Bela may not have had the career that he dreamed of, but he was truly loved by his fans. He certainly felt that love and respect in his public appearances. I'm not sure anyone could ask for more than that.
❤ Thanks for shared The Bela Tragedy Story a forgotten Actor of True Hollywood Storys. With Compliments from Switzerland 🇨🇭👍♥️💯 AlwaysTCB Love and Peace 🌈 Count Jogibär 😎🐻
Loved it! But I what was up Dan with the unbuttoning of the shirt in the opening moments?!? I kept waiting for something to happen because of the unbuttoning of the shirt, but there was no reveal! haha
Lol that was because I got up from the chair while wearing the blazer in the previous shot and then had no blazer in that shot, so I unbuttoned my shirt to give it some continuity lol
Surprised you didn’t mention how the studio treated Bela on Son of Frankenstein, only paying him £500 a week, the director was shocked and kept Bela on set for the whole shoot so Bela got paid for the whole 8 weeks shooting time
You are aware that Karloff was an Anglo-Indian, right? Of course not! Because you were totally fine not doing any research into Karloff’s Mr. Wong (who was a detective) series, with the character later being played by Keye Luke! There is no excuse for contempt prior to investigation!
Yesterday when I was watching this, I was wondering what it was that I found so attractive about Bela Lugosi, that made me feel so attached to him. I guess on the whole I feel a lot of admiration for the way he kept going even though things were not favorable for him, and no matter how much the situation fell and fell, He remained upright and professional. I started this journey with Bela since I saw Dracula in December of last year, and although I only saw it once, now Bela Lugosi is my favorite hyperfixation 🫂
For me for some reason, Bela (at least in his older years) reminds me of my grandpa. He always turned in a solid performance, even if he was shafted in terms of role quality!
@@Rewiretube He was a really impressive and professional actor, And an interesting and complex person. This is the fifth documentary I have seen about Bela in a week, and it is very good to know that channels like this put a lot of heart into talking about him. 🫂
I cannot understand why this channel isn’t bigger than it is. This is a brilliant video.
Thanks so much!
absolutely have to agree.
i cant wait to be the most insufferable person at the party who only talks about bela lugosi thanks to this video

Oh dear and here's me thinking I'm the only b movie vampire Bela Lugosi nerd lol😂😅❤
Great job! Haven't seen anything on Bella in a while until this. There are about 7 of length but none since Dark Corners.

Blood meridian, Bonzo, and Bela??! Y’all have earned a fan gentlemen
You should check out the Bela Lugosi room at the Black Monarch Hotel in Victor, CO
Also, check out the original Dracula with a score by Philip Glass. Somehow it is even more creepy
Son of Frankenstein came out in 1939
