How much water does the holding tank hold and how long does it take to fill? Also, my system is fairly noisy (hissing sound), is this normal?
The tank has a 1.8 gallon (7 Liter) capacity.
The filtration rate is 180ml/6 ounces per minute, which is the same as the AquaTru countertop model.
It shouldn't make a hissing sound. Be sure that it is installed correctly.

Can you please make a video on how to properly clean/sanitize the holding tank
Until there is a video...
It;s just a few steps. Instructions for this can be found on page 15 of the manual.

How much time does it take to install? For a person who has some maintenance experience.
We don't have information about the average time it takes, but here is a video of the installation procedure that should give you an idea of what is involved: ruclips.net/video/IpnqjuETicw/видео.html
Can I change this faucet to be regular sink faucet because I need to hook up with my Kragen water filter one more time from the sink faucet?
The AquaqTru Under Sink model is designed to deliver the purified water through the RO faucet, so, unfortunately, this is not possible.
Is there an indicator for filter replacement? I have the countertop model and I love it.

The under sink model doesn’t have the electronics to keep track of the filter usage intervals. This is one of the reasons that it is a bit less expensive than the countertop models. We recommend that you write on each filter, with a Sharpie pen, the date you installed it, to keep track of the filter life. You can also use a calendar reminder.
You should replace the pre-filter after 6 months.
The VOC filter after 12 months.
The RO filter after 2 years.
I want to purchase and then add a different faucet to match my oiled bronze fixtures. Does this require a faucet with an air gap?
Hi Leah,
The under the sink model can be used with or without an air gap faucet.
Thank you!
@@LVHoy You're welcome. :-)
So how does water get from the holding tank to faucet? Does it use the same hose as the original unfiltered water? So going backwards D to C and then E to F? Just wondering if that’s so are you able to get clean drinking water while it’s also filtering to fill up the holding tank?

What minimum width of storage under counter required to get it installed?
There needs to be enough room to contain these components...
Manifold Dimensions: 4” x 11.5” x 13” (D x W x H)
Tank Dimensions: 14” x 10” (H x D)
Will water come out the spigot right away?
When first setting it up, water will be filtered, and the tank will fill up before you can dispense water. :-)

What's the gpm output, please, and how much water does it discard per filtered gallon?
The Under Sink model wastes about 3 to 4 gallons for every gallon purified. The AquaTru Countertop models only waste about 25%.
@@AquaTruWater I guess - now that I've been educated by your reply and having done a bit of Googling - that this is common. To be fair, looking at it from a "uses water" versus "wastes water perspective is likely the more accurate way to look at it (just like one wouldn't say, "My dishwasher wastes x gallons of water per cycle"). Thanks for the response.

My holding tank valve is leaking.
I have the blue horseshoe ring on.
I cut the plastic line using a razor blade trying to achieve a flat cut.
Where did I go wrong?
How do I fix this?
I need it to stop.
This is the only leak.
Furthermore, I only see water coming out of the drain line but not the water faucet line.

@@AquaTruWater I figured out the leak and haven’t taken back the comment-I had to stick the 1/4” line further into the recess-My tank osmosis would not fill to full.
I ran it for over 3hrs. probably 5 on the timer.
The faucet water line… had x3 as little water pressure than the drain line the whole 5hrs.
Lastly, a rotten egg after taste from the faucet water line
i tried some on the 4th hr. I think that aftertaste is gone now
I have the under the sink ph+ mineral boost model from AquaTru
What’s going to happen?
@@HotHeadCringe We're sorry you are having this issue with the pH filter.
While many of our customers love the taste of our alkaline mineral water, some people perceive tastes differently and pick up on a taste that they don’t love. Some people are even genetically dispositioned to have a gene that makes them more prone to detect a Sulphur-like taste in the alkaline water. This is similar to how some people love the taste of cilantro, while others detect a soapy taste they find unappealing.
The taste in our filter that people have detected will diminish over time as you filter more water. However, if this is not acceptable to you, we recommend switching to our classic VOC filter and use our Perfect Mineral drops to add minerals back into your water. It will not create alkaline water, but it will give you the healthy trace minerals to re-mineralize your water.
We are happy to refund you the cost of the Alkaline VOC filter and replace it with a classic VOC filter free of cost to make this right.

Can you pay from professional installation?
If you don’t have experience with this kind of installation, you will need to hire a technician in your area to install it.
We don't have particular technicians to recommend. You will be able to find some in your area and the link to the installation video will be helpful for them.

Can I get in oiled bronze?
If you mean, the color of the RO faucet...
The Under Sink model is designed to use a separate Reverse Osmosis faucet, but you can use your own RO faucet. You can find several options on Amazon.
Here is a link to several different options…

How do I know when tank is filled?
Allow 2 hours for the tank to fill. When the tank is filled, the RO system will shut off automatically.
Can I put the holding tank on its side?
No. It was not designed to work that way.
Is there a renters friendly workaround for the faucet? My sink doesn't have a hole to install the head and I don't want to drill one as a tenant. Is there another way this could be done?
Jmm. Ask the owner, im sure they would love you for buying this system! :)
@@trustlivelikeit good point, thanks! And I'd definitely love a workaround too just in case!

Can this be connected to an ice maker with an RO T Splitter? (Not to fridge water outlet, just to ice maker)
(My last comment got hidden by RUclips because of Amazon link to T Connector)
You may be able to do it, but this is not the way it was designed to work, so it is not something we recommend.
What size hole do I need to drill in my granite to accommodate this model?
You will need a 13/16” drill bit and drill that is appropriate for drilling through the countertop material.
You can find information about this on page 9 of the installation manual.
@@AquaTruWater I am having a really hard time finding a diamond tipped hole drill in this size. Do you know of any on the market that I could use?
@@jasonthornton6235same - any luck?
can this be installed for refrigerator water line?
No, it cannot.
Installed this and it has drastically reduced water pressure (more than half I'd say) of my regular faucet's cold water. Disconnected everything, checked for blockages, blew air through, reattached my original hose without this connected, and my pressure was fine again.
Connected it back up, thinking it needed to fill the tank before the pressure would return, but it hasn't. Is there a solution to this? Or am I just stuck with almost no water pressure for cold water on my normal faucet right next to this AquaTru?
