Thanks for making this video! Simple explanations yet very informative. I just took my 2011 F-150 to get tires rotated and they mentioned the front tires were cupping, and you can see it like mountains and starting to make noise. They recommended me to check the shocks checked. After watching this video, I am confident that’s what’s it’s going to be 👍🏻

I learned a lot from this video
Recently I had been going through a problem with the company that had bought four new tires. The tires all have the same name brand on them.
But I didn't have enough money left to buy the warranty for them. Being new I didn't think that there would be a problem with them.
Putting my trust in the company and product. After about 17 months, I noticed a little wobble coming from the rear of the car..But it wouldn't happen all the time. So I kinda brushed it aside. And then the tpms that is built into the car showed me that the air pressure was low and I should have it checked. Now this is about 2 weeks after I had noticed the problem. But still less than 18 months since I purchased the tires. I took it back to the company to check on the tire. They took 3 hours to tell me that I didn't have any warranty on the tires and it looks like I have ran over a rock. Which caused the damage.
They never even took the time to take the tire off.
But made like the car wasn't in good condition. Like pointing out air filters that were dirty and wipers in poor condition. Remember now,I just wanted them to check the one tire.
Long story cut short, I did a little research on how to find out the age of the tires. Out of 4 tires bought in 2023. 2 of the 4 were exactly alike, 1 was 6 months older than those. But the one with the problem, was early 2021 model...now it is the latter part of 2024.
The tires only have gone 17,000 miles and 18 months. The one thing I have found is that there are stress cracks that go around the entire tire and a bubble. I am not a expert, but would a rock really do that much damage to a tire 😊?
Also noticed that I see metal wires poking outside of the tire. I don't know what to do because, I think that this tire might have been a defective product. Any idea on how I should go about settling this problem with the company.
Cause I paid almost 200 dollars for each of these items. And didn't even get half of the lifetime expectancy or the minimum miles yet. And they want me to buy another one. ANY THOUGHTS WOULD-BE GREATLY APPRECIATED
    THANK YOU

Thanks for this! I think my tires may be slightly under inflated because there is sone extra wear on the outside. I also think my shocks or springs are needing replacement because the car bounces around a bit whenever I go over rough roads. The question that I have not found the answer to is this: do front or rear tires wear faster on a FWD vehicle? I have a Lexus RX330. I rotate the tires every 5000 miles with the oil change. My front tires are at about 7/32 and my rear tires are at 5/32.

I liked your video and it was very informative. However,I still have a question in mind.If my car was aligned 2 yrs ago and tires were at 35psi pressure then.what happened if I changed the tires after 2yrs and set the pressure to 40 psi,and I noticed that the label on the side door specify that a pressure of 33psi is recommended.what kind of wear do I expect?I have been hitting a lot of potholes on highway recently and noticed that my front tires are only losing tread on the inside only the part that is close to the engine.I thought about adjusting this negative camber but somebody told me that a toed-in wheel can also cause this kind of tread wear. What I did was to deflate all tires to 35psi and i am watching to see if this will remedy the situation.but the tread on one side are almost gone now and it hasnt been 3 months yet.so what is ur opinion about the cause

    • @AlexTheCarDoctor

I will have someone check out the front end for play you most likely have a worn suspension component that the alignment shop missed or worn out after they did the alignment.tire pressure in that small increments will not affect anything from my experience

I'm considering buying a car that has been in an accident but has been repaired, and the nearside tyre has excessive wear. Possibly either of these 5, if the vehicle does have a bent chassis or frame, or if the vehicle has damaged or bent suspension components is it expensive to repair? The car is great spec great mileage great price.

My front left tyre worn out from outside completely even after wheel alignment, and two tyres were damaged over a period of time. So just days back i purchased two new tyres and did wheel alignment but my left front tyre is showing signs of wearing out from outside again. What could be the possible reason? Thank you.

    • @AlexTheCarDoctor
      @AlexTheCarDoctor  2 года назад

Hey there someone is not doing the proper checks on your suspension. something is worn out that the alignment shop is missing, I see this all the time they will just do the alignment and line up a car with loose suspension components once the car goes down the road it throws back out of alignment due to loose components or damaged compartments.I have a video coming out soon showing how to check suspension components,I may have an old video showing but I can’t remember
