This whole video felt like one of those infomercials where the "problem" never happens and the "solution" is something that no one asked for. Even her facial expressions change when talking about the products. Everytime she talks about Prose (& I wont forget the name bc she said it 1000x) she smiles and is so peppy but when shes on the other half of her head she's making "ew" faces as she does outrageous things that she would never do otherwise.
"I wouldn't recommended you use this type of cream if you have hair like mine" 🤔 and scrunch in gel "which you shouldn't do, so I'm going to do that" Its obvious this is going to be a fail as opposed to the sponsors 'amazing' product - it also doesn't look scrunched out at all, I've used products that have ended up like that but can be scrunched out. An altogether biased approach.
Just what I thought. I get that she was showing 2 different looks, one that gives her the look she likes & one that gives a different look that others might prefer. But you don’t know how much of that difference is due to product choices & how much is due to technique. And if she wants to promote a brand, a lot more sales would result if she showed how to get either look by way of different technique rather than a combination of different products as well as techniques.
Honestly as someone with short hair who gets volume pretty easily, I love the no side! I really go for definition. Ahh, the curly community is so wonderfully diverse 😁
not necessarily.. yes she did take up quite a bit of time in the video for that one product, but the different techniques were still explained. Also, you could swap out that particular product for another cream product and could still achieve the right side of her hair.
this is EXACTLY why i didn't want to say "the correct side and wrong side!!""" because everyone has different goals and preferences !! I hope that this video helps you create what you want XOXOXO
Victoria same for me! I love the big beach look on India but mine gets so frizzy (even with a gel or even oil) and looks crazy. India do you ever get frizz? With the non-fluffy side, I would just be crunching more and flipping it upside down to fluff it up but then it gets frizzy. Such issues we curlies have. Lol. 🙄😩😊🤷♀️
I enjoyed what I saw but you give no instructions on how to use each product. Do you just apply it as you show and let it air dry? You talk very fast and I missed the product names. Please slow down, pretend you are getting ready foe a big date. And show us from start to finish how you get the beautiful look on the right.
jay hulrs definitely just know that it’s not necessarily “ WRONG “ they will just give you different results !!! So play around tmrw with some different methods and see how your results change 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗😘❤️
I had a curly stylist recommend adding styler to soaking wet hair so I tried it again but my hair just gets way more volume, definition and tighter curls when I style with damp hair. I do scrunch in gel and my hair does fine with it.
OMG, PEQUI OIL! I'm thrilled! I have never seen an international brand using this oil before. I'm from Montes Claros, state of Minas Gerais, Brazil, and the pequi is a typical fruit of my region, also my city is known as the "Capital of Pequi", and we have an "Annual Pequi Festival", with a lot of dishes made with this fruit hahaha. An interesting fact is that even the people of my city don't appreciate the value of this oil, or don't even know about its properties for hair use. The fruit is very well known in our typical cuisine, and that's it. I just discovered your channel, and I already loved it!
Will you do a video where you try finger curling your hair? I know you usually prefer volume over definition, but it would be cool to see how your hair would look using a totally different styling technique! I have hair similar to yours and I do it sometimes when I want a more formal "perfect" type of look
It's honestly SUCH a relief to finally find a curly RUclipsd with pretty much the same exact curl pattern as me. Most videos I find are for super curly girls, and I don't seem to find many for us wavy/curly girls lol so THANK YOU for making such great content. Also, great video!! My hair ends up a lot like the soaking wet side, so I’ll be trying your way from now on! What’s your favorite gel? 💕
Even after doing the cgm for over a year, I still feel like there is so much to learn and different techniques to get the look you want. I like big fluffy hair too but can't always achieve it. This video really helped and it worked great on my hair this morning. Thanks for sharing!
So adding volume on day one after washing my hair has been such a struggle! Waiting the little bit of time before applying my gel and curl cream has made a huge difference!!! And it helps cut down on my defusing time! I use several methods you use in your which has helped so much! Thank you for sharing all your tips and tricks!
You deliberately over applied on the “no” side to make the sponsored side look better. If you had applied a normal amount, you probably would have gotten the same results as the sponsored side.
To be fair, the topic was how products are applied rather than which ones. However, she should've used the same products on both sides. I've gotten similar results to these from the two different applications using the same products, so it still would've turned out at least a bit different. This would be better as two separate videos: one using different products (for the sponsorship), and one using different application techniques.
That wasn't the point, it was more like a volume vs. definition side. She applied more to make her hair weighed down and defined and applied less on the other side to show the volume. She followed the instructions on her prose product to help her get what look SHE wanted and then showed what someone else might do if there want a defined look.
I am so glad that RUclips randomly recommended me your channel. I started to watch your newer videos, but this one was the absolute game changer with how to apply my products and how I wasn't doing it in a way that was getting me the desired results. Apparently, I needed it spelled out explicitly on how to apply products, because I didn't pick up on it from just watching lol. I have super dense and heavy hair, so I always thought that volume and length were mutually exclusive, and they're not! Thank you so much for making this content!
I think if you would have used a diffuser and broke the casts on the "no" side this would have been a more thorough tutorial. If it wasnt a sponsored video you might have put in more effort to both sides and not just prose side. Still a good video though.
Lindsay M exactly my thought too. The “no” side could have looked like the “yes” side with a little more effort. If anyone wondered, the tutorial starts at 5:25-ish. Before that it’s sponsored talk ☺️
The point of this video was to show how different techniques yield different looks, with one side being her preferred side, and the other being an example of techniques she doesn’t find effective for the look that she is going for. Doing things to the left side to make it look more like the right side flies in the face of this point. Plus she did scrunch out the crunch on both sides.
Finally, someone said the truth! You can feel that this video would have been better if this wasnt sponsored... At least use the same products if you wanna talk about the way you style😒
sakanade12 I’m disappointed too. Either use the same product and different techniques, or the same techniques and a different product. I’ve never ever seen anyone recommend to curlies to put product straight into the root and comb it through. I think this really was what caused such a big difference in the results (besides that she obviously scrunched her “good” side a lot longer)
Omg its crazy how much the volume side makes your eyes look more lifted! But the other side makes your eyes look lower down which they look un even lol. And im not saying that in a mean way! But the way u normally wear ur hair really lifts ur face 😊
Jill Gerace YES !!!!!!!! Exactly !!!! I noticed the exact same thing !!! You can literally change how your face looks with your hair style !!! I totally agree !! It’s crazy.
Ive been married forever. Thank you for helping me understand my wife physically and emotionally. Never to late to learn. And your getting married. I love your common sense. Blessings from Florida......Bill
I have two completely different layers to my hair, a tight curl pattern underneath a looser beach-ier layer. Would you use different products for both layers?
My hair usually goes in ringlets at the front and straightens down the back. Some days it’s 2a - 2b, some it’s pushing 3a. Confuses me so much. I usually braid it instead of hoping it’ll dry normally haha
Zaynab Mahmood Chaudhry It’s so annoying. Some days you just brush it out, realise you look like a sheep and put it in a bun. Sometimes it’ll look nice, and then you see the back. And theres always that one person who’s like “why don’t you just brush it and it’ll go straight”. Half the time you’re wondering what’d happen if you changed routine, would it go fully curly? But hey, guess we’ll never know lol
I know this was like 4 weeks ago but still hoping you girls will see my comment! I wanted to say that I was just watching a video before this where the youtuber had the exact same issue with her curls being different on the under layers and the outer most layers on top were more lose curls/waves! She went to an actual **curly** stylist who cuts/works with ONLY curly/wavy hair, and her suggestion was for her (the youtuber) to get a curly girl hair cut which basically involved her getting her top layers shorter so that the underneath could shine and stand out more. She said the reason the hair was doing that was bc the top layers were too heavy and were weighed down and after she got the cut all of her curls were more symmetrical (if that makes since lol) and defined! Maybe try getting a curly girl cut and see if that helps even things out? Just food for thought 😊
Girl when I first saw this I was like “damp styling?! Putting on products outside the shower? Yikes, not for me!” & I was cringing just like you were doing the “no” side but I gave it a go and my hair looks amazing.....will definitely be implementing this 15 minute wait time from now on!!!!
I am a biracial woman with 3a/3b hair with 2c hair at the back of my head toward the nap of my neck. At the crown of my head I have some 3b hair. All round the rest of my head towards the front of my head, I have loose 3a curls with some 3b spirals curls. The reason I have to learn about type 2 hair is because, I would end up with flat string greasy looking hair at the back of my head with with some frizz, with a few 3b curls cover it up from the crown of my head. "Yes" my hair at the back of my head would look flat, greasy and stringy or frizz out, according to what the weather dictates. Whilst the front of my hair were the 3a/3b curls would look gorgeous. This is not good for me, that I know for sure !!! I know I have to learn how to look after my natural hair, for a change, instead of straightening it with the straightener or putting it up into a bun.
Stop using heat, silicones, and sulfates. Only brush when wet and full of conditioner. Check out The Science-y Hair Blog for a list of ingredients to watch out for.
Definitely a trim for the frizzy ends. If you wanna go all out, you can do the big chop and let it grow back without heat. But in the short term, especially if you don’t have many hair products, shampoo only the roots and scalp, and condition only midway to ends. Also, when it’s drying get a small amount of conditioner (about a 1.5cm by 1.5cm blob) and massage it through your hair. Unless you have product, conditioner will work.
Omg that you so much!! I've felt so frustrated because my hair had no volume. I would do that exact technique of the "wet look" and I was not happy with how it looked. I want more volume and now I know how, thank you for the technique!! Can't wait to try this out tommorow!
I love you India! You taught me to rock my curls, for as long as I could remember I straighted my super curly hair. But now after watching your videos I wear my natural curls! So thank you, I love you♥️♥️
okay, question. How early must one get up to accomplish all of the wash day tasks? I've always been a nighttime showerer, but now as i've discovered the CG method i've started to shower in the morning. I can never get my hair done and dry and usually run out of the house with wet crunchy hair! I feel like this is rarely talked about in the curl community.
I've tried everything my right side is wavy the left side is frizzy and I'm glad I can't see the back, gel makes my hair crunchy and cream, mousse or custard makes my hair greasy frizzy!
If it gets out of hand you can try french braiding it (loose or tight, depends on what you want) after a shower. Let it dry until it’s only a bit damp, braid it and sleep on it and when you wake up it’ll be even. Braid it as far down as possible. That’ll keep the hairs that usually go frizzy down and it’ll look way more even. Most of my curly/wavy haired friends use that method too, it works for most. Give it a go!
I just ordered my first Prose products since I’ve heard nothing but good things! After 2 months of using nothing but Deva Curl, my hair is thinning and I am losing so much anytime i run my fingers through it or detangle and now my scalp is burning even 2 days after washing. Never again will I go with DC. I’m so pumped to try Prose!
I have read, watched, listened to every curl wavy self help, and I am like what? This made sense! You actually really helped me realize what the heck I'm doing wrong. I shall go forth with an education that makes sense. Thanks Prose. Thank you India. God bless you.
Omg. Thank you! My hair looks like the "wet" side of your head. I needed this. I am still in transition for my curly hair but these techniques will definitely help. If you have any other ideas and helpful tips please share. :)
Bridget Ann I’m so so happy you hear this video was helpful !!!!! Definitely experiment with the different ways to apply your styling products. You can get totally different results just by how you apply it 🥰❤️
This has got to be the most helpful video about styling I've ever seen thank yooouuu so much! Now I get why my hair looks so greasy and flat all the time haha.
I honestly love both. Sometimes I go for the more defined flatter but sometimes I like the fluffier look. It depends on what my hair feels like doing that day cause my hair literally has a mind of its own 😂
I have a curl pattern very similar to yours and have been trying to get the "beachy" look instead of the defined curls...tried this method and it was a success! Thank you for sharing!!
😆 I do the Franchelli routine: super wet, denman brush, scrunch and diffuse. And I am heavy handed with my products lol I need massive hold I live in Florida now. I need crunch, because it breaks after I diffuse.
hi can i ask where you got the denman brush? was it cheap? i am trying the cgm since i want to look more put together and i always see people use the denman brush but its a bit expensive and i cant really afford it online.. you are saying that you use no products? (wet, brush, scrunch, diffuse) and how does that routine work for you? If using little to no product works well too then i might as well save money and try that out! Thank you 💕
@@amira2809 lol nooo I meant that's the tools and order I use. I definitely use hair products. I use a curl cream then a super hold gel. I got my brush from Sally's Beauty, they had a knock off for $8. Works exactly the same.
Can i brush my hair dry before washing it, because it falls a lot when i brush it wet in the shower? Is it gonna ruin my curls or...? Sorry for my English. I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS 💖💖💖
Ana Djokic it’s completely up to you. You absolutely can!! If you find you lose less hair, then do that! Just be careful and go slow when you brush it while dry 🥰💛
Well, I notice a decent amount of shedding during my conditioner detangling, but that's pretty normal. I think most of that comes from the fact that I don't dry brush my hair anymore or run my fingers through it between washes. So, the hair that would normally fall out each day just gets kinda trapped in my hair til I detangle every four days or so.
I've been wondering what I've been doing wrong as to why my hair has seemed so flat. I'm going to try and start waiting to put my stylers in, instead of putting them in immediately after I get out of the shower
3 wks into CGM & coming back. I learned I HATE the whole curl clumping & the way it looks. So I made my own “lazy girl method” just damp styling & not trying too much. I prefer this look too. Only issue is some days it looks crazy & I can’t tell what I’m doing wrong. I get halo frizz sometimes. And if I use moisturizing products, it sits on my low po hair looking greasy on the ends & still frizzing at my head. If anyone sees me.. help!?
The difference is astounding!! I am definitely going to try the technique that you used on your fluffy side. Usually I use praying hands, but I have pretty thin hair (and not a lot of it) so even after scrunching I have less volume than I'd like. Thank you so much for this video!!! 💚💚💚
Ahh thank you for this video! All the curly hair videos are for hair so much curlier and thicker than me hair and it ends up looking stringy and flat and weighed down now I know where I’m going wrong! Thank you!
Yes yes yes sister. So SICK of the RULES that do not work for all of us!When I first started wanting to wear my hair wavy, and deva curl and the curly girl method and applying soaking wet products didn’t work for me I thought it was MY HAIR and I gave up!! For over a year! I started straightening blow drying and curling every day again. Fast forward to now, I know different techniques, different products, what works for my hair.. different ways I can manipulate my natural texture to get different looks - loose beach waves, tighter waves and curls ETC! Nothing is “right” or “wrong” ! No product is right or wrong no method .. life is not black and white ! The same thing will not work for everyone. Just posting this so if someone reads it who was in my position .. don’t give up on your hair. My hair loves damp styling, silicones, sulfates, brushing, heat 🤪🤪🤪
Can you make a video about hair porosity and what products to use? I have low porosity, 2b/2c hair and have a lot of difficulty with products just sitting on my curls.
Leslie Kuech you might have to customize the time frame and experiment. I don’t really plop long term after I get the immediate excess out- I dry it until it’s damp but not dripping down my back. 10-15 minutes would work for me but may not work for you if your hair dries quick/you prefer to leave your hair plopped the entire time
Every time I looked in the mirror my curls looked more and more perfect as night progressed through rainy football game and more, I was watching this in the process earlier hopeful I could get some tips and referenced her funny PERFECT!!! And now as I look my curls look better than I’ve ever seen for reference I’m (42) 🙄, so seriously my curly sisters want some good curl this chicks got the rundown!!!! Thanku bunches, absolutely subbing now!!!
So how do you apply gel the right way? I always thought you should scrunch it in. I watched the video 3 times and don't see gel being applied to the "good" side...
Thank you for sharing! Now I am confused, many of the techniques on the flatter side are ones I see curly hair gurus use all the time and are recommended on fb groups for CGM. I will def try switching it up.
Could you pleeeease do a video or series of bridal styling for natural curls?? I’m getting married this summer and having SUCH a hard time finding a stylist who doesn’t want to blow out my curls first, I’m thinking of just doing it myself!!
almostelphaba I have one recent video where I worked with a stylist to create some bridal looks on natural hair!! It’s from a couple months back ! And they are easy to do yourself
*India I NEED you to try a method a girl on tiktok did. She basically put her hair on a satin bonet and she used a blow dryer to give the hair volume over the satin bonet. She didn’t use any diffuser. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE TRY THIS! I wanna know if it’s worth it or how it will come out since your hair texture is similar to mine.* Ps. Sorry for my bad english, it’s not my first language.
Hey I saw a video from a hairdresser (Deva curl certified) talking about how she's noticed her clients hair being damaged by devacurl(usually after exposure to warmer temperatures) products, I wanted to know if you've seen anything similar
I personally have not experienced any issues, which is why I have not addressed this topic yet( i've been asked before). As it has not effected me at all. But if you feel like their products are negatively impacting your hair in any way shape or form, stop using them and reach out to their customer service immediately !! I just have not experienced this.
@@ErikaRodriguez-jr3qb yeah :( I got one of the leave in conditioners and I didn't notice a huge difference until I went into a hot pool and my hair was so tangely and dry after (which hadn't happened before). I'm probably going to return it and wait a bit before hopefully repurchasing
Erika Rodriguez Soultanicals is a much more natural brand than Shea Moisture.. Their deep conditioners are all about Ayurvedic herbs that focus on hair growth.
Deva puts so much damn glycerin in most of their products I end up with frizz for days. It’s a shame because it smells so good and has the potential to be great quality.
Just got into Georgia Tech and one of the first things that came to my mind was, "Hey, India lives in Atlanta!" You should do a meet-and-greet in August or something!
LOL! I gave you specific instructions on how to use a diffuser because in the other video of yours your hair was so frizzy. I felt sorry for you! Haha! You do know how to style your hair w/o frizz. The Pros side is beautiful. I think that side looked incredible.
My hair used to be bouncy like your lioness side and now its like not voluminous anymore. I guess im going to have to track down my OG products, I used to love Shea Moisture Curl Milk SOOOOO much!!!
I have very very fine long wavy hair and and trying to decide to use a gel or mousse in addition to a hair curly lotion cream. What do you recommend? I definitely love the more voluminous side on this video.
I have never seen anyone start the praying hands technique at their roots like that, but rather at mid-shaft. Maybe that's part of the "wrong" technique you were talking about! I have to kind of combine these two methods. I have tried your roping/coating technique for applying products, and I end up with definition ONLY on my outer layers, with pure frizz/no definition underneath! So for me, I have to make sure and scrunch my products in. I'd be interested to see how a Denman brush works on your hair. Instead of brushing your hair flat, you turn it as though you're creating curls with a flat iron. This distributes the product and also emphasizes curls, rather than stretching them. It is surprising! Might not be your favorite results, but it's ust another of many techniques to experiment with and demonstrate for our entertainment, haha!
do you have any recommendations for curly hair in a humid place?, the city I live in is really humid and sometimes my hair will have a lot of volumen because of the humidity and it doeesnt look good
I seriously appreciate the work you put into helping us with our hair!!! Thank you!!! My only disappointment is I just washed my hair so I have to wait to try these techniques! 😂 And that I just bought a new styler... have to put prose on the waitlist!!
I'd love to see a video on how to know if your hair needs protein or not. Total newbie in learning how to deal with my curls and trying to figure out which products are best for my hair. Thanks for this styler application video. It is incredibly helpful!
Howdy. Lazy, long-hair guy here. I use the wet look if I plan on looking good 2-3 days later. It doesn't have as much volume as the right side, but it means I can leave my hair alone for days without worrying about frizz and tangles.
Hello India! I just subscribed! Can you tell me where you got the detangling brush at 1:49 in this video? (I don't see it on the Prose site, so if it was from there, they don't have it any more to my knowledge) Thank you, the best to you now and in the future!
Loved this! 💕 I did a video recently using the same product, but 4 different application techniques and i was shocked at how much the methods in which you apply product makes an impact!
To India batson... in the video it looks like your using a grey mini shoulder towel of some sort so water doesnt go all over the place while ur hair is wet. What is that and where do I get one?
Wow. This was so helpful, I didn't realize how much simply the way you apply your styler affects the texture of your curls. Thank you so much for this ❣️
Something i have noticed in case you decide to buy Prose products is that it seems to work better for people with finer/wavier and looser curls and that they dont work as well with 4 type hair. I havent tried it though so I personally cant give my opinion, its simply something i have heard from other youtubers or people i know :) Its a really cool company though, i have been really curious to try it. I’m definitely not trying to bash their products. I have heard positive and negative things about them which is normal since everyone’s hair is different. Love your videos as always India 💙
hey India! what gel did you use ? I'm finding it so hard to find a good gel without drying alcohols. Thank you so much for your videos, they are so helpful 🥰 I love your happy energy ❤
Shea Moisture is a good brand to look into. I have super fine wavy/curly hair so their Daily Hydration Gel (it says 100% coconut oil on the bottle) is what I use. But their coconut hibiscus line has gels that work really well for thicker, tighter curl patterns :)

Yes!! This is always my biggest curl dilemma!
that means your curls are being weighed down, dry them upside down (spisha method) to retain the curls in the roots so gravity doesnt straighten them
I wish I did I look like a lion 😁

Hi there
I wish the same products had been used on both sides so we could really see the impact of technique.
My thoughts too.
It's not a fair comparison. She never ever styles her hair like the 'bad' one.
So of course the 'pro' products are gonna look amazing
This whole video felt like one of those infomercials where the "problem" never happens and the "solution" is something that no one asked for. Even her facial expressions change when talking about the products. Everytime she talks about Prose (& I wont forget the name bc she said it 1000x) she smiles and is so peppy but when shes on the other half of her head she's making "ew" faces as she does outrageous things that she would never do otherwise.
Will you try the glow habit curl line
I love this !! So many people are saying they prefer that side too !! Which is amazing XOXOXO

Also like the no side, my hair is so thick it looks like the yes side no matter what i do
i think it´s great for short hair, but with my long hair i just dont like how it´s too defined
I love the no side aswell.... diverse indeed😅
This is a long comercial for one product more than a comparison of technique.
Darcy Kim Gyaltso I agree 😏
not necessarily.. yes she did take up quite a bit of time in the video for that one product, but the different techniques were still explained. Also, you could swap out that particular product for another cream product and could still achieve the right side of her hair.
yyeeaaahhh....
Should have read this first....😑😑 Thank you for the notice, even if I got it late lol

Lol. 🙄😩😊🤷♀️

I noticed that too she was biased from the begining
I agree. This was an infomercial and not super helpful.
That wasn't the point, it was more like a volume vs. definition side. She applied more to make her hair weighed down and defined and applied less on the other side to show the volume. She followed the instructions on her prose product to help her get what look SHE wanted and then showed what someone else might do if there want a defined look.
Mo' Fo' Tamar From the title, thumbnail, and how she explained everything in the video, that isn’t how it came off.
I want to see those other methods of applying products and when is a good time to use each one.
Kathryn Kaumheimer yessss
A middle parting? Who is she 😂?!
WE STILL DON'T KNOW WHO SHE IS
I am so glad that RUclips randomly recommended me your channel.
I agree with you ladies. Little disappointed
Just use the same products. Opt for lightweight & water-soluble :)
My hair usually goes in ringlets at the front and straightens down the back. Some days it’s 2a - 2b, some it’s pushing 3a. Confuses me so much. I usually braid it instead of hoping it’ll dry normally haha
Zaynab Mahmood Chaudhry
It’s so annoying.
Same here. My hair transitions from top front to back and underneath 2c to 3b. It drives me crazy.
I’m coming to the conclusion that I have wavy hair and I’m SO anxious about starting because I have no idea what I’m doing. Thank you for this video.
This was very helpful I’m 16 and my hair is very heat damaged and has gotten very thin do you have any tips on what I can do to get rid of frizz ? Xx
It took time for me I wore my hair natural and it grew really healthy then I got a trim to get rid of the dead ends. I also use a defrizzer
Stop using heat, silicones, and sulfates. Only brush when wet and full of conditioner. Check out The Science-y Hair Blog for a list of ingredients to watch out for.
Sophia Ellertson thank you !
Linden Peters thank u !
Take a shot of water every time India says "and all that jazz" 😂❤️
Anyone else distracted by India's guns while she was shampooing? 💪💪💪
Alyssa Burns girllllll I’ve been working out !!!!!! I’m trying 😂😂😂😂😂
Oops, I read that as “gums”.
I have straight hair but I’m so mesmerised by your eyes and personality that I watched the whole thing. 😂
@@sparksfly5877 smashing thanks
Gonna try a touch of gel for halo frizz. Thanks!
You can get totally different results just by how you apply it 🥰❤️
@@indiabatson26 That is so good to know. I am definitely going to experiment and figure out what works. Thanks again! :)
I loved this tutorial!! I’ve been in “ transition “ for about 6 months and I sometimes feel like I will never figure my hair out
shoot if I wait 5 minutes I don't hear the squish sound lol
destinie malish me too
Yeah same thing happens to me and don’t know why.
You can wet it again with a spray bottle. Not make it soaking wet but have it damp. A spray bottle is the way to go.
Your hair probably absorbs more water (high porosity). You can definitely add more w a spray bottle.
Jennifer Zapienn high porosity hair does this
This has got to be the most helpful video about styling I've ever seen thank yooouuu so much! Now I get why my hair looks so greasy and flat all the time haha.
I honestly love both. Sometimes I go for the more defined flatter but sometimes I like the fluffier look. It depends on what my hair feels like doing that day cause my hair literally has a mind of its own 😂
Oh thank goodness they are vegan free, I would hate to have to pick vegan parts out of my shampoo. Yes I'm teasing.
LOL hahahahhahah how tragic that would be
Have you ever been hunted to be used for hair care? I still have nightmares.

Ana Djokic I do that
Engleski ti je perfektan ne brini 😘
I always have so much shedding whenever I wash my hair and detangle. Does this happen to everyone? Is it normal?
Well, I notice a decent amount of shedding during my conditioner detangling, but that's pretty normal. I think most of that comes from the fact that I don't dry brush my hair anymore or run my fingers through it between washes. So, the hair that would normally fall out each day just gets kinda trapped in my hair til I detangle every four days or so.
Can you do a review on the sm curl enhancing smoothie and the aussie instant freeze gel?
I I I like crunchy curls🤷🏼♀️cause when it’s dry I can get rid of the crunch by scrunching out the crunch.your hair is so beautiful🤗just like tou
Beautiful Fails everyone is different in their preferences and that’s the beauty of this curl community 😭😭😭😭😭😭 love you 😘😘😘😘😘
I've been wondering what I've been doing wrong as to why my hair has seemed so flat. I'm going to try and start waiting to put my stylers in, instead of putting them in immediately after I get out of the shower
Clipping the roots while it dries has solved that problem for me
What did you do to your hair at the 12min mark to finish it and finish the style and dry it? Air dry? Diffuse?
Every time I watch your videos, it always makes me feel like my childhood Barbie doll came to life! How does someone have Barbie genes😂
Is this your updated curl routine?
I have low porosity, 2b/2c hair and have a lot of difficulty with products just sitting on my curls.
giiiiirrrrllll how's the wedding planning going? hope things are working out for you two
Angelica GIRRRRRRRL wedding planning is rocking my world !!!! Lol THIS SUMMER ITS HAPPENING SISTER SO I GOTTA HURRY UP AND PLAN lol
Question - when you wait 10-15 minutes before applying products is your hair plopped that whole time? If so isn't your hair too dry for product?
I watched the video 3 times and don't see gel being applied to the "good" side...
slun4evka about 10 mins in she does the gel really quickly.
@@Cmm474 thank you so much!
IndiaBatson oooo I missed that one! Thank you so much!!!
*India I NEED you to try a method a girl on tiktok did. She basically put her hair on a satin bonet and she used a blow dryer to give the hair volume over the satin bonet. She didn’t use any diffuser. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE TRY THIS! I wanna know if it’s worth it or how it will come out since your hair texture is similar to mine.*
Ps.
I saw that video too! Scary stuff... if you are scared of this happening to you I would just stick to natural products like shea moisture
This was very helpful. I'm very fragrance sensitive & cannot use oils on my skin/scalp so finding good hatrcare products is a nightmare.
Just got into Georgia Tech and one of the first things that came to my mind was, "Hey, India lives in Atlanta!" You should do a meet-and-greet in August or something!
What do you do with your hair while you wait the 15 minutes to apply your stylers? Thank you!! 🥰🥰
I really wish you’d put a link to all the products used including the brush used...it’s so helpful.
LOL! I gave you specific instructions on how to use a diffuser because in the other video of yours your hair was so frizzy. I felt sorry for you! Haha!
You do know how to style your hair w/o frizz. The Pros side is beautiful. I think that side looked incredible.
Well, I feel like I just watched a 15 minute commercial:(
Lorena Lilian I mean it’s a sponsored video so what do you expect?
My hair used to be bouncy like your lioness side and now its like not voluminous anymore. I guess im going to have to track down my OG products, I used to love Shea Moisture Curl Milk SOOOOO much!!!
I have very very fine long wavy hair and and trying to decide to use a gel or mousse in addition to a hair curly lotion cream. What do you recommend? I definitely love the more voluminous side on this video.
Going to have to try Prose my next round of new products! Thanks!
Might not be your favorite results, but it's ust another of many techniques to experiment with and demonstrate for our entertainment, haha!
do you have any recommendations for curly hair in a humid place?, the city I live in is really humid and sometimes my hair will have a lot of volumen because of the humidity and it doeesnt look good
What kind of gel did you use for your hair type? Also I couldn’t actually see how much you used.
Hi! How do you remove the cast? Very fun video!
I seriously appreciate the work you put into helping us with our hair!!! Thank you!!!
My only disappointment is I just washed my hair so I have to wait to try these techniques! 😂
And that I just bought a new styler... have to put prose on the waitlist!!
Getting a chop this weekend! Can’t wait to try these new tricks!!
DJ Candido just chopped off all my damaged hair yesterday- I miss the length but my curls are SO much better 😉
I'd love to see a video on how to know if your hair needs protein or not. Total newbie in learning how to deal with my curls and trying to figure out which products are best for my hair. Thanks for this styler application video. It is incredibly helpful!
How often do you wash your hair? What do you do for the days you don't wash?
Howdy. Lazy, long-hair guy here. I use the wet look if I plan on looking good 2-3 days later. It doesn't have as much volume as the right side, but it means I can leave my hair alone for days without worrying about frizz and tangles.
Finally found someone who has the same exact hair type to mines 😩😩😩I’ve learned from my mistakes
So have you changed your routine from the original hair routine video you posted? In that video you said you applied cream to soaking wet hair...
Are there any other light curl cream options you like? I am excited to try your method for more volume!
Love Prose, India did you trim or cut your hair?
Wow. This was so helpful, I didn't realize how much simply the way you apply your styler affects the texture of your curls. Thank you so much for this ❣️
Do you always style right side up? I dont have a curl cream, but will be trying this method.
I don’t know about Prose products but I’ve always learned that water should be #1 ingredient in products for curlies ...
do you ever do finger coiling? I have "tight" waves and cant seem to get finger coiling to work for me
Something i have noticed in case you decide to buy Prose products is that it seems to work better for people with finer/wavier and looser curls and that they dont work as well with 4 type hair. I havent tried it though so I personally cant give my opinion, its simply something i have heard from other youtubers or people i know :)
Its a really cool company though, i have been really curious to try it. I’m definitely not trying to bash their products. I have heard positive and negative things about them which is normal since everyone’s hair is different. Love your videos as always India 💙
So glad I found you. You speak my hair language. I like volume, messyish ECT.
hey India!
what gel did you use ?
I'm finding it so hard to find a good gel without drying alcohols.
Thank you so much for your videos, they are so helpful 🥰
I love your happy energy ❤
Shea Moisture is a good brand to look into. I have super fine wavy/curly hair so their Daily Hydration Gel (it says 100% coconut oil on the bottle) is what I use. But their coconut hibiscus line has gels that work really well for thicker, tighter curl patterns :)
