I think people may be quite underestimate capitano playability right now. Dudes got a lot going for him rn. He has a sticker, he has the portrait icon, he has a voiceline about him from someone that isn’t a harbinger “ororon” and he proably will get one from the pyro archon to, they already chose his weapon type plus even designed it in advance and let me add this dude litteraly uses the same outlines natlan charcters get when they use nightsoul. He will most likely litteraly similiar have the almost same traversal skills that ororon and citalia have which levitates them into the air for a little bit which makes sense since They have such a strong connection with the masters of the night wind. Ima not believe majority of these leaks and will only judge for what is actually shown in game. We just gotta wait till either 5.6 or 5.7 cause knowing hoyo by now they atlest want 1 harbinger fight.

I feel a lot of people are forgetting to account for Pierro in this fight because he's not technically a harbinger, but their director. He would still 100% have a stake in this fight and, as their leader, be interested in mainting the status quo, which makes him a conservative. Better yet, if we use their harbinger ranks to quantify each team, we have the Radicals average a harbinger rank of 5.3 (excluding columbina and wanderer) and the Conservatives at 4.5 (excluding Pulcinella). A lower number means higher ranked teammates overall, which puts the Conservatives at a slight advantage. The solution? Traveler helps the Radicals during the 6.X AQ. This is all speculation but it leaves room for the two weekly bosses we get per region (Dottore and Pierro) and has the teams more or less evenly matched. This is all to say, Capitano opposing us during the fatui schism is NOT set in stone and should not be used to say he isn't playable, especially not when Tartaglia released as a playable character while still technically acting as the villain during Liyue's AQ. Capitano becoming playable is a far more likely outcome than otherwise, and most of what you hear against it is Columbina copium. That said, to all the Capitano enjoyers, enjoy.

@@neo4r4 arlecchino, the harbinger "from" fontaine who operates an "orphanage" in fontaine, was shoehorned into the plot of fontaine? huh???? she didnt play a major role? she runs the house of the hearth, lyney, lynette, and freminet would only be acting under her orders or at the very least with her approval. does focalors not play a huge role in fontaine because she spends most of the time pulling the strings? and even though house of wolves is fan made, the character dynamics within it have aged surprisingly well as the game progresses and we learn more about the harbingers, what with wanderer's grudge against dottore and childe + arlecchino's "outspoken" dissatisfaction with the way pierro's running things.

Just remember that there's a reason why Capitano has an important role in Natlan. That man saved Xilonen's life during war, not to mention has a soft spot for protecting those who fought beside him, because he has been traumatized his entire life during khaenri'ah's great cataclysm and he wanted to save them. His death is no longer a problem for him since he's already dead (cursed in immortality). He even save his subordinate after feeling dizzy (probably the abyssal virus that made him weak). He was desperate, because he wanted to accomplish something that's worth the risk. Everyone in snezhnaya, including the harbingers (Scaramouche, Childe, Arlecchino) fully respected Capitano. He may be that too tall, I'm sure the devs would think about it, so please be patient. For those who keep saying Columbina will be playable is actually kinda blurry to me, since she's been around in snezhnaya at the release of the trailer "Winter nights lazzo". We don't know her skill abilities and her main weapon choice. She may have the hints in some dialogues of the story, but that doesn't mean that she is going to appear anytime soon, because... she's not there. Let's all just wait until we get another announcement
There's no way that Capitano won't be playable or even be unavailable in Natlan. His crucial part in Natlan and the recent archon quests is a sure way idea that he'll be playable in Natlan at some point. Same thing that happened to every harbinger. Signoria was the only one to come and go in the archon quest like Dainslief, which eventually kept up with her in his demise.
No way Capitano only has 23 voice lines in 5.3 given how the devs themselves mentioned that he is integral to the story. Ajaw of all people having more voice lines than Capitano doesn't make any sense if we were to believe he is important
comparing a secretive 1st harbinger to a yapping dinosaur isn't exactly a fair comparison. I always use the "If you remove their voices, would you still enjoy the story" approach so without capitano talking at all shit would be boring, but if ajaw would stop, it might ruin a small bit of comedy, but if anything, would be better.
those "???" lines are multiple different people and the one with highest voicelines has 50 lines. capitano isnt integral to the story at all, hes just a decaying corpse looking for revenge. in the 5.3 archon quest he will meet ronova, tell her some sad shit then die and will be forgotten after the quest. rip lol

I really hope he gets to be playable because not only he is cool AF, but his backstory, musical theme, everything about this character really looks to be amazing. Not only that, natlan already have too many female characters, with kinich and ororon being the only male characters released so far
The unkown person could also be the same as who is blurred in the Pyro gemstone. We see multiple examples of a certain characters' name in the Natlan quests being censored in the text, but I have no idea if these have any connection at all
Your theory is sound man, I don’t think they are gonna add a new character to the story this late in, and even if they add someone new, they wouldn’t be playable for a long time, hoyo will never release a character without any build up just like that, if they did that iaam take my 2 faith points somewhere else!
While I don't think Columbina is gonna be playable, I *do* think she's going to be the second weekly boss added to the region. The Harbinger Wheel implies that she's next on the list after Capitano, and it would make sense for the Angel character to expand upon the Angel lore (seelies) that we got in the Night Kingdom. I think we'll learn more about that world building with her boss battle, and it'll probably be Capitano's Story Quest when he releases.
I think they gatekeeping her to be playable just in snezhnaya but I really think she would appear in natlan tho, even more if all the many leaks with pictures of capitano’s tomb and all get confirmed she will definitely show up, he would probs send someone to take the gnosis, or the tsaritsa maybe since his objective now is saving natlan there should be someone to take it. This makes no sense. If you actually click on the quests, you can see "The Captain" have dialogue, then "???" have dialogue, and then BACK to "The Captain" having dialogue.
It's probably because of that weird grey aura that both Capitano an Columbina cannot be released in Natlan. It's a form of power similar to Nightsoul but it's the power of the cryo region so they have to be released in that region with it's separate mechanics. I feel like Nightsoul and the cryo mechanic are going to somehow clash with each other since they look so similar but opposites.
People freaking out about him not being playable don’t remember multiple occurrences when characters came out of nowhere. Like, no one knew about Wanderer or even Lan Yan wasn’t leaked until quite a bit later. He’s 100% playable in my mind it would just be unwise to not make him so.
I think there's a decent possibility Capitano will come with us to Snezhnaya with the final gnosis, to maybe join the Harbingers or just get a solid meeting in place with Bronya *cough* the Tsaritsa. I feel like him being playable is almost a guarantee. I hope so, at least.

I disagree with the idea that Columbina wont be playable in Natlan. Or at the very least I disagree that she wont have her story and become a weekly boss (similar to Signora) during the Natlan region. The reason why I say this is because the Wayob and the Seelies are all connected to the Night Kingdom and Columbina shares similar designs to the Seelies and Wayobs, and has the exact same story references that the Wayob do... The second reason is the fact that Natlan will probably progress Arlechino's story quest, where The Doctor will most likely use her flames to burn Irminsul, however we know that Columbina is also involved with The Doctor in some way, so she might play a relevant role in the burning of Irminsul Also, even though I believe these leaks, since they were provided by 2 reliable leakers, I doubt that the order in which they will be released is correct, since we havent had any specific details be shared by any leaker about what comes after 5.3. No reliable leaker as mentioned if there will be a new region in 5.4 or beyond, what region it will be and where is it located, what will be the main events of the next 5.X updates and other similar details that tells us what the future updates are about... To put it into perspective, when 4.0 dropped we already knew the entire roster for Fontaine and what characters would be released during what patch (except for Sigewine and Chiori). We knew already that in 4.6 we would get Arlechino's story quest and the underwater region...

People need to realise that Capitano isn't even confirmed to not die. His last dialogue this patch made it seem like he was gonna sacrifice himself to save others. Also, while Arlecchino has a vision, she canonically also possess a delusion and her innate fire powers inherited as a descendant of the crimson moon dynasty (hence why her fire is crimson red and more unique compared to other pyro users).

He was desperate, because he wanted to accomplish something that's worth the risk. Everyone in snezhnaya, including the harbingers (Scaramouche, Childe, Arlecchino) fully respected Capitano. He may be that too tall, I'm sure the devs would think about it, so please be patient.
For those who keep saying Columbina will be playable is actually kinda blurry to me, since she's been around in snezhnaya at the release of the trailer "Winter nights lazzo". We don't know her skill abilities and her main weapon choice. She may have the hints in some dialogues of the story, but that doesn't mean that she is going to appear anytime soon, because... she's not there. Let's all just wait until we get another announcement
There's no way that Capitano won't be playable or even be unavailable in Natlan.
His crucial part in Natlan and the recent archon quests is a sure way idea that he'll be playable in Natlan at some point. Same thing that happened to every harbinger. Signoria was the only one to come and go in the archon quest like Dainslief, which eventually kept up with her in his demise.

No way Capitano only has 23 voice lines in 5.3 given how the devs themselves mentioned that he is integral to the story. Ajaw of all people having more voice lines than Capitano doesn't make any sense if we were to believe he is important
comparing a secretive 1st harbinger to a yapping dinosaur isn't exactly a fair comparison. I always use the "If you remove their voices, would you still enjoy the story" approach so without capitano talking at all shit would be boring, but if ajaw would stop, it might ruin a small bit of comedy, but if anything, would be better.
those "???" lines are multiple different people and the one with highest voicelines has 50 lines. capitano isnt integral to the story at all, hes just a decaying corpse looking for revenge. in the 5.3 archon quest he will meet ronova, tell her some sad shit then die and will be forgotten after the quest. rip lol

The unkown person could also be the same as who is blurred in the Pyro gemstone. We see multiple examples of a certain characters' name in the Natlan quests being censored in the text, but I have no idea if these have any connection at all

While I don't think Columbina is gonna be playable, I *do* think she's going to be the second weekly boss added to the region. The Harbinger Wheel implies that she's next on the list after Capitano, and it would make sense for the Angel character to expand upon the Angel lore (seelies) that we got in the Night Kingdom. I think we'll learn more about that world building with her boss battle, and it'll probably be Capitano's Story Quest when he releases.
I think they gatekeeping her to be playable just in snezhnaya but I really think she would appear in natlan tho, even more if all the many leaks with pictures of capitano’s tomb and all get confirmed she will definitely show up, he would probs send someone to take the gnosis, or the tsaritsa maybe since his objective now is saving natlan there should be someone to take it.

In leaked voicelines from final AQ we seen 300+ voicelines for "???" character. I think it`s Capitano under true name. Because new name = new character in game code for voicelines obviously. No way they give him only 23 lines in final AQ. It`s absurd.
P.S. Remember what developers never do something "just cause". In 5.2 Cap already said his real name, but not full. He can`t be just "The Captain" in ALL Archon Quests. And i will never accept the way, when new character arrives in final , he will just "speak too much and get popular". It need`s to be the one, who we already known. So we just need to wait, guys. This makes no sense. If you actually click on the quests, you can see "The Captain" have dialogue, then "???" have dialogue, and then BACK to "The Captain" having dialogue.

It's probably because of that weird grey aura that both Capitano an Columbina cannot be released in Natlan. It's a form of power similar to Nightsoul but it's the power of the cryo region so they have to be released in that region with it's separate mechanics. I feel like Nightsoul and the cryo mechanic are going to somehow clash with each other since they look so similar but opposites.
There's tons of 5.3 pictures that show the weekly boss entrance is on Capitano's memorial.
People freaking out about him not being playable don’t remember multiple occurrences when characters came out of nowhere. Like, no one knew about Wanderer or even Lan Yan wasn’t leaked until quite a bit later. He’s 100% playable in my mind it would just be unwise to not make him so.
I think there's a decent possibility Capitano will come with us to Snezhnaya with the final gnosis, to maybe join the Harbingers or just get a solid meeting in place with Bronya *cough* the Tsaritsa. I feel like him being playable is almost a guarantee. I hope so, at least.

I disagree with the idea that Columbina wont be playable in Natlan. Or at the very least I disagree that she wont have her story and become a weekly boss (similar to Signora) during the Natlan region.
The reason why I say this is because the Wayob and the Seelies are all connected to the Night Kingdom and Columbina shares similar designs to the Seelies and Wayobs, and has the exact same story references that the Wayob do...
The second reason is the fact that Natlan will probably progress Arlechino's story quest, where The Doctor will most likely use her flames to burn Irminsul, however we know that Columbina is also involved with The Doctor in some way, so she might play a relevant role in the burning of Irminsul
Also, even though I believe these leaks, since they were provided by 2 reliable leakers, I doubt that the order in which they will be released is correct, since we havent had any specific details be shared by any leaker about what comes after 5.3. No reliable leaker as mentioned if there will be a new region in 5.4 or beyond, what region it will be and where is it located, what will be the main events of the next 5.X updates and other similar details that tells us what the future updates are about...
To put it into perspective, when 4.0 dropped we already knew the entire roster for Fontaine and what characters would be released during what patch (except for Sigewine and Chiori). We knew already that in 4.6 we would get Arlechino's story quest and the underwater region...

He will most likely release alongside Dain who is similar to him (that is, if he ever releases)
