I dunno about heavily since its mostlyca few touches. Overall the style and composition does seem to follow this artist antonio lopez. Also Jolene cujo is based on raver culture fashion from the 90s and early 2000s in europe.
nice researches ! That's what I like about Araki's style, the elegance, baroque esthetic of the characters and their poses is unique and very appreciable
You mean antonio lopez. Some of of arakis are literal clones to existing art pieces. Imcjust finding out and a bit dissapointed in araki. He never even mention this artist and you can see many are clones with new clothes and tweaks.
@@quattro4468 growing up is realising almost every artist is a “clone” my brother even Antonio Lopez. They don’t just share their influences 🤷🏾♂️. I guess that’s how you become “original” gotta secure the bag somehow 🤷🏾♂️.
Majority of the jojos fashion is actually inspired by Prince and that’s from Karz, Josuke and even to Pucci and other etc. Well Prince is Araki’s favourite musician

Glad you liked it. Unfortunately not every author is as prolific as Araki so it is hard to find resources for this sort of thing all the time but if I do find something of this sort for a future video I will include the information.
I am doing a project for school on fashion in jojo’s and this video is very helpful

It is just that Araki Hirohiko has fashion sense. He is a *real FASHIONISTA*
The sailor inspo for the last jojo is probably from jp gaultier
This is a great video dude. I've always loved the fashion in jojo and it's nice to learn what influenced it. :)
It's crazy to me how one of my favorite anime from one of my favorite japanese authors is influenced by a puertorican artist 🇵🇷❤
Hell yeah! I'm glad I was able to help you find the connection.
FABULOUSSSSS
Nooo, the site you linked is no longer working 😭
You're right, I'll try to add some other links later.
@@Areveny maybe way back machine will work :) I haven't tried that though yet
The crime is Araki has never brought him up. Maybe because hes puerto rican american?
It has nothing to do with race, Araki always takes stuff an just never mentions it
Jolyne and Trish una's fashion style is inspired by alternative fashion, also diavolo and abbacchio have clear goth vibes
Risotto too is clearly inspired heavily by the goth fashion

Trish clothes are ispired by a girl on a cover of prince “ Presley park “
Also Josukes hairstyle and fit is taken from Prince
His hairstyle comes partially from the young delinquent scene in Japan back in the day, same with his outfit.
@@Jsssddfgffghshdhdhusjsjd Being honest, the texture on Josuke and Okuyaso's hair remind me of the Archie comics.

@@wukong7656 true its a bit dissapointing realizing this tbh. Like they say "never meet your heroes" same goes for learning too much about them
Ay I liked the video. The information was certainly helpful. Earned a Sub!

Wired: Jojo is an everything reference
This kinda takes away from araki. This antonio lopez fellow deserves more praise. Some of arakis pieces are clearly clones.
My favourite character, Joshuke
