I have a deapsea and people keep telling me it’s fake because it has no magnification bubble, I’m like wowwwww.
If it says "deapsea" on the dial then its def fake...
Not necessarily. The Rolex Deep Sea D-Blue says "DeepSea". As well, the all-black dial says DeepSea at the 12 o'clock position. The Sea Dweller version does not have DeepSea on the dial.
Any Submariner that doesn’t have the bubble on it is fake. This is the Internet, so what I’m telling you is true.
Birger Boberg limited edition bro. Fetches a hefty premium
I sold my 116610LN Submariner to buy a Sea-Dweller 126600. I loved my Sub (owned it for 7+ years) but I’m happy I did this.
Hi David, im struggling to make the same decision... one year on, any regrets ?
@@pauldavies1375 None. And if I kept my 116610LN, I would have regretted not doing this even more...in light of the new 41mm Sub.
I did exactly the same thing, it took me 12 months to get hold of the SD43 at retail and at 1 point I'd thought I'd messed up. Happy I made the decision 100%
43 best sons of all diver watches from Rolex in my view . It’s a watch that just works all dimensions and on top comfy
The dial of the SD43 is vintage black instead of gloss black and it is larger. The fact that it is larger is also the reason that a cyclops has been placed. Because the caliber is a bit too small for the dial, the date window is too far to the center. Rolex has cleverly solved this by placing a cyclops so that this is not noticeable.
People have their priorities mixed up. The Deepsea is a heck of a lot more watch for a tad more money. Red letters--big deal. Look at the construction, the Deepsea wears beautifully on any wrist over 7 inches. More robust case, thicker glass--more watch. Great review man loved the comparison side by side. Deepsea wins.
I've had all three of them. The 16600, which seemed too small for my 8 inch wrists and the deepsea which was really cluncky and i hated the out of proportion bracelet. I just now got the 43 and it is the best of two worlds. The Cyclops would not have been my choice, but I might get to like it.
had$been!
Thank you for the video. I just got the deep sea dweller and underneath the clasp it was not sand blasted but polished and I was worried that it was a replica but cleared that up for me that they stopped that in 2016. Thank you.
The SD43 is truely a great watch but i cant get behind the cyclops as it makes me feel like it is an old mans watch. The diving equivalent of a Datejust. I would go for the deepsea as it a proper mans man tool watch and has the technology and specs to back it up.
Excellent review, the best I've seen on these two watches. Good job.
That DEEPSEA is a true sea monster. I thought the new SeaDweller was big. I have a 2002 SeaDweller and it's a chunk in itself; it ain't no dress watch in the classic sense. I do love this line of Rolex, vintage, classic, current and all models in general in the SeaDweller/DeepSea line. I like them because though the lineage is Submariner they represent maybe ten percent of the Sub/SeaDweller population.
Thanks very much mate for good stuff. I had been waiting for this comparison for months. Although primarily I wanted to see comparison of D-blue and the new SD43 but this served my purpose. Just one info if you can please provide. What is the lug to lug length of both? I know DSSD is 1mm bigger but how bigger is it in lug to lug dimension compared to SD43? Not 100% but I think DSSD is 51mm at lug to lug but I'm not sure how big is SD43?
Thanks again for good work.
Also the circular hour markers look bigger on the DSSD but I think that's because of the magnification from the 5mm thick crystal on DSSD.
There is a 17 min detailed review of the 50th anniversary that measures deep sea, sea dweller 50th and the submariner. I think the lug to lug is almost 4mm bigger. 50mm for the 50th anniversary sea dweller. 54mm for the deep sea.

The SD43 looks beautiful and just about nice
which is better investment?
Both
Das ist die alte Deepsea ! Die neue 126660 trägt sich besser !
I realy like 126600 It is a technological evolution
Nice review
Good contents. I just wished your enunciation is clearer.
Deepsea for me
My Deepsea is beautiful
@@derhampaul2182 what model deepsea you have dude black ou jc
Deepsea has flip lock as well!
Yes
Hands down the Deepsea my watch
Deepsea always, big guy big watch...always go Rolex sport model, you cannot lose
All other watches dont hold a candle.
Decompression sir.
Great designs and build quality, they are great! but.. they are too big and the new Sea-Dweller has the Submariner cyclops which doesn't look right.. the older 40mm Sea Dweller 116600 is much better.
Just came back from my AD
As a regular he showed me the Deep sea, the Sea Dweller and a submariner.
The weight and thickness of the first two will definitely convince any truck driver / construction / gym worker or porn actor to buy one.
So stick to the classic submariner bubble less version and forget the show off....
The submariner you bought is for little.asian pussys, for kiddis, the other for real men...
The submariner is a child's toy compared to these two watches
It's a beautiful watch
