the USA and North America in a motorhome - who knows, maybe the dream will come true 😊 until then, we have to settle for Europe 🇪🇺🏰💶⚽️
I totally clean my house too when we leave for vacation!!! You're not alone. 1) In case someone breaks in. And 2) I know when I'm trying to "relax" on vacation I'll just be thinking "I could be cleaning my house right now". And 3) One less thing to deal with when you get back. And no, I am definitely not a neat freak either. You are not alone Marissa!!!
You are not alone about cleaning your house before leaving on vacation!! If we die in a car crash I don’t want people thinking I’m a slob! 😅 The Baja beach looks amazing! Be safe & enjoy! ❤🙏🏼
You guys are doing one of my bucket list items. I can't wait to hear your impressions of RVing in Baja California. We are still a couple years from full time travel so i'm hoping it stays the same and stays safe for Americans.
I enjoyed watching this video. Thanks for showing us how it goes. We have heard stories from other like-minded travelers. Mostly good. Always be aware of your surroundings and travel in groups. Have fun..
AT&T mobility doesn’t work in Mexico, but few know that AT&T bought Mexican Mobility, they call it AT&T Mexico now. You can get plans with no borders, so it can be used in Canada and Mexico.
I’m 65 years old widow now but I grew up in Boulder Colorado and we used to run to the war has border for just a day or two to shop or to get a nice dinner really cheap and eat wonderful tacos and we had a great time I haven’t been for 10 years now and I don’t have a passport so I have to get one but you will have a wonderful time shop all the markets wheel and deal it’s great for in 90% of the Hispanics love the American people and our money. Lol. Relax now no worries they’re glad to have you as visitors.
I have to geek on the editing on this video. Very well done sir! I felt the emotions. I love Mexico and I am looking forward to this adventure. Thanks guys!
I used to feel like you until my home was broken into while on a vacay. It’s such a violating feeling what the burglars were thinking about my cleaning habits is the last thing that comes to mind.
I think it’s absolutely awesome that you are traveling down there. I’m from Az originally and lived in Ca. for about ten years and I have always wanted to travel in Mexico. I can’t wait to see all of your adventures ❤
It's a good idea to rub your eggs in some fresh water before using if you are not making eggs boiled in the shell. Remember to keep fresh water nearby to rinse your mouth and toothbrush. When you see trucks drive by with men in the bed of the truck wearing helmets and carrying big guns, that is a good thing. I am Canadian. When I enter the US or Mexico I am going to spend money which helps their economy. In Mexico 100 pesos equals 5 US dollars so just multiply by 5. 40 pesos is about is about $2 USD. BTW Mexicans go make donuts but they are not the same as in US and Canada, they are more bread like.
Marisa.. I am right there with you. Gotta make sure everything is cleaned up, cleaned, put away, lawn mowed. I don’t wanna come home to a messy house 😂
The US has pretty unique requirements for eggs. In order to be sold in stores, they must be washed. Most countries don’t even allow that because it washes off the protective coating, thus exposing the porous texture to bacteria. There are farmers from Europe with RUclips channels that show how they process their eggs. And basically, anything too dirty doesn’t get sold. Any egg mildly dirty gets scratched off with sandpaper. Eggs can last longer if they haven’t been washed, too. I have chickens and have eaten six month old unwashed eggs. If you keep them in the fridge, it’s mostly fine… sometimes you get a bad one and that smell haunts you for days. Which is why cooking shows tell you to always crack your eggs in a separate bowl and not directly over what you’re trying to make. The flock I have this year are particularly dirty girls. I actually washed my eggs while watching this video. Hens lay with the sun. So as the days get longer, they’ll lay more. The eggs I washed will get eaten before they go bad because I don’t have to ration them in springtime. Anyway, hope that explains why your eggs had feathers. 😂
Starting from your first video! Next time you want to head to Baja hit me up! I live in that border town in the US! I can help you in any which way, with locations and spots - even in Mexicali MX 😉 thanks for sharing !!

Gracias por visitar México.
Gracias por invitarnos! (I think I said that right)
I've never seen a person so anxious about crossing a border that Marissa, Baja California is Geared up for tourism as is Cancun, safe travels 🇬🇧🇬🇧
I went to San Felipe close to 20 years ago, it was really nice.

I hope all of you were finally able to relax and enjoy your journey. What a beautiful location! Thanks for sharing so much great and important info.
