Single female RVr. Downsized from 2400sf to a van! Had no problem tossing "stuff". Lived in one room for almost a yr to get used to enclosed space while camping once a month to get used to the van. I am happy happy happy. The stress I had from my stickNbricks house is finally gone. I have zero regrets. It is definitely more affordable than my house was. I absolutely love life again. I don't have to cook constantly, clean constantly and minimal clothing.
Can I get your e mail ? I am getting ready to do this and have no one to ask random questions and could really use just a contact of someone who’s doing it. Or phone number but I didn’t want to sound creepy lol. I’m nervous about how to find places to park and how that works as I’m not a planner. Are there free places ? The ones I’ve seen are expensive.
Great RV and excellent pros and cons. We love our Class A we have been gradually doing longer and longer trips and travel a longer portion of the year. We look forward to being full time but will always have a home base for many reasons . Number one you never know when you will really need it and at some point in life we will and the homes and probably interest will only go up. Always good to buy and be debt free! Great video to share new subscribers and wishing you all the best!
I love the genuinely honest feedback. There are many things people don’t think about until it’s too late. I love RVing, too, but it’s not for the faint of heart, and it’s not cheap, as many think. Safe travels!
This is one of the most honest videos about rving I have seen. We part time RV in a motorhome and I agree with everything they are saying. I also thought it would be inexpensive and very flexible. Ha. Not the case. We have to plan 12 to 18 months in advance which is difficult but we still enjoy it.
Thanks for the feedback! It’s crazy how far in advance we have to plan our trips. Some places we try to book a year in advance and they’re already fully booked up. Makes it difficult for sure!
My husband and I even during Covid had no issues reserving campsites at the last minute. We still don’t have any issues. We use multiple campgrounds and HH. Now, if you’re looking for an upscale, ritzy place, that may be the case but I do not book way out in advance to reserve anything haven’t had any issues in five years. Enjoyed the video.
Ok, this is realistic. Thanks. Most of the ones I look at act like they're just trying to sell something. That mood of talk. This is real, thanks again.
Great video, I agree with a lot of your pro, and cons. We what to travel more, but don’t want to sell our house. Simply because if we get to a point where we can’t rv any more we have a place to go to. Our youngest son will live at home while we are gone, plus he pays the mortgage while we are away! And my wife is still working and can do her job remotely with our star link. I’m retired, so I stay busy cleaning the motorhome or walking the dog, or cooking dinner. But the biggest thing I love about traveling in our motorhome is it’s our home away from home, my bed, my bathroom, my shower, etc. hard to put on price on that , plus the people you meet and the experiences.
1. Have your friend mail your mail, taxes, etc. 2. If you need a doctor often use urgent care (check insurance coverage) ER has Fast Track which is similar to an Urgent Care. 3. Repairs are happening more and more because the RVs are made much cheaper these days. 4. Face time works great for staying in touch. Circle back once a year and invite all close friends and family. Another idea would pick a place every six months and have a join up. 5. Planning and being organized helps a bunch. Larger RVs are harder to find places to stay because they are just too big. Most people try to hold on to more items then they need, it's just stuff. My rule is if you don't use it within 6 months, you don't need it. Separation is needed that when you take the car and go shopping by yourself, take the dogs on a walk. Just because you live in an RV does not mean you have to do everything together all the time. You don't do that when you have a home. Find hobbies to do separate. 6. Question for you, once you have seen all of the US. What is your next plans? Will you use some of those miles to travel, will you buy a home again? I agree either sell the house or rent it out if that works in your plans. Maybe do that for a year to see if you like raving without giving up your home. Thank you for the video. Be safe out there and enjoy the adventures and memories.
Great comments and tips 🙏 To answer your question, we’re thinking in the next few years (once we’ve traveled most the US) shifting into boat life. We love being in the water and think it would be another amazing adventure. Would love to start with the Great Loop then maybe South America. Thank you for sharing your insights and experiences with RV living! It's important to consider all the practical aspects, like managing mail and healthcare. And I completely agree that planning, organization, and finding separate hobbies can greatly enhance the RV lifestyle. As for exploring the US, once you've seen it all, you can still benefit from the convenience and versatility of the Segway Portable PowerStation Cube Series. Its massive capacity, fast recharging, and comprehensive protections make it an excellent choice for powering your devices and appliances on your outdoor adventures. Stay safe and enjoy your RV travels!
Just started following you guys. Have enjoyed the videos so far. We just got a class A traded in a fifth wheel and are weekend warriors now looking forward to the most timing days. Thanks for the videos your Rig is great
We are seriously looking into purchasing our RV you both have motivated us thank you both for being transparent I love your journey and hopefully one day we will see you out in a location continue to be blessed
I live in an RV and I do so full-time. I think many people like the lifestyle but there are challenges. I think for those who want some kind of permanency, there's always the purchase of land or the purchase of some of these places where you can buy lots and as long as you have some kind of a place to reside full-time. If you decide not do any traveling, you still enjoy all the perks associated with the convenience of the lifestyle and it's familiarity because it's your home. I like the idea that in the event that there's catastrophic issues, most people can't move their homes but you can take up and leave.
Thank you for sharing your experience with living in an RV full-time. It's great to hear that you enjoy the lifestyle and have found ways to overcome the challenges. I completely agree that having a backup power solution, like the Segway Portable PowerStation Cube Series, can be incredibly useful for both convenience and peace of mind during your adventures. It's important to have reliable outdoor gear and home backup power products like this to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience.
Great video! We just did one similar, but we have a fifth wheel and don’t have quite as much room as y’all do. Your coach is beautiful! We share the same feelings with the pros and cons. Thanks for sharing. Hope you get things repaired soon and are back on the road!
Found you from MJ & Izzy’s Endless Adventure. Great points. I’ve been full time for over 2 years in a Class C. With a cat! I only boondock/dry camp, so that puts a big twist on it versus you both. I’m looking forward to going back and watching more of your videos.
We full timed for 9 years. They were the best 9 years of my life. We work camped in NY,NC,AR,TX and CA. It all came to a halt about a year ago when the ford motor Triton V10 crapped the bed after only 36k miles. We bought it brand new without a mile on it. Never drove over 70 MPH took good care of what I could. Still didn’t matter I was told at the Itasca factory that being as it was a base model and a beginner RV. The MSRP was closed to 140k. What did I expect.
Just watched MJ & Izzy’s video which brought me to your channel. True statement, you cannot buy time….We are in our early sixties and part time RVers. Full time RVing seems to me is more adventurous, plan for the unplanned kind of scenario. For some it could also be out of financial reason not be able or not want to have a stick & bricks house and an expensive Class A or 5th wheel with all the maintenance, insurance etc. All your top Pros & Cons are spot on. Enjoy being on the road, safe travels!
Thanks for watching! Yep agreed it can be very expensive to maintain both a house and an RV. For us, that was one of the main factors for deciding to go full time. Not sure how long we’ll do it for, but we’re loving the adventure for now 😍
We love RVing but we still have a home too. We just came back from an RV trip and had an engine light come on 50 miles from home. Thankfully we were able to make it home but now my husband has to trouble shoot what might be wrong. If it is something we can't fix it will be a trip to the mechanic and our RV is a 2017 and not under warranty. THIS IS THE PART OF RVING I DON'T LIKE! We have a 45 ft RV too and camping is getting expensive. We just came back from St Augustine, FL and I was lucky to find a campground for $ 60 a night. All of the other campgrounds in the area were over $100 a night. We are members of Good Sam, AAA, and my hubby is retired military so we almost always get 10% off campgrounds which helps. We keep our motorhome at an RV Resort in Florida which has a port and small executive suite.
Glad it’s helpful! When we first got into RVing, we watched other YT videos to learn and get ideas. We want to pay it forward and share our experiences to hopefully inspire others 🥰
Watched my and Izzy and referred to you. Interesting points. We’ve been part timing since the early 90’s and we’ve always had motorhomes . Our latest is two years old and we’ve been retired for a bit over two years now. We stay out a lot longer now but we keep our house with intent to sell and move south and find something with a acre or so of ground so we can have a building put up to keep the coach in. We talked full time but we was leaning on how MJ and Izzy roll. We are in our mid sixties and healthy and had we the availability at your age we would have full timed beyond reasonable doubt. Good video you put out.
Yeah and 5 years ago this lifestyle wouldn’t have been possible for us. But the pandemic changed everything for us. Our jobs were fully office based and then went 100% remote. With new options like Starlink, it enabled us to make the switch and still be able to work from the road. We contemplated buying property somewhere that we can keep the RV and have some additional space. Might be something we do once we decide on a location!
I live full-time in a 40 foot Monaco dynasty and my lifestyle is very expensive per se. I may hit an RV park for a short time once or twice in a year as I have set up my motorhome to dry camp. I am currently in Quartzsite on BLM land with a bunch of friends and I have been here since 5 November and have not started my generator yet because of solar and lithium batteries. About your breakdown, I would’ve thought with a side radiator that you would have a hydraulic motor, driving your fan and not have a clutch on it at all as mine is. I guess designs have changed over the years. As far as breakdowns, they are always going to happen. There’s always going to be something you need to fix especially with our lovely, smooth roads. L O L all of your pluses are right on the mark. I have been following you guys since you were in your super C and as I guessed when you got your class say that you would enjoy it more. Thank you both for the video. Have a blessed and very Merry Christmas.
That’s amazing you’ve been on BLM land for that long! We desperately need lithium batteries in our new coach. We added them in our super C, but our new one didn’t have them unfortunately. Current batteries barely last 18 hours. We have a harder time dry camping mostly due to work. Have to be in close proximity to an airport and other amenities typically. Merry Christmas to you as well 🎄
All summer I was either on BLM land Idaho forest land or Idaho trust land as I spent almost all summer in Idaho. It’s amazing what a little bit of solar and lithium batteries will do. And to your point I was with in an hour and a half Of a major airport all summer. Not sure if that’s close enough for you guys. Have a merry Christmas and stay safe.
Great video! Well done! Also thank you for your feedback when I asked about your American Coach experience. In July we purchased a 45T and love it! Merry Christmas and happy New Year!
Thank you!!! Happy to help share our experiences anytime. Excited to hear you got the 45T. How do you like it so far? We really liked that floor plan as well. American Coach makes a great motorhome! Merry Christmas to you 🎄🎁🥰
Glad it was helpful! It would be an amazing time, but be prepared for the unexpected. I personally wish I had started RVing with my boys when they were young, but I didn’t know anything about it. I’m loving it now with Hillary! ❤️
Thank you so much for this video. My fiance and I are thinking about doing the rv lifestyle but it really is scary knowing all the expenses going to maintenance and travel costs but we are stuck in a home we can’t afford and we don’t want to wait until we’re 60 and 70 to travel the country.
You make a lot of good points about full timing. My wife and I are part timers but lately we are gone more days each year than the previous year. At what point do you cross the line from part time to full timing?
That’s how we were! We decided to make the switch once our house started to feel like a burden and something preventing us from using the RV 😍 We loved our house, but no regrets!
You guys are so adorable 😊 And thank you for deterring me from rv life Lol I have 2 kids. But I guess if I’m staying in one location, that wouldn’t be the same struggles. But the repairing things is an issue no matter what 😬
Not everyone has bad experiences or expensive ones in an RV, and if you plan correctly, as I do, you'll be prepared. It is a lot less expensive than renting or owning a home. Hands down.
Great video, can I ask about the planning side. When do you decide it’s time to move to a new location? You’ve mentioned the weather is a factor. Are you checking off locations on a bucket list?
Good video. Hi Izzy and MJ recommended your channel. I am of the part time side. I have been doing RV travel for a number of years. Let’s just say I am on my third us map. Your comments on travel in your RV made me smile. I have a 45’ Newmar Mountain Air named Rocky. By the way I have neve not been able to find a place to park Rocky. Sorry you are having problems with your RV. I would bet Izzy has mentioned NIRVC for repair/warranty work. Do you have Passport America and Harvest host? What RV groups do you belong to?
Thanks for watching! Our RV is named Carli 😍 We’re usually able to find places to park her as long as we book in advance. National and state parks tend to be the most challenging for our size rig. Luckily we were able to get the RV repaired and get back on the road. We do use Harvest Host and Good Sam members. Thought about joining Passport America but haven’t yet.
Just remember Passport America is more for RV parks to fill space during slow periods with 50%off deals. Still we saved over $500.00 last year using it. Are you members of AIM? @@fuelyourwander
Love your channel. I have a 2020 American Coach. I was wondering who you use for roadside assistance? I am currently with Coachnet, but figured you would know what might be the best.
UGH... 9 hours!!?? Beautiful looking rig though! We are probably not going Full time as in selling the house, but we DO plan to go "Most time" maybe later this year. Good tips!
My wife and I will start our full time journey in the spring of 25. We are leaning towards an American Coach. American Dream 42q in particular. I heard that you have broken down twice. How do you feel about the overall quality of your coach?
That’s so exciting! The 42Q is a great option. We loved that floor plan and nice that it’s slightly shorter than 45 ft rigs. Our issues were related to the Freightliner (FCCC) chassis. There was a part installed incorrectly from the FCCC factory. That caused the first breakdown issue we had. Second was one of the parts that had been replaced the first time just randomly failed. They were both relatively simple fixes, but getting parts can be a challenge. Both American Coach and FCCC stepped up and helped us through everything quickly. Our warranty covered it all 100% thankfully. No upfront costs for us. Other than those issues, we’ve been very happy with the quality and amenities of our coach. Good luck with your search for an RV! Let us know if we can help get you in touch with an expert at AC who can answer any questions you might have! Merry Christmas 🎄
@@fuelyourwander thank you for the reply. We will be headed to the Tampa show in a couple of weeks. I would like to meet with Tom Bennett from General. He seems very knowledgeable about the AC coaches. We are not going to limit ourselves to A/C but one of the features that I really like is the egress door in the back. We are older and I don’t want to have to escape through a window. lol Tiffin makes the 45fp that also has the door and I believe that Newmar also has a couple of floor plans. Thanks for the response and we hope you have a great New Year.
we have a american coach rig as well... funny how we lost the clutch fan at only 52,000 miles... sounds like someone dropped the ball on a reliable part there
Agreed. FCC should eliminate the entire mechanical fan and just go with 4 individual electric fans. Far fewer moving parts and with multiple electric fans, it would have some backup built into the design.
Great content! My only comment is that people who say home is an "investment" are ignorant. What I mean is people never think about the added cost like mortgage interest, HOA, PMI, Property Taxes, etc, etc 2) never think about opportunity cost of home ownership (like putting money in S&P500, for example)
Thank you for sharing your experiences. I like the idea. Very helpful. I'm still concerned about the expense. Your lifestyle appears a bit more expensive then mine and I'd like to think that I can make on less per month. More like 2,000 per month?
We're doing our homework preparing to go full-time. I work remotely, she is retired. Looking at 45' RV's - and expecting the size will come with challenges/limitations. But was surprised to hear you need to book 6-12 months in advance for sites. I'm a planner by nature - so that wouldn't be a deal killer. I was assuming ~3 months. But can you explain why you have found the need to book that far in advance? Merry Christmas - and thanks for sharing your story.
It’s mostly for the places in high demand during peak season. For example, Florida Keys in the winter - be prepared to book a year in advance. Yellowstone in the summer, book the day they open the bookings for the next year or you won’t get a spot. Limited parks and even more limited spaces for a 45 ft rig. But there’s plenty of other places we can book with less planning if they’re not in high demand. Hope that helps! Merry Christmas to you and your family ❤️
So then would it be maybe a better idea to have a truck/ 5th wheel or toyhauler to avoid the breakdown problem? Why did you guys go with a full rig instead?
Thanks for doing the video. Knowing what you know now, would you buy a smaller motorhome? Also, another con that we discovered owning a 45 foot motorhome is how often we have to pass roadside attractions because there is no place to park 65 feet of motorhome and tow vehicle.
Great question! Agree with you that it’s hard to stop off at places because of parking and finding the places we can stay is more difficult. Because we’re working from the road and living in it full time, still think we’d go with a 45ft motorhome because of the space and amenities. If we were part time, would likely do 35 ft or under to make it easier for travel 😀
Try living in a B Van if you think a Class A is small!!! We live in our home in Orlando, but travel in a Class B. We used to have a small Class C. I must say, we are fans of the Class B as we can get up and GO fast. Plus, 18 miles per gallon and can park it anywhere. It’s so much easier than a Class A or Class C. Try a B van sometime. It’s better than you think. We are enjoying your videos. New subscribers.

We use a combination of starlink, t-mobile and ATT. We can always count on starlink no matter where we are, but T-mobile is just as fast (and cheaper) when we are in cell range.
Finding a doctor. Finding a toilet dump site. Finding a camp site. Finding repair shop. Making repairs. Getting rid of humidity. Finding a laundry service. Looking for a gas station. Being broke down in the middle of nowhere. Finding lost mail. High priced camp sites. Cramped space on rainy days. Crowded highways. Boring and crowded campgrounds. High fuel costs. $250,000 debt for motor home. Constantly hooking and unhooking motorhome to water, sewage, and electricity. Leveling camper at every stop. By living at home, I have freedom from doing any of these things.

Very well said, it's like loving each other so that anything can be handled and move forward
💯❤️
Thank you for the information. We have been thinking of doing it so this was very helpful. Merry Christmas and happy New. 🎉
Glad it’s helpful! When we first got into RVing, we watched other YT videos to learn and get ideas. We want to pay it forward and share our experiences to hopefully inspire others 🥰
this was excellent. Glad I found your channel. Thanks for the fantastic info.
Thank you!!!
I just love the couples choreography making these videos like they don't want to make money off of RUclips😂😂😂
Thanks for watching. It does take a lot of effort to make these videos. Nothing is choreographed, but they are edited and cleaned up.
Buzz off Troll.
Happy New Year hope you both start vlogging the experience too ❤🙏🏾
Happy new year!!😀
Love your Rig! Some Nomads own a lot or land with neighbors nearby and visit a month or 2 a few times in the year.
Sounds great!👍
Watched my and Izzy and referred to you.
I live in a pull behind 36ft camper love it except fixing what ever lol
Merry Christmas to you 🎄🎁🥰
Thank you for the insight, I am trying to decide on a class A for a Disney World trip from Oregon and back with daughter and grand daughter.
Glad it was helpful! It would be an amazing time, but be prepared for the unexpected. I personally wish I had started RVing with my boys when they were young, but I didn’t know anything about it. I’m loving it now with Hillary! ❤️
And Disney World has the best RV park - Fort Wilderness. 👍
Very informative, thank you for sharing.
Thank you so much for this video. My fiance and I are thinking about doing the rv lifestyle but it really is scary knowing all the expenses going to maintenance and travel costs but we are stuck in a home we can’t afford and we don’t want to wait until we’re 60 and 70 to travel the country.
You definitely need a pre DEF Newell. Service and repair unprecedented
Another great honest video guys! Thanks!
Thank you for watching! ❤️
It’s amazing how many new RV breakdown stories I hear
It’s very frustrating to say the least! Unfortunately so much is human error and poor quality management
You guys are so adorable 😊
And thank you for deterring me from rv life Lol I have 2 kids. But I guess if I’m staying in one location, that wouldn’t be the same struggles. But the repairing things is an issue no matter what 😬
Me and my boyfriend are planning to live in an RV to save money, and to be honest, this video helps LOTS!
Save money???......🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Not everyone has bad experiences or expensive ones in an RV, and if you plan correctly, as I do, you'll be prepared. It is a lot less expensive than renting or owning a home. Hands down.
Good info. Thank you. Happy Holidays.
Meltdown avoidance techniques; whats best method to avoid "meltdown" ?
Good video, I think a lot of your issues are the size of the RV costs getting camping etc .
Great video, can I ask about the planning side.
When do you decide it’s time to move to a new location? You’ve mentioned the weather is a factor. Are you checking off locations on a bucket list?
Excellent video, guys!
Thanks so much!
Wonderful you can experience the depreciation and sleep well, saluto.
We knew about the depreciation when we purchased the vehicle. It is to be expected on any RV.
There's a reason after 9 various RV's I've settled on vintage Bluebird Wanderlodges, no depreciation, just mechanical night mares.@@fuelyourwander

Motels are disgusting. They wash the sheets, but not the blanket. Thanks, but in my RV I sleep in my own bed.
We agree!! 👍❤️
Great video guys! Stay safe
Thank you!!
Hope y'all make it to California... this is a beautiful state
We will be in CA in about 10 days. Looking forward to it❤️
Happy Holidays!
Safe travels
🎅🎄🎅🎄🎅
Thank you, you as well 🎁🎄🎁🎄
Love your channel.
Good tips!
Have fun!😀
More videos on the road,, the adventure cross country views
Great stuff! Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it!
💯💯👍👍. Thank you!
Great full-time RV review.!
Thank you!!! 🙏❤️
Thank you for sharing your experiences. I like the idea. Very helpful. I'm still concerned about the expense. Your lifestyle appears a bit more expensive then mine and I'd like to think that I can make on less per month. More like 2,000 per month?
I love this video! One thing I wanted to ask tho is, do you both still work on the road remotely to afford this great lifestyle?
Thank you! Yes, we both still work.
First..thank you for your utube
Thank you for watching 🥰
Hi there!
I enjoyed the tips!
Had ya’ll considered renting out ur house?
Thoughts on doing so?
Thanks guys!! Merry Christmas from AZ!! Safe Travels
Thank you!!! Same to you 🎄🎁
So then would it be maybe a better idea to have a truck/ 5th wheel or toyhauler to avoid the breakdown problem? Why did you guys go with a full rig instead?
Cone to Myrtle Beach you guys
Merry Christmas
👍🏼👍🏻
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Thanks for doing the video. Knowing what you know now, would you buy a smaller motorhome? Also, another con that we discovered owning a 45 foot motorhome is how often we have to pass roadside attractions because there is no place to park 65 feet of motorhome and tow vehicle.
TOAD
Great question! Agree with you that it’s hard to stop off at places because of parking and finding the places we can stay is more difficult. Because we’re working from the road and living in it full time, still think we’d go with a 45ft motorhome because of the space and amenities. If we were part time, would likely do 35 ft or under to make it easier for travel 😀
Great video, thanks.
Thanks for watching and the feedback 🙌😍❤️
Hello! My husband and I are about to take on this adventure. He is retired but i work remote. Do you find alot of places are internet friendly?
I follow you guys on Tik Tok, so now that I follow you all on You Tube I will be needing more content. lol
You got it! Thank you for following us!
New subscribers.
well chis and im mainly talkin too you.

the world has changed so very much from what it use to be
my advice,
never buy a house again

see ya on the other side.
How much does your RV cost and how do you make a living?
I love that map.
Having Indian food along a road side waiting for a $1,400 dollar tow to a repair shop… sounds like fun 😂😂
Amazing ...
Thank you! Cheers!
You should put solar on you lot
You need to swap the engine with the HINO engine or other Japan engine
Sounds like a lot of work. 😀
What do you guys use for reliable internet around remote areas?
We use a combination of starlink, t-mobile and ATT. We can always count on starlink no matter where we are, but T-mobile is just as fast (and cheaper) when we are in cell range.
Are you packing a new fan-clutch with you now?
Welch Rapids
what do you do for work im trying to live in my rv full time but i dont know how the work thing works
Does warranty cover your break down
Yes. We have a 2 year warranty.
Geat couple.
Did you have a warranty ?
I read the average time rv are in repair is 41 days.
I believe that is a true statement. However, since the average person only use an RV for 25 days per year, it really doesn’t matter. 😀
well that made up my mind.... No RV's. !
How much is a rig like yours
How do you afford this lifestyle. Did you win the lottery 🤔
Nope, but we did win $150 at the roulette tables last week. 😀
The obvious question is, do either of you work? How do you manage your costs? Even I could detail many of the costs.
We both work full time. The costs are similar, but less than, the costs of a typical home.
How much is that RV ?
I cant argue with that logic - yet, I would argue we have lots of freedom.
@@fuelyourwander Stay safe on the road.
Do you need a CDL to drive the one you have?
No CDL, but you are required to have a non commercial class B license.
@@fuelyourwander thanks a lot!!
Fadel Knoll
Al parecer están madurando juntos y ya quieren asentarse
What jobs do yall have?
We both work full time remote jobs.
