Thank you guys. Il had the same problem whith my pro line trencher on my summit. I was disapointed because those tyres are really good. Thanks from france.
Great video! This was perfect for me. I have those same Trenchers on my Traxxas Summit (same splined hex’s) and also had one wheel hub strip out like yours. The tire is still in great condition. I’ll have to try this now and seeing how it worked for yours, it’s should work for mine. Big help. 👍🏻
Pretty good effort. My thought. Instead of grease just try two layers of thin plastic wrap over the existing hub. Should work out the same. Hard to watch. BUT wildly insightful. PS likely stronger than original wheel.
I can see using an extra hub nut or an insert instead of smashing epoxy all over the hub. Even with the grease, I hate removing JB weld from anything. You will have to grind the extra off. I have that same body on my E- Revo, its my basher body. I kept the original for the shelf because it matches the 1/16 E- Revo that I have. I have seen several video's on this method. I think using hot wax is a better idea. The Traxxas ESC's fry really easy. I am replacing both the motor and ESC with aftermarket.

Bin doing that for years but don't use grease just use aluminum foil
Couldn't you just jb weld the hex piece right inside the wheel and just swap out the whole thing when you want.
possibly!
