... I tell my kids all the time take care of your health and your body you're going to miss your knees ...amongst other things... when they're gone someday!!
Maaaannnn, you're not lying!! I'm 49, and my husband is 46. Last night, our special needs son was at his Grandma's overnight, and we decided to engage in some much need and long overdue "adult shenanigans." The bed wasn't creeking and cracking. It was our bodies!! 😅😅 We just laughed and said, "We're getting old." 🤣🤣🤣
I had knee trauma during covid. My 2 dogs ran into my knee and hyperextended it, causing a medial meniscal tear diagnosed with MRI, I had a TKA in November 2022. I wore a knee brace before the surgery, I only had to wait 18 months and had same day surgery. Took part in a clinical trial for a new type of device. Pretty much back to normal. I went back to work a as a radiographer, a bit too soon (lots of walking). I just turned 68 and I walk lots and ride my bike when the weather is nice. Life is good!
Having a degenerative torn meniscus caused me to literally drag my leg when walking because of the pain. Having osteoarthritis added to the pain. My knee replacement resolved the problem. Great video again Docs!
Hi Doctors!! When I say that I know about meniscus tears, believe me, I know. I'm 49 and had to stop playing hockey 8 years ago after injuring my knee and having my 8th knee surgery. I'm basically bone on bone. I've had numerous cortisone injections, and my last injection was a Synvisc shot. They've all failed. I'm not ready for a knee replacement because I'm so busy with work, school, hubby, housework, etc, and my youngest son has autism and developmental delay. My knee hurts all the time, but because I've been sober for 16 years following a 5 year addiction to opiates, I only take Tylenol and Ibuprofen. My last knee surgery in 2022 was another repair of my meniscus, and I refused the pain meds. 🎉🎉🎉 Have a great week, Doctors!! ❤
Tore my ACL and meniscus playing soccer. MRI confirmed the injury. Had a second MRI several years later after another soccer injury and it revealed the first meniscus tear had healed because it was located where there was a blood supply. No more soccer, but still running and active.
I have a minor meniscus tear that was revealed by a MRI but the MRI also revealed something called Plica Syndrome. I went to the Dr because of a clicking sound in my knee as well has my knee would temporarily lock when walking up stairs or running with the result that I would fall forward . I'm 74 with normal weight and in good muscular condition but I did a lot of weight lifting and running. I stopped running in my late 50s due to pain but still weight lift but avoid exercises that would adversely effect the knee joint such a squats or leg presses. Perhaps in a future video you could discuss Plica syndrome. I enjoy the channel it strikes a good balance between being informative but also not so dry or clinical.
At 50 I quit smoking, went from doing construction to computer work, moved from Canada to the Philippines, and got fat for the first time. I got a bit of pain in my knee from sleeping on my front on a too-short bed with no support under my feet. I started high-intensity bicycling and weight lifting to lose weight, which didn't work, so I switched to running every second night, which worked great, and after a week I could already see very noticeable results! But every time I ran my knee hurt worse, and at the end of the week it hurt too badly to continue. I stopped for a few months, then started speed-walking up and down hills every second day, which also produced easily seen results in a week, but again the pain made me stop after a week, so I went to a doctor and had an MRI, and was diagnosed with a torn meniscus and a big cyst in my knee. The doctor prescribed some knee exercises, but I went to a knee surgeon, who said there was nothing to be done except to never run or do any exercise with impact or bend my knee more than 90 degrees, ever again for the rest of my life. Which was exactly what I didn't want to hear the most. My research said that the part of the meniscus in the middle was too thin to have blood vessels and so could not heal, but the thicker part around the outside could, and it looked to me in the MRI that the meniscus was blown out around the outside, so I rested it as much as possible for over a year to let it heal as much as possible. I haven't had any pain in it since a month after the MRI, about nine years now, and lately I've been playing a bit of badminton occasionally so I could have some physical activity to share with the kids, even though it involves impact. So far so good, no knee pain. Now I'm 60 and I'm still fat, 185 pounds when I should be 155, and I hate it. I want to start low-impact dance exercise, but I haven't been able to motivate myself to do it.
Check out the research they’re doing at OHSU in Oregon regarding meniscus tears. I don’t know the ins and outs, but from what it sounds like, they are replacing the meniscus with a synthetic material rather than repairing it. And it’s had a very high success rate. I think I’m going to wait for that option! It’s in human trial stage now.
Mine healed and I'm in my 60s, I had a MRI to confirm it was torn. I had pain in the knee and my knee would pop when I went up stairs. I started taking proteolytic enzymes like Serrapeptase and Nattokinase, it was actually a blend of all the different enzymes and I added Nattokinase. Also I have a clean diet and stay away from processed and junk food, low sugar and stay away from sodas, that may have contributed to it healing on it's on. I also take a variety of other supplements, not a lot of them everyday but maybe 2 or 3 times a week. Also at the time I was taking a Organic Sea Kelp powder that strangely enough helped it heal I think.
Love you guys! As a retired CRNA I would have loved doing cases with you both….if you are as ‘nice’ in the OR! Never heard of a Nanoscope but you will put Anesthesia services out of business😮
I have several tears I my meniscus and arthritis. Seems Dr.’s don’t provide any real alternative until you’re crippled. I’m 61, active, paddle board, Mt. Bike, dirt bike, hike, gym, yoga, split wood etc. I do my physical therapy exercises. Seems I tear just walking; step on a pebble, roll an ankle, and tear the meniscus more. Many years ago, I started having pain in my knee, so I went to a knee surgeon with all my Transient Osteoporosis info, since the symptoms matched. The surgeon ignored this and said, without doing an MRI or any other test, “You’ve torn up all the cartilage in your knee! What did you do?” When I said I hadn’t done anything but that I had a history of TO, he started yelling, demanding that I tell him what I had done, so I told him I would make something up if he wanted but that he really should consider TO since I had a history of it. He yelled some more, and finally told me he would see me in a month when he got back from his vacation. When I saw him again, I had recovered (in addition to being quite rare and painful, TO is self-limiting) and he got me out of his office as soon as he could. The moral of the story? Do your research, know your own body and medical history, and sometimes there really is a good reason for a malpractice lawsuit.
Roughly, two years ago, I injured my knee while hiking. I was able to continue with the hike, and I have a physical labor job that I have continued with since then without any visit to the doctor. I assumed it was healing on its own until this past year when I began waking up from time to time because of pain. I had an MRI a few months ago and was told that I have severe arthritis and a torn-up meniscus and probably need a knee replacement. I am meeting with a surgeon next month. I am not too excited about a knee replacement, so I am planning to retire in 6 months (I'm 68) because my knee always feels better when I have some days off. I will see how things go after a year of retirement before any surgery.
I had a bad fall off a broken curb and came down hard on my left knee. I was unable to weight bear for a few weeks and suffered terrible pain. The X-rays showed I had severe arthritis in the knee but I was living with it and going to the gym 5 days a week. After a few weeks I was able to walk but couldn’t use a stationary bike at the gym any longer. Long story short, after arguing with my doctor I insisted on having an MRI which showed I had a torn meniscus and had destroyed the ACL ligament as well as the severe arthritis. I had to have a total knee replacement and my ACL repaired.
I had a bucket handle tear repaired in the last year. My symptoms were 10 years in the making. It may have been torn that long? I don’t know. Symptom 1: My knee would lock up when I went into certain positions. Sitting criss-cross type positions. Getting out from under my car or motorbike in the garage. Putting a lot of pressure the crouched knee. Getting up from a very crouched position. Maybe once a year, it would catch and I couldn’t straighten my knee. I’d force it and it would “click back”. Knee functioned just fine after a second or two of terrifying pain. Over the last decade the occurrence increased. To the most recent year it maybe happened 3 times. The 4th time it happened? Knee would not click back. It was stuck. Required surgery. Symptom 2: During the last year while riding my motorcycle, I felt a weird sensation in the knee as I’d go over bumps and it acted as a shock absorber. I wouldn’t call it pain. But a sort of sharp sensation that I assume was contact in the knee joint through the tear. In hindsight, that should have prompted me to finally go to a specialist. But I ignored it because everything worked well. How well? I rode motorcycles. I could run / jog. Heck, I was doing 5ks for a long time, likely with a tear. There was no physical problem outside the occasional lock up and a weird sensation. I chalked it up to my having a hereditary “trick knee” that my father used to talk about. In hindsight, I’ve put on a bit of weight in my later years and haven’t stopped doing the stuff I always have. Probably put more pressure on the thing as it was getting older too (I just turned 55). I’m 6’3, 250, big guy. What sealed the deal was moving to Florida and installing a new dryer in the house. I was crouched to the max in a tight space hooking up the gas line. When I went to stand up, pop, knee would not go back straight. The meniscus tear was finally large enough that a piece folded into the knee joint and would not come out. My knee was in otherwise good shape. Rather than cut the meniscus out, the surgeon opted to repair it. And while I definitely prefer that solution, it’s not the easier road to go. Everything is working well. But I know that knee is there everyday. Going down steps it constantly reminds me. I’ve tried getting back to the jogging, but I think it’s the mountain bike from here on out. Which I still struggle to do a full revolution on the pedals while standing. There’s a point in the knee that still does’t like it. And interestingly, it always hurts in the places that weren’t repaired. I have anchors in the meniscus holding it to the bone. But it’s the opposite side, the back, the incision areas that tend to bark at me. It’s just weird. It’s getting better and better over time. Which causes me to question, should I have had it repaired before it folded over? What if I had gone to the doctor? Would the treatment option have been that much different? Was going as long as I could on it the better option than having surgical intervention and dealing with the fall out many years sooner? I don’t know. I’m just glad to have a working leg under me now. Because the injury and post op recovery made life extremely difficult! Take care of your health everyone. It’s your greatest asset.
Had surgery for right knee torn meniscus 4 yrs ago and left knee torn meniscus last year. I’ve done all the injections hoping for some pain relief. Both knees are severely arthritic and waiting for knee replacement since last October. Thankfully it’s coming October 2. I wish I hadn’t waited so long. Hopefully 2nd one won’t be so long. I’ve only heard good things about knee replacement. I just want to walk my dog again.
when i tore mine , i just was unable to walk full stop , mine was a lateral tear i fell down two steps ! and i had a knee replacement six months later ! my god i have never felt pain like it my knee just locked ! it was so painful ! yes i had lots of tests arthroscopy, i had arthritis. and my lateral cartilage had locked the joint ! so it was a complete knee replacement. six weeks later i back walking thankfully !
In February 2024, three months post total hip arthroplasty, this 79 year-old idiot walked out on his driveway during a snow storm to bring in the trash barrel - and fell on the ice! Hip was fine. Ankle and knee, not so much. The podiatrist dealt with the ankle - temporary brace and PT. It's now fine. My Physiatrist diagnosed a torn meniscus: X-Ray to rule out fractures or arthritis, but "clicking" from manipulation pointed to the cartilage tear. MRI confirmed. More PT. Lot's of walking. Surgery NOT recommended. Living with it. Thanks for another great and informative video telling the story of my life! LOL.
6 yrs ago I had a partial left knee replacement. During the first few weeks of recovery, my right knee was so painful, the meds for my knee replacement didn't help. So 8 weeks after my k ee replacement, I had meniscus surgery. Now next Tuesday I'm having knee replacement on that knee, hoping it's a partial too.
Been there, done that, had the surgery. Chondromalacia patella on top of it. Been pretty good for 20 years, now Arthur Itis had entered the chat and he sucks.
I’m 63. Have torn meniscus, ruptured bakers cyst, arthritis, degenerative cartilage. In construction for 45 yrs. Would like to work to 67. Everything works great but this stupid knee. Don’t want to cook my liver. Getting old is a shitshow.
Good knees. Sitting on my butt on the floor working on some base boards. Twisted my body to leverage myself for standing up. No pain. All's well...until about an hour later. P.A.I.N! All of these symptoms. Difficulty walking. Clean X-Ray (bones). Heating pad day and nght. No meds. Knee brace. One month later and it's 95 % better. PT today says to exercise carefully, do not 'plant and twist' at the knee(s).
I had meniscus tears both sides, had surgery to repair at age 70, then I got arthritis in the knee which hurt worse than the tears ever did. My primary doctor sent me for PT and after 2 years of religiously doing the exercises I finally had muscle definition in my quads and could sleep through the night without the pain waking me up. I’m in great shape otherwise, but that inner quad is tough to keep strong, really have to focus on it.
I was triming a tall hedge and the ladder fell. I was watching a movie in a theater, and I couldn't straighten my leg. It was locked bent. I had surgery. 30 years ago.
It was easy for me to know that I had a torn meniscus - I would walk everyday from the Port Authority bus terminal to my office in Rockefeller Center, and I’d have to stop every half-block and almost weep with pain! I had been playing volleyball, and even my own adult children said, “aren’t you a little old for that?” The surgery was easy though, and I barely had any pain. Unlike my thyroid cancer surgery, and my FOUR heart ops!
I'm going with #3, degenerative meniscus tear due to long distance running. Started running at age 12, at age 50 began to develop pain on the inside part of both knees. Didn't hurt when I walked, but flared every time I tried to run. Ice and NSAIDs didn't help. Went for the MRI, underwent surgery on each knee, about 6 months apart. Dr. said I could start running after 6 weeks, but that was way too soon. It was about 8 months before I could stand from a squat with absolutely no pain. At age 56, I don't know how I'm running again with 70% of each medial meniscus gone, but I did 9 miles two days ago.
Trauma, no trauma. Pain, no pain. My knee feels fine - it must be in terrible shape! Just kidding. This is good info - particularly in the realm of "what to do about it?"
@@TalkingWithDocs I had an avulsion fracture to the PCL as the result of a car crash that has reduced my knee function considerably. There is some info out there but I like your videos because they are informative and conversational. Thank you and keep up the good work.
I tore my meniscus just standing and turning around. Had it “repaired” by orthoscopic (sp?) and afterwards my Dr. explained that I have, in his words, severe arthritis in the knee. According to him there is nothing that can be done aside from anti-inflammatory and pain medication. When I inquired about knee replacement I was told I would have to loose 40 lbs. first. That’s fine but in order to lose weight I need to exercise but I can’t exercise because my knee hurts a lot. Dieting has gotten me a little of the way but there is no way I am going to be able to lose another 30. To say that I’m frustrated is an understatement. Any suggestions? I’m 69 years young by the way. Thanks.
Go to another doctor. There are some that won't make you lose the weight first. I've lost 15lbs just with increased mobility since my replacements. And now I'm starting to focus on what I eat too. I was using food to cope with pain before surgery. Now that I don't have pain, I'm starting to eat better. (Now that I'm 1 & 8 months out from surgery.)
Try alternate day fasting, works for me. You can eat anything you want on the day you eat but the next day when you fast you eat nothing, I mean nothing, except maybe some Gator Aid. Your food bill goes to half, your dirty dishes get reduced to half, I half lost ten pounds per month, The problem comes when you need to go on a maintenance diet once your target weight is reached. There are a number of strategies, one is OMAD one meal a day, another is 5 and 2 I haven't reached my target weight yet so I not sure which maintenance strategy will work for me. Give it a try, what other diet lets you loose weight while eating anything you want, and still loose weight? Good luck.
Hi im 46 and cycle 7000 miles a year so not over weight ive now be diagnosed with tri compartment osteoarthritis started having cortisone injections however they only last a couple of months have you got any advice/exercises to relieve the pain/discomfort
Could it be a tear if I can still walk and pull weight it’s just a little uncomfortable and the pain has been getting a little better not really much of a sharp pain kinda dull and more feels like a ache
Tore mine simply walking heard and felt it tear from the root. Have had 2 surgeries since that now they say I need to have a partial knee replacement..and my right leg hurts now cuz of putting my weight on it
Been having pain on the inside part on both knees for awhile and 2 days ago I was getting of my semi and as I turned I felt a pop on my left knee that I couldn't put any weight on it
Dear talking with docs hi my name is Rachel Grant and I want to know can a meniscus tear causes pain on the side of the left knee and it goes from the left side of the knee to the back of the left knee from Rachel Grant
mine was damaged last year when porch stair collapsed under me straight down on left knee 3 feet soreness comes and goes but a p.a. suggested getting zoned a rest for 3 or 4 days probably should have looking back maybe get second opinion foot slipper going down stairs probably tweaked sore last week or so i live in an old mcmansion so has many stairs basement to second floor
But. My husband 73 - has a pacemaker. Therefore cannot have an MRI. He has mild-moderate arthritis but not knee replacement worthy yet. He’s been suffering for 6-7 months. Had X-rays - ultrasounds - CT scans all show ‘not much’. He’s done everything he can - had a shot (worked for a week?) done physio - tried an osteopath - bought an exercise bike and is diligent with that - ices it constantly - takes anti inflammatories - but he’s repeatedly dismissed with “it’s arthritis”!! Out of the blue - one day - arthritis. No Dr seems to want to scope his knee to be sure or seek a diagnosis. So what do we do ? Head stateside and try there ? It’s pretty sad.
Interesting he has so much pain and the scan shows "not much" in the way of osteoarthritis. If you can afford it, and he's really in pain, a trip to the US might be worthwhile. If you do, I'd suggest picking a top orthopedic place. A web search will give you choices.
@@disqusrubbish5467 We had a CT scan in NY - wait was so long here. When he saw a surgeon here - they still wanted a Canadian scan - so back to waiting for that and then they just said arthritis - can’t see meniscus on scan or xray typically - so back to square one. He is readily dismissed - age’ism?
I only have pain in back of my knee while I walk after about 5mins. Before that i feel so ok! For so long time i was told that its because of my herniated disk. But recently in an mri i was told that its meniscus. But i can do every thing with my knee and my leg. Except walking! Is this normal?
When I'm sitting down and start raising my foot while bending at the knee, my knee starts to hurt at around the 45 degree mark and only hurts around that mark. It doesn't hurt until I get to that 45 degree point, nor after passing that point until my leg is straightened out. Any ideas on what that 45 degree-only pain could be?
About 2.5 years ago, I heard a crack in my knee when I stepped into a pit with my leg straight. The pain was intense but lasted only about 10 seconds. That same day, I often felt my knee giving way while walking. Since then, I've experienced pain during and after exercising. I dont really know exactly where the pain is but I feel like its a bit in the middle of my knee. Does anyone know what it could be or if it could be a meniscus tear?
When my knee was out of its socket turns out my meniscus was torn and was called a bucket handle tear. So there is some left but have holes around it. Does that make sense?
I had a knee fracture in July (trauma from jumping), did a CT SCAN instead of an MRI, which didn’t diagnose the meniscus, so we treated the fracture only. Recently went for a follow up (for the fracture) but noticed all along that I may also have a torn meniscus since I have all the symptoms you discussed (right from the beginning, however dr decided to focus on fracture first) so I took an injection last week, didn’t do anything for the tenderness and pain, I also have a problem when I move my knee where the underside of it hurts as I walk, climb stairs etc. dr suggested Gel to fill the gap, or ultimately a knee replacement 😭 what’s your opinion on Gel? I hope it doesn’t end up being a major surgery ETA: I also have osteoarthritis in most of my joints including my knees😭
For last few days I have been facing some pain in my right knee like when I put press to straight it I feel pain or when I try to twist it I feel pain, I normally walk 6km and recently I have walked 2km with 30kg of weights(was trying to my hometown and rn I am in my hometime)
Surgery coming up for mine. Unbearable random pain in different knee positions and accelerator pain while driving. Have a drawer full of topical pain creams that don’t help. Have a tens machine that helps temporarily. Arthritis is a contributing factor too🙄
@ Thanks for asking😊 Three months after surgery, and my knee is still painful, especially at night. Throbs like crazy! I use pain cream almost every day. I can’t kneel on the floor or bend my knee back all the way either. Don’t know if that is typical, or just my experience.
@elizabethwhite4305 Honestly, I would say worse because it is pretty constant now, and is mostly on the inside of my knee. Maybe I need to rest it more, I don't know. Have you had the surgery?
All you people talking about having a torn meniscus but your jogging, hiking, bike riding, playing pickle ball..? WTF... I wouldnt t hink of doing that in my condition.. I must be fucked.. getting an MRI in few weeks... but you guys have it made
My lab saw a squirrel when we were walking. I felt pain and it continued for weeks. I had it repaired. IT TORE AGAIN. How do I know? I would get a loud popping sound now and then, difficulty walking in the grocery store, stairs were not an option. It all returned. I got on Facebook and asked my friends if their meniscus tore a 2nd time after surgery. My older cousin said he has had his repaired 3 times! I don’t want surgery again. So now I have hip and back pain, too.
There was a comedian who had a line about “You know you’re getting old when sleeping injures you”. 😂
Right 😆
I've noticed that🙄...

Great video very informative
Great breakdown, thank you!
I definitely got a torn meniscus
Informative. Thank you
Good qdvice. Same for back. Don't twist at all, esp.😮 when u first get up .
Remember, surgeons live to operate. Don't let them use u. They like doing what they learned to do
Yup! Both sides!
Oh no!
I was triming a tall hedge and the ladder fell. I was watching a movie in a theater, and I couldn't straighten my leg. It was locked bent. I had surgery. 30 years ago.
I had trauma pulling a hospital bed up a steep slope.
I had injections but they didn't work.
So had to have a TKR. Great fun.
What is that?
It was easy for me to know that I had a torn meniscus - I would walk everyday from the Port Authority bus terminal to my office in Rockefeller Center, and I’d have to stop every half-block and almost weep with pain! I had been playing volleyball, and even my own adult children said, “aren’t you a little old for that?” The surgery was easy though, and I barely had any pain. Unlike my thyroid cancer surgery, and my FOUR heart ops!
Admire your stamina!! God bless!! (aa)
@@MichaelHoggard Thanks! I don’t have a choice.
I do in both knees. Fun fun. 😂
TRAUMA, PAIN AND Lack of movement was a hint !
I slipped, got an mri have a small tear. Got a cortisone shot and it did nothing 😞😞
Trauma, no trauma. Pain, no pain. My knee feels fine - it must be in terrible shape! Just kidding. This is good info - particularly in the realm of "what to do about it?"
I tore mine from the root simply walking..now it's hard to kneel, squat, have to take the stairs one at a time going down
Can you do a video about the PCL?
We can add it to the list. It is not that important for most function though
@@TalkingWithDocs I had an avulsion fracture to the PCL as the result of a car crash that has reduced my knee function considerably. There is some info out there but I like your videos because they are informative and conversational. Thank you and keep up the good work.
I feel sick I’ve just come back to football after a meniscus and ACL repair and I think I’ve torn it again
Not sure if you cover this in another video, but, is there something that can be done to restore your bones?
Is Dr. zalzal okay? I notice he been a little overly sensitive lately. 🙈
Good luck.
@@seanwalsh999unfortunately I am also a diabetic so not eating isn’t an option, but thanks just the same 👍
Swim!!
Hi im 46 and cycle 7000 miles a year so not over weight ive now be diagnosed with tri compartment osteoarthritis started having cortisone injections however they only last a couple of months have you got any advice/exercises to relieve the pain/discomfort
Ouch!
WHAT do you recommend we do at home until you can get in to see specialist? Heard the ICE comment and a brace. What kind of brace?
Could it be a tear if I can still walk and pull weight it’s just a little uncomfortable and the pain has been getting a little better not really much of a sharp pain kinda dull and more feels like a ache
You all need to learn to grow new knee tissue that can just be inserted and secured so we don't have so much pain.
Tore mine simply walking heard and felt it tear from the root. Have had 2 surgeries since that now they say I need to have a partial knee replacement..and my right leg hurts now cuz of putting my weight on it
It be like that
“Put those fries in the bag”, alright I trust you boomers
i hurts rn i cant move it. i dont want to move it im in to much pain
My knee had a click when i moved it back and forth. Also pain and then surgery.
Can we talk bro
Been having pain on the inside part on both knees for awhile and 2 days ago I was getting of my semi and as I turned I felt a pop on my left knee that I couldn't put any weight on it
Dear talking with docs hi my name is Rachel Grant and I want to know can a meniscus tear causes pain on the side of the left knee and it goes from the left side of the knee to the back of the left knee from Rachel Grant
Don't have any Meniscus left to get torn.
Probably a stupid question, but would something like stem cell therapy be able to repair a torn or worn out meniscus in older age?
So very limited evidence. There is some evidence for PRP being helpful in certain types of tears
@@TalkingWithDocsThank you. I’ve learnt something today, as I always thought Stem cell therapy was a bit different from PRP.
I dont know if i torn or tear my meniscus but i went to the emergency room and they said i tear meniscus and i have a really bad pain in my left knee
mine was damaged last year when porch stair collapsed under me straight down on left knee 3 feet soreness comes and goes but a p.a. suggested getting zoned a rest for 3 or 4 days probably should have looking back maybe get second opinion foot slipper going down stairs probably tweaked sore last week or so i live in an old mcmansion so has many stairs basement to second floor
What if u can’t get an mri
@@WDW77 Wow, sorry to hear that. Hope it's not ageism. But odd they wanted a Canadian scan too.
(Sorry if my english is not that good, its not my native language)
I hope it doesn’t end up being a major surgery
ETA: I also have osteoarthritis in most of my joints including my knees😭
What your age sir ?
For last few days I have been facing some pain in my right knee like when I put press to straight it I feel pain or when I try to twist it I feel pain, I normally walk 6km and recently I have walked 2km with 30kg of weights(was trying to my hometown and rn I am in my hometime)
I am 17 years old what do you think I have osteoarthritis or melsicus tear ? I little scared I don't wanna loose my knees
Surgery coming up for mine. Unbearable random pain in different knee positions and accelerator pain while driving. Have a drawer full of topical pain creams that don’t help. Have a tens machine that helps temporarily. Arthritis is a contributing factor too🙄
How you doing now
@ Thanks for asking😊 Three months after surgery, and my knee is still painful, especially at night. Throbs like crazy! I use pain cream almost every day. I can’t kneel on the floor or bend my knee back all the way either. Don’t know if that is typical, or just my experience.
@ I see the surgeon in a week and after watching videos I don’t think I’m gonna do it just some physical therapy and lose weight
@ would you say the pain got worse or better
@elizabethwhite4305 Honestly, I would say worse because it is pretty constant now, and is mostly on the inside of my knee. Maybe I need to rest it more, I don't know. Have you had the surgery?
Mine is weak when walking down stairs… like… when I’m stepping down my right leg… my left knee shakes. What is that usually?
Look of your over 30 don’t be stupid and buy a one wheel , I almost start sobbing thinking about A swollen and torn meniscus
What type of injection would be an option?
