That man handled those tires like a boss. Jesus, he deserves a big tip for his efforts. I'm impressed. Bring it to Walmart or Sam's for the same service. A less prepared mechanic would definitely struggle with that.
I work in a ASE certified shop. When the tire is stuck and you’re trying to hit it off with a hammer, put a lug nut on the stud so the tire doesn’t fully fall off and damage the rim.
My grandfather used to use old paint as tire sealant. Works like fix a flat or tire slim. The paint gets forced into the leak and hardens. One time he had a garage install new tires and when the used the tire machine paint came out. The guy wasn't happy about the paint but the trick works.
True I wish it would’ve be harder but he had all the right tools to do it will do the oil drain plug soon and whatever else that is suggested that I can do
Drill the holes so the wheel studs will spin. Hold the back to tighten them and mess up the threads and use your normal red lock tight then grind down the head of the stud so it doesn’t have a shoulder to grab with anything. Also switch out half the studs on each wheel with the old style left hand threads then grind off any exposed threads so he can’t tell what direction loosened them. I think that will slow him down. Lol. As for the oil change I had the same idea of welding the inside of the drain plug as someone already posted. I’ve seen those left handed thread studs create some problems if they are mixed on every wheel with the normal right hand threads. Good luck. Love the channel, keep up the great work.
The way this guy is doing everything 🤔 Why just 1 floor jack, no jack stands. Why a prybar on the hubcap cover, and why a sledgehammer to the tire (sounded like it hit the rim too) This is a true sledgehammer mechanic
I work at discount trie and if it won’t come off the hub we have a rubber sledgehammer that we use. We don’t even have jack stands in the building and we lift cars and trucks all day
lol that snap on pry bar set is what i use at an alignment shop in west texas, we use sledge hammers on tires all the time. this is all normal tire tech shit, no one uses fucking jack stands unless it’s gonna be out of commission for a while this is a quick rotate not even a balance
@@kylesteele9395 Hence why they call it "Discount Tire" I worked at OSHA for a year and that setup definitely wouldn't fly (not trying to be that OSHA guy but its just common sense) We had a couple car related fatalities due to not using jack stands while doing tire work. And yes I also worked at shops for years. Its so easy for a car to slip off a jack stand or lose balance. Just makes me feel better knowing yall are safe, would hate for a fellow car guy to get hurt over something like that. Respect 🤜🤛
Thank you and yeah out of no where they all came tomorrow a video of testing race mode out on a Car comes out it shouldn’t disappoint and thank your for subscribing
Jb weld the drain plug and jb weld the lugs and then do small welds to the wheel to the hub. Then come back with a noise complaint after he does the oil change😂
This is rookie stuff. Get some of the ford chrome capped lug nuts. Up here in the north east when a little moisture gets in there they rust and the caps separate from the lug nut. The beauty being that the lug nut, after the cap being removed, isn’t quite an 18 or a 19. Remove chrome caps, round off nuts, plug weld lugs to studs and put the cap back on. Bonus points for rounding them off before you put the chrome caps back on.
Didn't expect him to have the correct torque wrench attachment already on it I knew what he was gonna do my brother is a mechanic I know all those tricks I still didn't expect him to get the wheel off at all actually
Mathan Schoknecht oh ok because I was going to use that on my wheel because it’s rusted on but I’ve heard people say that it can damage it and to use a mallet instead
@@tonyborja7883 that is because it can is the tire flat because if it is don't do it if not did you notice he only slaps the tires rubber with it don't full on swing either just do bout a Lil half ass slap with one on the rubber and it will come lose like in the video
No he did it right the only time you cross rear to front is if vehicle is front wheel drive a awd / rwd drive front cross to the back rear comes straight up
Jb weld the oil drain plug in and take it in for a oil change and jb weld the dip stick and oil cap in and you HAVE to either red locktite the oil filter on or I would love to see the oil filter jb welded on
I had to watch this 'cause I bought a car about 10 years ago and some idiot had used Loctite on the lug nuts. I went through two tire irons, three sockets, and a breaker bar tryin' to get the damn thing off.
I'd scrape the shit out if the front of the rotor and the back of the wheel with really low grit, then apply JB Weld. Go to the hardware store and find a nut with less threads and use it as a lug nut after applying red loctite. Put the wheel on, and apply acid twice a day for a week so everything rusts together.
I should have but I did sand the hubs and cleaned the lugs but didn’t lest set but like 2 days the rust idea is pretty good that would hold it better than loctite
It’s all about surface prep. If you would have cleaned the lugs and studs with a wire wheel and brake clean then dried them with compressed air the locktite would have worked. Same with the jb weld
@@BigBlockinn snap on makes damn good products. I've got plenty of them. But I only buy stuff that tedious and really breaks often. So no matter what I get my warranty replacement each time. Like t30 for chevys caliper bracket. Break them once a month lol

Hmmm possibly super glue in the threads Lolol
Try JB weld on the threads It looked to do the best job held the wheel on tight and on the back of the lug nuts
Damn those impacts are strong
That’s what I thought he did it in no time I was like crap I spent a whole day on it
It's due to a special type of attachment on the torque wrench that allows them to grab even the most bear completely rounded nuts

I work in a ASE certified shop. When the tire is stuck and you’re trying to hit it off with a hammer, put a lug nut on the stud so the tire doesn’t fully fall off and damage the rim.
