I’m just so impressed with yall. You’re together 24/7 and you’re not killing each other. You’re also so great to watch! So genuine and no fakey fakey . You both should thank God, you found each other. People look all their lives and never find their super compatible soul mates like yall have. I’m all about me some Hanks. Congrats on your wonderful journey and the memories you are making. ❤❤
With the frost free hydrants, you want to disconnect and turn it off when not in use. They prevent freezing in the hydrant by draining the water down to below the frost line. When it's on, it can't drain. Fill your tank and keep it heated. and leave the hose off until you need to refill the tank.
Love your adventures! I'm from Ohio and totally get what you're saying about weather! For the past year I have been following a RUclips weatherman that is absolutely wonderful...Ryan Hall Y'all. His weather is spot on. He goes live during severe weather and keeps people informed down to calling out street names where tornados are on the ground. He's the only weatherman I trust. Safe travels.
We tried scrambled eggs, chicken sausage, cottage cheese and thought it pretty Tasty! Little Muffet eating her cords and whey is actually the purest form of cottage cheese... For somthing different, try orange sherbert ice cream and bread and butter pickels.mmm!
Instead of soaking your pan, sprinkle a little baking soda over the egg, then rub it with a damp (almost dry) cloth. It's very easy to clean egg off stainless steel this way. Clean the spatula the same way.
Gotta say, using scissors to cut up cooked sausage quick was a new one ❤. I use the svissors all the time in the kitchen for opening frozen veggie packages and such. But one for food, hih .
Howdy. Just a quick tip, it's a generally accepted practice to be plugged into shore power while you use any of the leveling jacks or put your slides in or out. While plugged to shore power you have the power provided by your converter. Your converter takes 120 VAC and converts it to 12 VDC so while the high demand of jacks and slides can tax batteries alone, your converter can handle those extreme loads along with the battery. Stay safe out there.
Interesting note: A retired FBI van lifer told me that wasp spray is one of the best things to keep for personal safety protection so, I now keep a can handy in arms reach when traveling.
Kyle, I love your use of 4-wheel drive in consideration of the Harvest Hosts’ grass/yard. I’d do the same thing especially when starting out from a standstill and soil/weather conditions are wet.
I sure hope you stay hunkered down to escape the huge storm moving east. FYI if you stay on I-80 through Iowa and Nebraska you should be fine but if you are hitting Missouri, the south half of Illinois or Kansas you will be stuck or worse in the ditch. Safe travels
You two are a hoot!!! I live in SW Washington now, but born and raised in northern-Ohio. My wife and I walked into Jungle Jim's 20 years ago. I was walking down the aisle when I saw 2 guys come walking out of a porta-pot. WTH; I had to check it out and was pleasantly surprised to see an extremely nice restroom hidden in behind the porta-pot. They used to have an old fire engine hanging over the various hot sauses, etc. We still talk about that trip 20 years later!!! Keep up the great work!!!
If you plug in a "Ground /neutral bonding plug" to your generator you will NOT need to use bypass on your Progressive industries management system. There are lots of RUclips videos showing why you have to do what you currently do if you connect your RV to a generator and how a ground/neutral bonding plug will fix it. I have a GD and used to switch over like you, not any more, I made one (videos on that also) for about $3. Good luck.
Another great video! Be careful in that freezing weather we were in a Campground in IA one year on a trip and got caught in freezing temperatures. I went to drain the gray water tank, and it wouldn't drain. Turns out that the gray water wasn't frozen, but the scum built up from grease, soap, and shampoos had frozen and blocked the drain. After that incident, I made a point of twice a year of adding a combination of a grease-cutting dish soap like Dawn with a small amount of bleach and fill the tank half full then drive several miles to slush the solution all around and then let it sit overnight and drained the next day. Never ever the issue again.
What fun playing "Whack-Crap" in the snow. 😅 My old roommates were BIIIG golfers. That's what they called it. Yall just please be safe driving in the potential messes. Love y'all! 😘👍😊
Carl if you are spraying wasps you show note were they are and wait until night when they in the the nest and then spray them. You do not get sung because they where sleep. Safer and easier.
I always love that even with how much the channel has grown in the last 3 years, you’re still so frugal! Keeping your beloved trailer, drinking regular coffee from the TA for a couple of bucks, not $12 for a couple of Starbucks, etc. Staying true to your long term goals!! Drink a couple of brews for me at Sierra Nevada when you get back to N. CA!
We stopped at Winton Woods on a cross country trip and were also very pleasantly surprised at the accommodations. We also had an infestation of sorts, not in the rv but the 7 or 20 year cicada hatch. There were millions everywhere.
Five minutes in and that's exactly what popped into my mind. This was so fun, I hit the subscribe button (and I don't really subscribe to channels). Well done, Hanks, well done!
Native Minnesotan, weather is fiercely independent in MN and surrounding areas, get through as fast as you can! We enjoy your adventures, especially now that our Beauty is stored for the winter.
Thanks Hanks for my Thursday fix. Been recovering from surgery for the past 8 weeks and always look forward to your videos. Love your honest good/bad/ugly of being on the road full time.
I’ve found that a flat sheet in place of the fitted sheet is easier to put on. I don’t tuck it around the top of the mattress, I just can’t reach and lift the mattress at the same time.
We stayed at Winton Woods several times, whenever traveling from south to north. It is fantastic park with some very nice walking trails and views of the lake at the campground. ❤
You are very thought provoking amongst other aspects so been watching you for a very long time to my benefit. I’m a retired RN been RVing since I was 11 yrs old. Been in my own towable 21 ft Lance part time for 7 yrs. I was told by Camp World serviceman to use old fashion cheap flea & tick collars for dogs to wrap near the propane tank to keep wasps away. They love propane & it calls them. I haven’t had any problems so far. Hope that helps. Safe journey!!
Blending or whisking the cottage cheese with the eggs before cooking reduces the size of the curds. They cook up fine and make really creamy scrambled eggs.
Welcome to Ohio. Great to see you enjoying Winton Woods and Jungle Jim's. JJ's is my weekly goto for groceries and libations. Love you guys, love your show.
Left Florida before Christmas coming to Ohio. Heading back tomorrow and have had plans to stop at Jungle Jim’s tomorrow. Found it several years ago and always enjoy stopping when we get the chance
Love to follow along with your adventures. You can mix dish soap with water in a spray bottle and use it to kill bees, ants, spiders and the like. It works well and is nontoxic and safe for most surfaces.
We have several generators with multiple cords. To solve the sticky connection/disconnect we use dilectric grease. Works everytime! Enjoy following you guys so very much.
Hadn't picked up that you enjoyed golf. Next time you guys are in the Texarkana area give me a shout. I'll take you out for a round at one of the clubs. Enjoyed the video. Taking an extra day for the snow to clear out is cool. Don't know how in the world you came out of that grocery store with only one small bag. 😆
I put laminated yellow stickie notes on my transmission selector. Slides, AC cord, TV antenna, jacks (Class A). Can't move without moving the stickie notes.
My Ram only has a 31 gallon tank. I like to be choosy with fuel stops. I added a 46 gallon fuel cell that fits in front of my 5th wheel hitch (& I have a 6’ bed). It is gravity fed - no extra moving parts. It helps.
Just did a 620 mile travel day to get above the snow storm ripping through the country this weekend, drove from Memphis TN to north of Dayton OH. Woke up to 12 degrees but at least we were about 40 miles north of the snow and well outside of the icing!
Jungle Jim's is amaze-balls! Only been once and could not see the whole thing in the time we set aside. You can definitely get your steps in at that place.
We stayed at Winton Woods in late April/early May and absolutely loved it!! There was a bald eagle nesting at the time and it was amazing to see. We also spent way too many hours and dollars at Jungle Jim’s 😅.

Ok I tried your scrambled eggs sausage and cottage cheese this morning and I give it a major thumbs up. Thanks for the idea. I would have never thought of that combination.
You were right in my home town! So sad I missed you guys but we were heading south to Florida! Maybe one day the stars will align and we will meet up on the road. ❤😊
This is another awesome video from the Hanks! I have really enjoyed watching it from sunny and warm Yuma Arizona 😊. See you next week and safe travels.
Oh my Gosh ! I love my Hanks they could be my kids. Mrs Hanks will not be cooking my breakfast. I almost “tossed my cookies” on the fake sausage, eggs look good and then the cottage cheese blew my mind. No flipping way. But that’s ok kids you do you! Keep on traveling and enjoy your young adult life.
So glad I just watched this episode. We’re traveling back to Ontario Canada from Florida. Staying tonight in Cincinnati…. And we’re 3.5 miles from Jungle Jim’s. Wooohooo
THIS episode was so great for my hubby and I to watch!!! Jungle Jim's is in OUR general neck of the woods and it's such a TRIP (in and of itself!)! We don't go there often because it's way too spread out. But that place is great for visitors to the area AND if locals are looking for rare grocery finds you can't find anywhere else.
Great video. Love the “date night.” That place looked great. Nothing like that in Massachusetts, but if you want to throw axes or bowl, there are a couple of places that do that and have good food. Be Safe.
Great episode - welcome to the Midwest! We had same concerns about "city" parks, but over the past two years we have found that 95% of them are hidden gems! They have been clean, safe and are usually cheaper than other options. Looking forward to next Thursday's episode!
Hello my wife and I watch your videos every week….We are an older couple that has a small motor home.. and travel some in the summer…..I seen where you were in our area and stayed at Winton Woods Campground….thats only about 15;minutes from us….lol If I would have known we would have took you and your wife out for a steak dinner…..I am a Baptist minister and pastor a church so we don’t get out a bunch, but maybe someday our paths will cross….or if you are back in this area ….we have a RUclips channel that we use mainly just so our family can see where we go lol……we are Traveling Hand in Hand /Through it All….. oh my name is Darrell and my wife is Vernice…..keep bringing the humor and the great videos….
Hi. Another good video. As someone else mentioned, you need a bonding plug for your generator. It'll allow you to use your onboard surge suppressor system with the generator.
I love you two crazy kids. My lifelong dream was to travel our beautiful country in our motorhome, but that was NOT my husbands dream. So, your videos allows me to live my dream through you. I am a retired ER nurse like you two, so travel nursing was on my bucket list…..again, there was a hole in my bucket. At 73, I’m afraid I waited about 20 years too long. We do winter in Florida for 3 months to escape SW PA snows!! Hope to run into you guys sometime. Come to Crystal River sometime!! We are on site 168 at Crystal Isle RV Resort!!
Cool to see you guys passing through my 'hood. That Top Golf is 10 minutes away from my house. And we have the same reaction every time we shop at Jungle Jim's. Safe Travels!
Wow that is some beautiful fat snow flakes! Yall be careful out there! Hope you don’t get stuck!! Happy Camping and Safe Travels!! ❤️❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻😻😻🥶🥶❄️❄️⛄️⛄️
Best time to hit a wasps nest is dusk, or early morning (especially when cool out, they are very lethargic ) , when it’s dark, they gather together at the nest, during the day they may be out. Enjoy your video adventures.

Different kind of video. No fancy places, no gotta-do mission, relaxed . . . enjoyed this one very much. Even the packing up at the start.

Yes! We love and trust Ryan! Best weather information and he helps so many folks affected by storms.❤
Love Ryan Hall's forecasting
Ive gotta say hot eggs + sausage + cottage cheese is the weirdest creation ive ever witnessed
I agree! I’ve never heard of cottage cheese with eggs. doesn’t sound good at all.
Sounds carnivore!
@@Skyegirl99 id eat it if someone cooked me it for sure
I couldn’t watch 🤢
We tried scrambled eggs, chicken sausage, cottage cheese and thought it pretty Tasty! Little Muffet eating her cords and whey is actually the purest form of cottage cheese...

We use cottage cheese in our eggs. When you are scrambling them, just the the cottage cheese to the eggs while it all cooks. Game changer.
Instead of soaking your pan, sprinkle a little baking soda over the egg, then rub it with a damp (almost dry) cloth. It's very easy to clean egg off stainless steel this way. Clean the spatula the same way.
I think you have really stepped up the quality of your videos. I appreciate your efforts and enjoy your escapades!
Jungle Jims is insane! We spent 4 hours there!!
Gotta say, using scissors to cut up cooked sausage quick was a new one ❤. I use the svissors all the time in the kitchen for opening frozen veggie packages and such. But one for food, hih .
Glad Dexter got extra screen time.
If your gray tank is open, leave the faucet dripping in the sink to prevent it from freezing.

I served a church just north of Winton Woods so I have hiked, biked, and canoed all over Winton Woods. I hope you enjoyed it.
Interesting note: A retired FBI van lifer told me that wasp spray is one of the best things to keep for personal safety protection so, I now keep a can handy in arms reach when traveling.
It sprays farther than pepper spray and harder to wipe off.
@@sherriecapp3234 and its easier to claim that its not for personal protection
As always, we love going along for the ride.
Kyle, I love your use of 4-wheel drive in consideration of the Harvest Hosts’ grass/yard. I’d do the same thing especially when starting out from a standstill and soil/weather conditions are wet.
Have done this often. Many people don’t understand that 4 wheel drive is often easier on the environment.
The generator and inverter both have floating grounds, you need a neutral to ground bond adapter and then the surge protector will be happy.
Golf driving range in the snow - love it. You know how to make the best of a snow storm. Stay warm. Great video
I sure hope you stay hunkered down to escape the huge storm moving east. FYI if you stay on I-80 through Iowa and Nebraska you should be fine but if you are hitting Missouri, the south half of Illinois or Kansas you will be stuck or worse in the ditch. Safe travels
