@@marinakostennikova1627 hi! I didn’t mean that India probably picked a random product or anything. I completely trust her when she recommends a product! She’s just tried a lot of products, Maui Moisture for example (on her ig) that I would love to see a go-to hair routine. Maybe her go-to hair routine includes stuff from both prose and Maui Moisture, or other brands!
One thing I learned to help stretch my conditioner is to apply a little bit and then brush it through, and only add a little more if needed but brush it all through. I do this and I use half the amount I used to.
Love that you embrace the imperfections. Your the only one showing your real hair before styling and embracing it. Thank you for being a role model to all ages ♥️
Haha! Just got complimented by a coworker today for my curls, and she asked if they were natural. I said yes, and she was like “you lucky thing” 😂😂 ofc I love my hair, but it’s hard work! Lol
Now that I discovered that I can style my hair on wash day, sleep on it, only put moisturizer in it and otherwise leave it alone for a full week? I do feel pretty lucky. I'm too lazy to do the whole daily wash and style (or otherwise put up) thing straight haired gals do.
Love the curls, they look natural like you were born with them! Just a statement I’ve heard so many times, girls with straight hair want curly, and girls with curly hair want straight. It seems like now, both can be achieved
I watched a Brad mondo video on the best way to wash your hair and he said that you don’t need to shampoo the ends only the scalp, I started doing that and I swear my hair is SO MUCH healthier, the ends do get cleansed when your washing the water out as I thought the ends wouldn’t get washed properly but it does. So I only now shampoo my scalp ❤️✌🏼 love your hair by the way!
I love that you showed your hair exactly how it is naturally because is exactly like mine. When I see these beautiful hairs with amazing curls it's impossible to believe that mine would be that way, but you gave me hope haha
I'd love to see you try Swavy Curly Courtney's routine--your textures are very similar in texture, but your methods are so different and I'd like to see how her styling routine works for you.
I know this is an older video but I could not help but notice how much curlier your hair is as an adult. My hair (and my sisters as well) have gotten curlier as we get nolder making it easier and easier lo leave curly. SO glad I don't straighten it out anymore. We always want what we don't have. Your videos have helped me so much, Thank You!🤗
thank you india for helping me embrace my natural curls! i did iron my hair for like 16 years of my life. i have decided to stop it and have been naturally curly for a little over a year now, and i love it!!!
Updated hair product recommendations list PLEASE!! And maybe make a list/document and link it? I’m excited to see what products you’ve added to your arsenal 😉💕
I didn’t always have curly hair. Went thru chemo and came back curly. It’s long and I’m afraid to get it cut. Can you take us along on your next hair cut.
I pre shampoo mask and detangle and I’m so glad you said you do too, every single one of my friends has gotten offended about it and said I’m doing it backwards but it works great for my hair lol.
Your videos motivate me to add that extra touch to my routine. I have a longer layered version of your hair. When drying my hair I turn upside down and scrunch focusing on my roots. Shake it out I might tease very little at the roots and I am good to go. You inspire me to add that special touch. Thanks India. I will follow.
What really helped me was learning about DEEP CONDITIONING!! Why did no one tell me about that until my late teens!! Currently 21 but I didn’t know about deep conditioning till 18 and I was mad that it actually helped solve some of the problems I was having
I love the cold water rinse! I don't notice a difference between warm and cold in my hair. I just like to put my head upside down and hit it with the coldest water from my faucet.
Oh my gosh PLEASE do a hydrofatigue video. I have straight hair, but I'm a swim instructor and am in chlorine almost everyday, and I couldn't find any videos on how to protect hair from chlorine. I wet my hair first and put conditioner in before hand to try and help, but I've never heard of hydrofatigue before. Love your videos girl! God bless❤
I've got the same type curl but probably more frizz, I only use a little conditioner but I don't rinse it out, don't put much at the top, the last few yrs learnt about stying from soaking wet, makes such a difference. Your tips are great.
I do a diluted apple cider vinegar rinse after I shampoo/condition and I don't smell like an easter egg. It gets rid of buildup and makes my curls so shiny. I think it smoothes the cuticle.
You are fantastic!!! Your personality, your hair, your fabulous delivery... this is my first viewing of you and I'm hooked, you seem like such a fun girl. Lovely!!❤❤❤
India or anyone ever tried Epsom salts on their curly hair? I recently went for a cut and the hairdresser soked by hair in Epsom salts and only lightly rinsed out GAME CHANGER. I had never heard of this. He said have a bath with Epsom salts and wash your hair with it every so often! Googled it and seems to be legit :)
Please do the rice water rinse video! I’ve never tried it, but I’ve been wanting to. There are many videos on it, of course, but I’d probably do it more if I saw you do it first!
SOO many great tips!!! Thank you!!! The dryer is where I go wrong😅 It's allllmmoosst dry=frriizzzz, also I am in love with the eye shadow color you have on!!!!
Thank you I really needed it. I never thought about using the pre mask in your hair before washing it. My hair was always matted. I subscribed it your channel
Aveda "sun care" is a good product for after chlorine or just to clarify from time to time without stripping all the natural oils. Just saying. It smells like herbs and spices in the best way possible.
Too much oil can take away the hold from gel I have learned. Those of us with a looser wave will have almost straight hair depending on how long in between washes because of the natural oils from oir hair and/or brushing.
Finding the perfect balance between definition and volume is a CHALLENGE especially because we need to take into account the weather I dont have a lot hair so a little frizz helps me a LOT
my favourite is when people say that my curls are beautiful but theirs are not defined and are so frizzy and ugly like... bish.... the reason for that is that your hair is damaged from flat irons and you dont know how to treat your hair not because mine are "naturally beautiful" I spend money and time on my hair, mostly learning about my hair.
Yes on the rice water challenge. I've seen where it helps your hair grow, as a protein mask, even as a straightening mask. I just don't even understand what the deal is with rice right now. When it comes to food rice is just an empty food that expands to make you feel more full after you eat and actually can take away some nutrients as it digests. I don't see how it would help hair.
Rice actually does have nutrients. That’s how it makes such a big difference in our hair 😊 Also there are proper ways to cook rice, it should be soaked first! That is really important, it makes it more digestible. I soak mine for probably almost 24 hours
I believe you have the perfect cut for curly/wavy hair combo which is similar to mine. Please share what your cut style is called or anything about it that you can share. Without the right cut it's hard to get that full look. Thanks!
A few questions: should completely rinse out the conditions? Should I use a wide come or pick after showering before putting in products. I use a t-shirt instead of a microfiber towel to wrap my wet hair . your thoughts? Thanks for all your tips.
I feel so sad, sometimes I love my curls but most of the time I hate them :( I know it's just hair but I feel so bad when I see so many girls rocking her curls and being confident, as you said in your intro I always think curly hair looks so bad on me and I want to love my hair I really want it :(
That last step always makes me nervous although I need it. It's having to touch my hair after the perfect curls are formed...now add the oil and run my hands all over my hair. It' seems counter-productive≥. IF only the oil can be sprayed on...that would be great but prob impossible
This was a great video :) I'm constantly battling frizz! When I brush with conditioner it's smooth, but as soon as i move it, even wet, it sticks together and has frizz...and i go through loads of conditioner and deep conditioner. I think my hair is low porosity red/brown/blonde with lots of gray now so hair is lighter then ever. Keep getting asked if I got it highlighted and I'm like "nope, just my natural silver highlights!" Aahahahahaha! I'm too cheap to color my hair😆😉 I get impatient after like an hour drying my hair, that I inevitably scrunch or touch it before it's 100% dry🙄😖I can only be bent in half so long in my old age! So, it is what it is. I would love to figure out why it still has a dry feeling when I feel like i use SO much conditioner. By the way...in the clip where your doing your hair...you look so adorable and about 15yrs old :) so cute...then boom...all grown and gorgeous all done up :) Thanks again!!
My oldest daughter is my clone. How many times I have told her that her wavy hair is pretty but mine doesn’t do that. After 20 other ppl commenting my hair looks just like hers.. finally trying to transition to natural all the time.
India, any recommendations for a dry shampoo for dark hair? Every one I have tried makes my black hair look like I have flour in it. Love your videos, girl!!!
Can anyone tell me what to do with the hair at night to get more days out of one wash? Also, how do you refresh the hair to fix it the next morning? Please and thank you in advance!
I personally sleep in a pineapple and refresh in the morning with a spray bottle full of water and some leave in mixed in but different things work for different people. Hope this helps 🥰
My biggest question is, how do you KEEP it nice and frizz-free? My hair looks fine out of the shower, but the second it is exposed to wind (the next morning on the way to work), it turns into a beast. I am not trying to be funny, it is a literal beast. Dry, frizzy, angry, knotted. I have tried everything from putting it up in every hairstyle imaginable (the top part *still* gets ultra frizzy, no matter how tight or loose the braid/bun/ponytail is), wearing a hood or a hat over it (helps somewhat, but still becomes frizzy and undefined), slathering it supposed 'miracle products', ranging from curlcreams, oils, gels, and what not. I just don't know what to do with it anymore. I have fine, 2c hair, on the thinner side. My scalp can't handle CG (YES, I tried everything, it just doesn't work for me), but I use sulphate free shampoo, no silicones, wash every 3-4 days. There is no such thing as too much conditioner for me, but it does get weighed down easily, and it still manage to be frizzy. Someone, *please* tell me how to deal with this mess! 28 years, and I am still no closer to cracking this one.
A silk scarf wrapped around your hair when you're out in the wind. Tie it under your chin. Also, if your hair is flyaway like mine, it may because of your climate. Where I live it's desert, the air is very dry, no humidity, and I am very prone to flyaways and wind tangles. I always keep a silk scarf in my purse.
You are such a role model to me! I love your channel and I feel safe here! I know this is an off topic question but could you do a video of how to clean yourself down there during your period? I’m to embarrassed to ask my mom and sister! Love you btw stay safe! ❤️
I use summers eve 5 in 1 cleansing wash all the time. Its safe if you really get it inside you since its ph balanced. During my period I soak in a bath with epsom salts. I use a wash cloth with summers eve wash and i take my finger with the washcloth around it and really clean in every crevice and even up inside a bit. Take the bath water and kinda splash it up in there. Also they sell the wipes so does honey pot. I feel the honey pot wipes are kinda burny though so not good for really cleaning the sensitive parts of the vagina. Sorry if TMI. I am very clean down there. Just dont ever use harsh soaps use stuff ph balanced and fomulated for our lady parts. I double cleanse my vagina and butthole since those areas harbor lots of bacteria.
Your hair is so gorgeous!!! I'm struggling to get volume now that we have had a cold snap and the humidity is gone! Also, I miss how the humidity made my hair curly, but now that it is dry out, my hair is just wavy and flat. But do I miss the heat? No lol.

Great info! I also use a dry shampoo on the first day!
Your hair is so gorgeous!!! I'm struggling to get volume now that we have had a cold snap and the humidity is gone! Also, I miss how the humidity made my hair curly, but now that it is dry out, my hair is just wavy and flat. But do I miss the heat? No lol.
What kind of gel do you use? Also do you apply conditioner only on the bottom half of your hair or the roots as well?
Yes pleeeeeeaseeeee do the fermented rice water challenge 🤩
