I am a ac technician with 37 years experience. I recommend you have your evaporator coil and blower wheel cleaned. And clean your air filter once a week. I recommend once you have had them cleaned. I recommend you run your ac on low cooling. That will dehumidify the air better, and make the air coming out colder.
I have bought a new to me, camper van. I don't think this ac unit has ever been serviced. I clean the filters regularly. I will have it serviced next month.
great info ... we rented an rv years ago, summer in N Mexico. Air wouldn't cool. Thankfully my FIL was doing a long stay where we were visiting & having 2 new units put in his rv. The guy doing that was happy to look for us. Everything was stopped up with debris.
Ok, here’s my 2 cents: I have a 42 footer that resides in central Texas. I ended up adding a third a/c in the 14x14 space above the kitchen. If you can’t afford that, starting early with the cool down is a must along with the Reflective window coverings. I also noticed that the manufacturer did such a a poor job of of sealing the plenum area AND the openings around the inside roof duct vents! I silver taped the Shiza out of all of that! I had leaking of cold air into the attic from nearly all vents. Also, an extreme thing I did which is what the Hanks did was, RV AIRFLOW SYSTEM! Worth the money! When I pulled the a/c’s up from the roof because we have whisper quiet units, I got to look down in the plenum area. HOLY COW! There were open areas up there as well that need more silver tape! After we did all of the above, we don’t use our fridge and just hang select meats from the roof inside the rv cause it’s so cold!!! HAHAHAHA
Okay, now I understand why some people with short travel trailers pitch a tent over them. I originally thought these people didn't like to get wet but it turns out they're using the tent to super-cool the RV. Plus it has the benefit of reducing stress on your AC system...
PS: a tip I learned from the sport Formula One: the cars have no radiators, so how can they run the engines in a hot climate like Bahrain? They attach a blower fan to the air intake and drop in a removable basket filled with ice. Every so often, a mechanic swings by and dumps a small cup of ice to keep the basket full. This chills the air before blowing it into the engine so it won't overheat as the car idles.
We have been camping for 14 years now. We just installed RV airflow systems in our AC unit and what a game changer. Our bedroom used to turn into a sweatbox on the hot days but now it's cool as a cucumber. Why did we wait so long. The difference in air flow movement throughout the whole camper is night and day.
Love your show. We went to Air flow June 25th. Couldn't wait to try it out. But as we were leaving Indiana to come home to Ohio . We might have been 20 or so miles from air flow . When a woman went left to center to prevent from hitting the back end of a semi. Hitting our new truck not even 3000 miles on it and completely totaled our 32 ft fifth wheel. We were not hurt. But she didn't have any insurance. Great right. They had to pry the camper off the hitch. She hit so hard the front wheel of the camper was lodged behind the 2nd wheel. Her bumper was wedged underneath the camper. A hot hot mess. To make the story short we losted our beautiful fifthwheel. And our new truck was damaged. Paying deductibles for both. But God must have a different plan for us. And He saved us from being hurt. Including the woman who hit us. I would still highly recommend Air flow. They are great. Even though we didn't get to experience how it worked. But what a great team. Thank you for all your videos and laughs. We ❤ you both. God bless.
We buy the material for the internal air conditioner filters at Walmart. It is one piece of foam that you cut to fit your air conditioner. It is about $3.00 and you get about 5 -6 filters out of one package.
I turn off my hot water heater. Makes a huge difference. I'm in a 29 ft class c and the hot water heater is under my bedroom closest. When on, it dramatically increases the temperature. I simply just turn it back on when I need hot water & keep it off when I don't
AC, great. Clean the filters, great. Lower your shades, great. Blahblahblah. 😂 PLEASE share your workouts! You BORH are looking so fit and healthy!!! Good road workouts are hard to come by!
For me that’s one of the negatives on full timing - finding you’re a hundred fifty miles at times from the nearest planet fitness or anytime fitness…. I wound up carrying some rogue loads or dumbbells, but that also means working out under the awning with passerby’s watching :)
We’ve lined the back of all our cabinets and areas inside that are up against the side walls with reflectix. This has helped a lot. We haven’t used reflectix on the windows because our manufacturer said it can damage the window seals and the window glass.
Just be aware that they recommend an "air gap" for this stuff to work "properly". I think it's about an inch of air space. We have it in the windows of the bunkhouse because the kids were complaining about the light so early in the morning and the heat baking them 🤣
As others have commented, we just recently painted the black AC shrouds and the refrigerator vent cover white. I also just did our two AC units following a couple of different DIY air flow diverters. It has been very hot here in the northeast, and one of our AC units isn't currently working. I can say the main area AC kept our entire 36 foot 5th wheel very cool, and the fridge stayed cold too, so those improvements definitely worked. We also velcroed plexiglass to our screen door so we can leave the door open while heating or cooling. I would like to try that reflectix in the cabinets now as I've seen those hints on YT.
I've also seen that suggestion for installing reflectix on what would be the exterior wall panel INSIDE interior cabinets. It makes a lot of sense & would help with both retaining the cooler air from AC use, or increasing heat retention in colder climates.
On the external refrigerator fans. I was under the impression that the fans should be installed on the top panel and forcing air out. (Chimney effect) Taking the hot air out not pushing air in. A trick I found on getting the seal flaps out properly is to use a hot dog/marshmallow skewer stick, put the prong under the flap on the bottom and run it up as far as needed. That will pull the flap out and you can do it from the ground. Box fan to circulate air and max air ceiling vents to pull initial heat out are both great ideas. We always do both.
I did the "DIY A/C MOD" and also taped up our bedroom air dump and smoothed out the air flow from it. I actually had to point the vent towards the wall away from the bed because the extra cold air made me sick after a couple days! I also pointed the vent in kitchen towards the door, so when it is opened, it pushes cold air out instead of letting hot air in. Best bang for your buck is AIR SEALING! Our front storage is under the top half of our bed and also the warmest/coldest spot. We have a 2020 Alpha Wolf 29QB-L. I just started caulking inside the cubby because with the door open you could see light from under the bed when looking inside. Next is insulation under there and panels to cover the 1x2's. I have also started sealing all the drain openings and wire openings where they come through the floor under cabinets. You don't need a 2 inch hole to run a 1/2 inch wire through it 🙄
I am never in a position to have an RV, but you both have given me a detailed life I would never have. Thank you for sharing your both and fun and laughter. Xx. From Millicent South Australia. Winter here now ❤❤❤❤
Thanks! It's 125+ in palm springs. It's dry heat so the addition of a portable swamp cooler works amazing with the A.C. it keeps my A.C. Bill down by 50 percent at least. I would have to use both of my A.C. to keep it close to what I acheive with just one A.C. and my portable swamp cooler. It would be unlivable without it. I would also recommend a inverter A.C. I just bought one 2 weeks ago and it is amazing it also doubles as a heater, and has a dry mode. The A.C. drys out the air causing evaporative cooling and the watter has exllent thermal compasity it dose the same when it adds water to the dry air.
Oh my goodness....125!? Thank you for sharing these great tips and for your wonderful generosity. We always see your comments every Thursday and appreciate you! 😊
As always, great video guys! RV’s are humidity magnets. If you don’t do something to keep the moisture out it will get everywhere. Like even in the walls. I run two air conditioners and a dehumidifier rated for 1200 square feet. That keeps the humidity down between 30 to 40 percent. That makes even warm temperatures feel cooler.
Never thought of the dehumidifier. We have one just sitting in the attic. Great tip in humid climates. We have already done the other tips. #1 for us was our DYI of the AC plenums.
Thank you for these tips. I never thought about getting a dehumidifer and after watching this yesterday, we ran out and purchased one. It has made a HUGE difference already!
Your killin me smalls. I’m from Sacramento. Currently in St Louis. 2 days ago my a/c’s shut down. My diagnosis hasn’t worked. “The Guy” is coming tomorrow. I love sleep sweat.
Thanks, Karl and NeyNey! I am not the first to mention this at all, but I have to say: You two are the most entertaining in this space. We admire the production time and effort that goes into these weekly videos. It really is a level above most! (all done in an RV or front/back seat of a Denali trundling across the country. Astounding! Take a bow, both of you. 🎉🎉 And... "Good boy, Dexter!"
Hi David! We want to thank you for your heartfelt comment. It truly means so much to us to be able to read these encouraging words. Dexter sends his love, as do we 😊
We have a ceiling fan in our main living area of our fifth wheel and it is on all the time. We also use a fan in our bedroom. Moving air makes you feel cooler.
Another idea I haven't seen discussed is putting UV tint on the RV windows (it can be clear). Blocking the UV rays will greatly help on those sunny days. I have it on the windows on my black car and it makes a big difference there too.
Yes good Tint can help. Some glass that is tinted from the factory is just stain color but does nothing for reflection UV rays. Yes you can get clear UV protection even for your car's windshield without it being top dark to see at night. I have tinted a couple of my RV's.
We love watching your channel! Look forward to the new videos every week. We don't actually own an RV, but our love came from when we stayed at Westgate River Ranch and stayed in RV's a few times, after being there a bunch of other trips prior. At one point we were really interested in RV life and learning more, came across your channel and had so much fun watching and learning over the past few months. Who knows one day we may think to switch up life and go full time. But thanks so much for the videos, so enjoyable!
Thanks for all the tips. You guys encouraged us to make the leap and get into camping/RV Life. I always look at white trucks and 5th wheels...in hopes of seeing you both.
Definitely good tips as an HVAC technician I agree with your opinions ! Having a strategy will make your a/c work better! Also as I am in retirement now I plan to full time Rv in more efficient climate locations!
Great suggestions. We've used all of these in our trailers winter and summer. We just had our A/C replaced (compressor seized up) and upgraded from a 13.5K to a 15K. So, in super hot weather, it will be nice! Skirting the RV is good, especially in winter, but wind storms are NOT their friend.
We have done everything you have mentioned. Ill add, make removable vent covers for the heating ducts, remove all the drawers from you hutch, i bet you will find a very large hole behind them and you can see right into your storage area. We made a removable piece of foam board and seal that spot off, reason for that is if you camp in the cold and need your furnace that hole into your storage space is for the furnace return. Once we sealed the spot, and with all the other upgrades we did just like you did, our A/C works less, wayyy less. Example, gulf shores Alabama a few weeks ago, heat index at 112. We were cool inside at 67 and the A/C's were cycling on/off about every 20 minutes and we own a GD295rl 150 series. We dont have all the wall insulation like regular campers. If you are not running a dehumidifier 100% of the time in a camer, even when not camping, you are asking for issues. Side note to dehumidifiers, i just recently encapsulated and sealed my crawspace at our home last winter and installed a whole house dehumidifier, WOW WHAT A DIFFERENCE. We have never had an electric bill less than $230 in the summer over the last 9 years we owned the house, now we haven't been over $100, in Tennessee. Making the A/C's work more efficient is key. Seal everything off you can and run dehumidifiers
Attaching a portable awning with suction cups on the side giving shade to the refrigerator and windows works when you don't have built in awnings on that side. Thanks for sharing and reminding us of some very simple solutions to reducing heat in the summer.
I'm going to try a dehumidifier for sure. We keep our shades closed, awning out (when we're present, never when we leave or in the wind). But what you guys are still missing out on, for more than one reason, is slide toppers! Feel the ceiling of your slides in direct sunlight, then feel again in the shade, you'll feel the difference and with your fridge being in a slide...come on guys, I know they cost money but they'll keep you and the broom off the roof and keep the RV and the fridge cooler! Kudos on the thermostat too, best upgrade ever.
I’m new full-time RVer & my Tiffin Allegro Bay has 2 slides with toppers but I always wonder - what happens if leaves or dirt or whatever is ontop of the toppers when I roll the slide in ? What am I supposed to do ???
@@GLITZGOESGLAMPING they fall off when it rolls in. I had one slide with a topper on my last trailer and not one issue, and our new 2021 5th wheel we ordered with them (four slides) from the factory, been three years and I would never be without them again, ever.
We recently went to Chimney Rock, NC where it was hotter than hell. We had the dogs with us, both are very hot natured, so we had to keep it cool. We were failing until we opened the vents on the AC to dump the cool air directly into the camper before it cycled through the scorching hot roof. For that reason I will never make it impossible to dump the air directly into the camper. Stay safe out there.
Love your videos! We’ve learned so much on our full time journey! Another trick we use is to point our bedroom vents towards the hallway, then use a box fan in the hallway to help add cold air to the main living area. ❄️
We have a 2024 Momentum 415G. I went to tape up the AC ducts better and see about adding the RV Airflow foam. To my surprise, the center AC unit already had one installed from the factory. The front and aft did not so i sealed it up with foil tape and called it good. Just doing that noticeably increased flow and cooling effect.
Great tips. I too have had evaporator coil freezing issues, but it didn't matter if I ran the fan on hi or lo. I recommend running the fan on low and auto to maximize dehumidification. If you run the fan on all the time, it puts the humidity back in the air when the AC isn't running.
@philandres6446 that's the first thing that came to my mind, as well. My unit is still under warranty. The dealer said that they don't check freon level but just replace the unit if it doesn't pass, so will wait until out of warranty before I check because I don't want to "tamper" and get rejected for warranty if something does happen.
We use the car window shades in all of our windows. They are typically lightweight, easy to install, and they fold up to store when not needed. They do an awesome job of keeping out the sun and heat! Love the channel!!
We winter in Florida with our coach. We got a Magna Shade last year and it is a tremendous help. We have those installed on the front windshield in addition to the side windows. Our coach is an 06 and had roof repairs that included new white paint on the aluminum roof. Another great help. Lastly we have 4 AC/HP with 4 zone cooling. They are all working. No shade trees at our spot and typically it gets up to the 70's in the winter. Not gonna be in Florida in the summer.
Where I live in Texas, we get both extreme cold and extreme heat. Last year, my son and I stayed in a state park and it was only 95 degrees. But, the temperature humidity index got up to 122 degrees. Not only did our ac's struggle, but our fridge was also struggling. It can and does easily get into the 100s here, but that humidity index is a killer 😂 Love your channel!
My hubs and I recently camped for a week in Oregon City, CA Lake Mildred. Hottest week of year it seemed. Thank goodness for our generator when the campground shut off the electricity. We had a great time staying cool at the lake or inside the trailer. All 3 dogs survived the heat and went swimming too. Thank you for the video this week.
Can confirm that my previous camper experiences in South Louisiana were warm in the summer months. We could not be inside of the camper during the days. This is all solid advice I will come back to if I ever purchase another camper.
can you explain this one a little better? I looked up the dome door stops and don't understand how they would be used. what I found is like a half dome that mounts on the floor with a rubber pad on one side. is this what she is talking about?
@@johnhowell8228it’s like a speed bump inside the ducting. Flat part inside on the duct roof. Air hits the speed bump and is pushed out the reinstalled vent instead of speeding through the neighborhood running over your kids lol
I'm full-time stationery in Texas, and I keep my roller shades down. Plus, I put up black out curtains, and it really helped . The things to go into the vents helps I've done that, too. I still want to put the Styrofoam up there.
Our MaxAire fans also have a ‘fan only’ mode so you can run them with the vents closed. Almost like having a ceiling fan in our RV bedroom which tends to be warmer than the rest of the coach.
Very good information on cooling techniques to keep your RV cool. I do want to mention 1 more that is so important to cooling the inside. As TPO roofs age they start to discolor and darken creating additional heat transferring that into the RV. Keeping it clean helps, but it will continue to darken. Roof coatings are the answer. This is an easy DYI project. Henry's roof coating was my choice. I installed it on my 2018 reflection 1 year after I bought it. Not only will it lower the temp in your RV it will also seal your roof and extent the life of the roof. Wow, what a great look, easy to clean and a 15 year life before recoating. My RV roof looks better than when it was new. It has remained a bright reflective white color for 6 years now. I highly recommend it.
Putting down rugs to block heat coming up from the hot pavement/concrete slab etc. Just as you would in the winter to prevent cold temps coming inside from beneath.
Just found you guys I really enjoy your dynamics your information all that and I’ve been thinking about as I retire. I’m 72 now I’m getting on the road. I’m gonna listen really intently to all your videos. I’ve subscribed to you. It’s all the things that you show and I’m truly enjoying, the good and the bad of each other videos
Hi there! First off, thank you so much for your support in watching our videos. We appreciate you! We love to hear that you are getting ready to get on the road as well 😃 Stay safe!
I may have messed up your analytics. From watching the first 22 seconds about twenty times. I was not expecting that! That was great fun. You two rock!
We have a class A motorhome with 2 fairly new roof top a/c's. It's not enough if it's over 100, so we purchased a portable a/c that's also a humidifier. We keep the portable up front while parked, near the back of the drivers seat. It's vented out of the drivers side window. Up front is best since the rooftop a/c is located in the rear & the middle. We keep a portable fan running because it will push the cool air from one room to another. Parking under or near trees if we can. We also use the reflector installation roll in our windows, especially the front window. We keep awnings out if not windy. Our Rv is always comfortable...it was 108 yesterday, and a cool 72 degrees inside our Rv.
😂 You guys would be great at stand up comedy!! Love the white sheers NeyNey! They look beautiful. Great tips, we have made some of those changes over the years and what a difference. Love you guys and thanks for all the laughs ❤. I look forward to every video.
Love following you both, you're such an adorable couple... Additional tip we practice (Live in Arizona myself, so a self-proclaimed battler-o-the-heat myself) is we ordered our fifth wheel with slide toppers. The slide toppers also act as an elevated shade buffer to the top of the slides, where let's face it... is a thin barrier to the sun, and creates some shade and space for the air to flow and relieves some of the heat that would ordinarily be beating on the slide roofs.
Great video, loved the intro. I have another tip for ya, keep your storage bay doors closed. By leaving them open that will let in a lot of heat inside your RV. Safe travels!
Loved the intro so much we had to watch it again. We need to see more buckets of water! It’s still DARN HOT! Y’all “you’uns” are very informative. Thanks from the Hinks.
Good info. We use a small fan inside also - helps to keep us cooler. Note your AC doesn't care about humidity. Using a dehumidifier may make you feel cooler, but the AC works off temperature, not humidity content.
Excellent, good info and your exactly right about the fan. We have one on the bedroom dresser that blows into the lower living room/ kitchen. I'm going to look into the inserts for the air conditioner. Seen those before but for some reason just haven't pulled the trigger yet.
also underrated thing is to use the “dry” mode on the newer furrion units even if you’re not in a humid area, it cycles the compressor for longer, less strenuous cycles while pumping a constant flow of dry, cool air into the camper. for us (we’re in AZ) it’s much better than using the regular ac mode. on an 85+ degree day it can easily keep the trailer in the low 70s.
did i miss ya'll mentioning the insulation of your back side of your outside wall cabinets? those cabinet walls get very hot and every time you open your cabinet wall it allows hot air in. i cut foam board for every outside walled cabinet back and its made a ton of difference.
One thing you did not mention is blocking the skylight in the shower, if you have one, when not in use. Tremendous heat reduction!!!! Our bathroom was a hotbox which translates that heat throughout. Game changer!!!!!
A couple of things, our pop up had an AC. It worked great. And two, to maximize the air flow in your fridge vent, put your fans vertically and have the bottom fan pull air into the compartment and have the top one blow air out of the compartment. We did that on our camper and it made all the difference than just blowing air into it.
I live in Mississippi. This video was very helpful. I just got back from a camping trip. Temps in the upper 90s with heat index 105 and up. I'm going to utilize several of your pointers. One thing I was already doing that you mentioned is the reflective inserts for the skylights. Before I bought and used them it was like walking under a heater in the summer. Thanks again for the tips!
I'm on the west coast of Canada and OH the humidity! We get our RV parked (ours is a TrailManor so a bit of physical labour required to set it up) and step out of the A/C tow vehicle and just melt. It's nigh impossible to get anything done. Have plenty of water on hand, is all I can say!
I am a ac technician with 37 years experience. I recommend you have your evaporator coil and blower wheel cleaned. And clean your air filter once a week. I recommend once you have had them cleaned. Exterior shade is number 1!! I work in HVAC design. Prevent the sun from hitting your windows with an awning or exterior shades!!
Absolutely! It's amazing how much shade is so huge for maintaining cooler temps. Thank you for sharing!

I just started caulking inside the cubby because with the door open you could see light from under the bed when looking inside. Next is insulation under there and panels to cover the 1x2's. I have also started sealing all the drain openings and wire openings where they come through the floor under cabinets. You don't need a 2 inch hole to run a 1/2 inch wire through it 🙄
Rv Industry needs changes made. Why should we have to do this stuff after buying it.
I am never in a position to have an RV, but you both have given me a detailed life I would never have. Thank you for sharing your both and fun and laughter. Xx. From Millicent South Australia. Winter here now ❤❤❤❤
RV'ing is fun and you meet a lot of new friends but it's like throw money out the window : )
That's great! It's amazing how much it helps
In my old boating days a friend who’s boat didn’t have ac said he puts baby powder on the sheets and it helps to keep him cool 🍻
We hope that things get back to working for you! Sacramento isn't too far from where I was born and raised 🙂
@@MRHEAT20I still do that. With cornstarch.
Nice! That's cool you have a ceiling fan in your rig...no pun intended 😄
This video was hot in so many ways. But, you guys made it cool! Good stuff. Appreciate the wealth of info. Will be using several of these suggestions.
OMG! That was hilarious when Nene threw that bucket of water at you!! Nice shot Nene!! Love your vids!!
Reflextics on the inside of the cupboards helps too
Agree…any cabinet in our rig that is on an outside wall is lined with reflectix.
Thanks for all the tips. You guys encouraged us to make the leap and get into camping/RV Life. I always look at white trucks and 5th wheels...in hopes of seeing you both.
Loved the bucket of water opener!! 😂
Definitely good tips as an HVAC technician I agree with your opinions ! Having a strategy will make your a/c work better! Also as I am in retirement now I plan to full time Rv in more efficient climate locations!
Thank you, Brian! We appreciate your wonderful support 🙂
Great video we have done all those tips but not the door stop trick in the a/c vent thanks for that one 👍
You two are so good together on camera. Love the splash intro!
I love y'all. I have a small travel trailer and dreams of a class c retirement. But, for now, I live vicariously through y'all. You're so funny, too.
Thank you so much!
Great opening. Communication is the key.
Thank you very much! We appreciate your support 🙂
Attaching a portable awning with suction cups on the side giving shade to the refrigerator and windows works when you don't have built in awnings on that side. Thanks for sharing and reminding us of some very simple solutions to reducing heat in the summer.
Do you have a link or photos of this interesting hint?
This is a great tip! Thank you for taking the time to share. We appreciate your support 😃
I glued some plastic baffles to the register to get more air where I wanted it. Great video!
Amazing tips! I've learned a lot watching yall and all of it is very practical! Thank you for the video😊 Hopefully we will run into you guys one day!
Great tips. I too have had evaporator coil freezing issues, but it didn't matter if I ran the fan on hi or lo. I recommend running the fan on low and auto to maximize dehumidification. If you run the fan on all the time, it puts the humidity back in the air when the AC isn't running.
In cars and house AC this happens your A/C is low on freon????
Stay at home during the summer. That is what we do.
Kyle is looking jacked these days. Look at those guns!
Kyle is CUTE TOO! 😁
he is a lean "heat" fighting machine
Ok now I am blushing 😊 Ya'll are too kind! Thank you
@@HappilyEverHanksyou’re welcome! From: the NASA patch person, haha
🍀🍀🍀🍀 how far you guys have come. One of my favourite channels to learn AND laugh ~ Frank / Amber and the FAMLEE 👏👏👏👏
Can confirm that my previous camper experiences in South Louisiana were warm in the summer months. We could not be inside of the camper during the days. This is all solid advice I will come back to if I ever purchase another camper.
I came upon your videos by accident. Your personalities had me instantly! I just love watching the two of you😊😊❤️
Thanks Hanks! Great video! Nice to review this kind of info and see what we may have missed. Safe travels!
We love both your faces, great information on the a/c system in the Rv. Thanks, Hanks!
We have used the door bumpers since we got our Grand design and it helps tremendously.
can you explain this one a little better? I looked up the dome door stops and don't understand how they would be used. what I found is like a half dome that mounts on the floor with a rubber pad on one side. is this what she is talking about?
I am also wondering how it helps the airflow downward.
I have max air, but the fans are exhaust only. So if the lid is closed nothing is happening.
I love the high ceilings of a Fifth wheel Rv ❤ i like that you guys get excited about the body-to- Rv analogies.
Thanks for sharing tips. We use small fans and keep the cab area blocked in a class C
You two are a hoot. Thank you for the laughs and the wonderful information. Safe travels.
On the slide seal, you can use a sock filled with baby powder and tap some of the powder between the slide and seal to keep the seal from sticking.
If you regularly condition your slide seals, with slide seal conditioner treatment made for them, they stick less too lol. 🍻
@@SpykersB Yes, and then the baby powder won't get gummed up inside the slide.
Always love you guys! Never boring and always great tips! ❤️
Great information ,thank you..
Love the tips.
We actually removed our airflow. Hated it. We like the “dump” capability and it cooled quicker🤷🏼♀️.
2:21 I love the R2D2 effect here 😂
I may have messed up your analytics. From watching the first 22 seconds about twenty times. I was not expecting that! That was great fun. You two rock!
Thanks for the gun show my guy. Looking good. 😜
🥵🌡🪣🌊🌊🌊🤭🤭🤭 Hilarious Hanks! Thanks for the video✌☮
Thank you so much!
I can relate to the hot and humidity living in Mississippi. I appreciate the info. I never thought about a dehumidifier. Yall stay safe
You guys produce such great content & are so entertaining! Dehumidifiers tend to heat the air as well as dehumidify it.
Good info. We use a small fan inside also - helps to keep us cooler. Note your AC doesn't care about humidity. Using a dehumidifier may make you feel cooler, but the AC works off temperature, not humidity content.
Great video, thanks for the tips.
Hope yall stay cool! Thanks Hanks for the great info! Happy Camping and Safe Travels! ❤️❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻😺😺
Excellent, good info and your exactly right about the fan. We have one on the bedroom dresser that blows into the lower living room/ kitchen. I'm going to look into the inserts for the air conditioner. Seen those before but for some reason just haven't pulled the trigger yet.
Lots of Great tips, thanks for sharing!
Love this one, one of your best yet🎉
also underrated thing is to use the “dry” mode on the newer furrion units even if you’re not in a humid area, it cycles the compressor for longer, less strenuous cycles while pumping a constant flow of dry, cool air into the camper. for us (we’re in AZ) it’s much better than using the regular ac mode. on an 85+ degree day it can easily keep the trailer in the low 70s.
So many of these tips work for sticks and bricks too. Great video!
good to see yall are back at it how are yall liking being back to the camping life
Karl at da GunShow..oh ya. Flex it bud~~ you earned it LOL
did i miss ya'll mentioning the insulation of your back side of your outside wall cabinets? those cabinet walls get very hot and every time you open your cabinet wall it allows hot air in. i cut foam board for every outside walled cabinet back and its made a ton of difference.
I would think it would also trap condensation in high humidity?
(Edit: making it not a good idea?)
You didn't miss it. We didn't think about this 😃 We love these comments!!! Thank you for sharing!
@@HappilyEverHanks btw, love this segment. sharing these tips really help. thanks and keep up the great work.
One thing you did not mention is blocking the skylight in the shower, if you have one, when not in use. Tremendous heat reduction!!!! Our bathroom was a hotbox which translates that heat throughout. Game changer!!!!!
They did mention sky lights and showed a skylight they covered.
Great tips, it’s hard to cool down the RV more than 20 degrees. At some point if you can, move to a cooler place.
Thanks for the tips.
Love you guys, we stayed in ky two years ago ,got to 104 ,in side camper was 68 with one ac.
Excellent information, thanks & stay cool haha!
You two are hilarious! 😂 Great video and tips by the way! 👍🏽
Great tip video! MUST share this with my camper-living kids. BTW, great guns!
