I was told I needed a total hip replacement a couple, years ago, and did some RUclips research as to what to expect. That’s when I found them. Very reasonable, informative guys for sure.
I’m glad you mentioned that metformin is safe. I’ve been seeing a lot of adds on social media discouraging taking it for diabetes. I’ve taken it for about 20 years.
I’m prediabetic Dr prescribed it for me. I lift heavy 3x a week and run 3x a week. It’s helped with my inflammation and improved my training performance. I’m 62. I’ve found it helpful
I was struggling to have acknowledgement about a thyroid issue I was having. Even though females in my family (Grandmother, 2 aunts, female cousin, and a niece) presented with thyroid issues (causing the death of my grandmother at an early age) and had different ways of dealing with it medically through medications and surgery. Gratefully I finally had a incredible doctor come into my life and listened and was committed to finding out what the issue was for me. I am insulin resistant. I have been on Metfromin for months now (I am not a person who believes in the pop a pill and get better mindset) and what a difference I am so grateful. So for me Metformin is a blessing.
Hello good doctors. I am not one of the people tuning out when you go into the weeds with the medical jargon. I love it!! The way you guys describe things so succinctly is why I really enjoy your channel. Keep doing what you do!
Great info especially For someone like me who is on metformin for type two diabetes. I’m going on 76 years old and hopefully between the Metformin and my mother’s good genes (99 y.o.) I’ll be a lucky lady. Thanks doctors!
This was one of your best videos ever. That is high praise, because your videos are always to a high standard. Incredibly informative. Thank you for the excellent public service your videos provide. Always informative. Always entertaining.
I've faithfully taken Metformin for 15+ yrs. I'm 72 and have been a Type 2 diabetic. I'm the ideal patient to take this medication. These doctors provide many practical steps.beside medication to improve my overall health.
Wouldn’t taking metformin and longevity, be associated with optimal, blood sugar levels, so without metformin, you can just optimize your diet with real food and real ingredient to avoid unstable blood sugars overtime, which can lead to chronic inflammation mitochondrial dysfunction and oxidative stress, which is the gateway to chronic disease and metabolic syndrome.
I, unfortunately have DM2. I always thought that obese people got it. I'm slender and have a BMI of 19.4. I have no other issues...just high A1c/glucose. My doc said I likely inherited this from my mom who was diabetic...not environmental cause. I eat well, exercise daily and take metformin. It can be very frustrating!
The last few minutes were really good the rest of the video was way over my head. Thanks for sharing. Your channel is now my favourite medical health Life style source of information.
I took metformin for a few years. At the same time I was telling my primary doc about developing chronic diarrhea. She couldn’t put the two together. Later, I got a different primary who told me to try to try stopping the Metformin That was the problem. Metformin causes chronic diarrhea in some people.
Just my opinion, but that assumes no other changes going on. For me, at 66, I lost my eyesight (cataracts & macular edema) and developed perepheral neuropathy (no feeling in my feet). Blood sugar out of control. Changes I made caused severe diahrea. Metformin definitely part of that. I asked my diabetes doctor "best breakfast cereal". Answer "all bran". Had to toss my lifelong late-night snacks of sunflower seeds & popcorn (salt bad for blood pressure), so ... more bran for snacks! (dumb). Added beans to diet (green veggies =good). I'm only now thinking I need to revisit Metformin (since I've got it under control now). Next doc chat!
I am right there with you ! took it 2 weeks and i am done with it! Could not leave the house. 6 trips to the b room before lunch and 6 trips by the time in went to bed. Need to buy stock in Charmin!! LOL
Thanks for the deep dive. As a user of Metformin, I found it really interesting. Love your channel, but the new microphones don't work very well. They are too directional, so when you move your head, the volume changes. Your lapel mikes do a good job. Thanks!
Nice job. I'm glad to see that the two of you are addressing issues in contemporary medicine that have implications to the general population. I may not always agree, but it causes me to think and do my own research. Keep up the good work!
Interesting. I immediately thought "oh, like fasting". I personally don't see a problem with people living longer. And thank you for the links to the research. I wish all "health" channels would do this. (There's an obvious reason why some don't though.)
17:20 very helpful - I am post cancer, 70 yr old, my endocrinologist has recommended metformin to help with my pre diabetes - I exercise a lot and working on my diet again - was helpful to understand how the drug works and that it is not being pushed by a drug company which several other drugs recommended are
Excellent video I took metformin for a few years for the potential healthspan benefits, potential lower cancer risk and potential neuro protection as I have MS. I then stopped after my Hb dropoed 10%, b12 & folate/iron levels also dropped, and I had increased gastric reflux (i was also dairy free and mostly plant based & non processed food intake) Continue with healthy eating & go to the gym 4 times a week for strength and cardio.
Thank you, have been taking metformin for years, never any problems, type 2 diabetes. I do exercise, but at 72 starting to have back problems, harder to get to the gym. So interesting!
Another great and timely video from Dr. Paul and Dr. Brad. Metformin sounds like a great option for perhaps 2/3's of the population who simply live a poor unhealthy lifestyle of "convivence" foods and ultra palatable engineered products that for too many can be addictive, similar to tobacco and alcohol, imo. Food industry makes outrageous profits feeding humans what humans crave, "primally" speaking. Here's "Talking with Doc's" most wondaful gift to people like me: Dr. Paul to Dr. Brad: "Would you take metformin?" Dr. Brad: "No". Simple as that, and that is what I want to here, honest conversation. Lifestyle, nutrition, physical fitness = "balance", homeostasis at the molecular level and proper vibrant living at all ages. I can't tell all my peeps how the fountain of youth indeed does exist (I'm living proof), it's simply a matter of knowledge, the kind of unbiased factual knowledge Dr. Zalzal and Dr. Weening kindly share with all of us. Funny delivery as well, luv it. Thanks' Doc's, really appreciate you guys!
Agree that you shouldn’t replace lifestyle change with a pill, but for so many who can’t modify their lifestyle - like adding exercise due to physical limitations - it sounds worth strongly considering
Please do a video on fasting for health. I've been eating a plant-based diet for 15 years, so I don't need to lose weight. Additionally, for the past 10 years I eat all of my calories within an 8-10 hour window, but actual "food" (not coffee/cappuccino) in a 6-7 hour window (only eat when I'm hungry). I am interested in longevity. The book "Spring Chicken: Stay Young Forever (or Die Trying)" by Bill Gifford, though from 2016, addresses the issue and references a lot of research being done.
I have been taking Metformin for ten years for out of range A1C. Still alive, for now... :) Unfortunately, I cannot seem to improve my lifestyle choices...
I have been using Metformin for eight years! I remember the first month I had constipation, when the body adapted there was no problem! For the first three years I took 2000 mg! 1000mg in the morning, 1000mg in the evening! My diabetes is under control, normal as if I don't have diabetes! I have been using only 1000mg a day for the last 5 years! Of course, metformin can't help you if you eat like a pig! You can eat anything, but avoid fatty foods! Meat never increases my glucose! From my experience, potatoes and rice are the worst for glucose!
I've been a Type 2 diabetic for 20 years. Metformin is a step 1 drug to help manage the disease and there are a number of drugs to pair with Metformin to help lower your A1C. Ozempic is the popular one right now but there are quite a few others. Please look beyond metformin.
Eat healthy, exercise and walk a mile daily, take vitamin tabs, eat black garlic and fermented cabbage such as Sauerkraut & kimchi, take one spoon of extra virgin olive oil and apple cider vinegar, drink kefir yogurt drink, kombucha & matcha green tea and sleep well.. That's what I've done and just celebrated my 70th birthday lately. 😊
Hi! I read a book by Dr. Sinclair that said aging is a disease not necessarily from growing older per se. From my own experiences I have found that when you have a positive mental attitude, eat a plant based diet and exercise consistently, you will do well so I agree with you both that a pill is not the only way. I have done this for over 39 years and I feel younger with a BP of 100-113/ 54-57 and I am 81. I hope this helps--thanks for a great vid! :-)
I took Metformin for about 4 years, they my doctor said i had improved so much that I could stop taking it. My A1c has been 5.3 for over a year now. All my blood work is currently normal.
I am withe Dr Paul on preferring a lifestyle change to a pill. I also believe in healthy foods vs supplements. Thanks for the info on Metformin. Had never heard of it.
I always doubt whether there’s anything that can truly help us live longer, and I don’t believe in it. I think eating well and exercising are the best options. But it also depends on luck, because there are people who live a healthy lifestyle but still end up with chronic illnesses and pass away. 🥺🥺🥺🥺 Thank you for sharing, I get to know more about Metformin thanks to your video. 🍀
I live in the UK, My late wife had HER2+ breast cancer with Mets. One of the trials she participated in was oral Rapamycin. I note that some people are now saying that this drug can prolong life also.
I’m a relatively healthy 81 year old. Because my ankles and knees are wearing out, I don’t do a lot of exercising, but I do watch my weight-at 5’10”, and 172 lbs (as of this morning). My heart is good, my kidneys are marginal, and so far as I know, I have no other health issues. Although I’m a retired attorney, I keep my mind active by doing periodic arbitration for the BBB, and I keep up with the twists and turns of the law. I live alone with my dog, although recently I’ve been dating a truly wonderful lady, only slightly younger than I am. With all that background, I would be interested in a drug that simultaneously dramatically extended my life span and my health span, if it did so in a way that allowed me to age gracefully. I certainly would not want any method that allowed me to get older but with unpleasantly declining health, or with declining mental capacity-I have had too many acquaintances whose dementia frankly scares me. So would I take Metformin? Probably not, at its present stage of research. From what you’ve described, if I continue to watch my diet and otherwise watch my health, it wouldn’t be that beneficial.
I just wanted to drop a note .I'm dealing with the same cll leukemia high blood pressure and pre diabetes .however, I have not been started on metphormin. It's interesting to check into.
Yet another excellent and informative video Docs! I am a retired D.C. and my cousin is a practicing M.D. We have talked about Metformin and both agree that if one is healthy, consumes a good diet, gets appropriate sleep and exercises, there is no need to take Metformin.
My general practitioner put me on metformin back in 1992 for high glucose levels I have taken it ever since I don’t miss doses and I’m a great believer My glucose levels are always under control. I see my medical teams on a regular basis and have full examinations as needed. I am 89 years old. I do walk for some exercise, but not on a regular basis. I do watch what I eat and try to balance my food type of intakes , I know I should, but I don’t limit my sweets. I never have been on a fasting diet and at my age I think it would be detrimental.. I am a big believer in metformin , naturally always take the advice of your professional medical team.
For most of my life I was physically active and maintained a healthy weight until I tore a meniscus and subsequently developer joint pain in knees and hips in my mid-sixties. I had to give up many athletic activities and over the last 7 years put on 20 lbs which I struggle to lose without success. Needless to say, this has not helped my joints nor my mood. After watching this vidéo, I wonder if I should consider metformin when it becomes available. I’m a huge fan of your channel which is not only informative but hilarious! Keep up the great work!
Fascinating! It’s sad that studies like this struggle to get funding. Do you know if the Metformin study underway is looking at different dosage levels? I’m in my late 60s, eat a healthy diet, swim and walk regularly, and take no meds; doubtful my doc will ever prescribe this for me. Regarding the ethical aspect, it’s probably worth considering declining birth rates in many countries. Totally agree with your phrase “healthy aging”. If Metformin helps someone regain their health, then I think it’s worth it. Living forever? No, thanks.
Yes, please do a video on intermittent fasting! I started this ten months ago. I'd love to know whether there are other benefits besides weight loss, particularly since my weight loss has stalled.
Nope, not just you, two new desk stand mics as well as the clip-on mics, seemed to be a bad combination. Also, camera focus was in and out. Hopefully just a once-off.
Totally unrelated to this subject but would love to see a video on the differences between gout, pseudogout and rheumatoid arthritis. What triggers/aggravates them and what helps relieve the pain. My wife was recently diagnosed with pseudogout and we had no idea that was even a thing. Love watching all your content!
Huge Peter Attia fan here… got on metformin just over a year ago due to being “borderline pregnant”..I mean pre diabetic. 2 weeks ago A1C was 5.5. At 61 it has worked well for me. I’m very interested in Rapamycin study results too.
Was recently diagnosed with type 2. Dr immediately sent an Rx for metformin and a statin (my total cholesterol was 115 - very low so no need!). No discussion about diabetic education or testing my blood sugars. That was a red flag for me. Made an appointment with a dietitian, changed my diet completely and started exercising, losing weight, and my blood sugars are normal!! Stop feeding yourself chemicals with side effects, not all of which are good or make you live longer!
As we start discussing a medical decision or problem your videos drop suspiciously the next day! We just had A1 C results and are in the pre range so need to decide on treatment. Lifestyle has held this position stable for six years but seems not to stop gradual progression, plus family history, so on balance will go on meds with the additional aging benefits Metformin. Are you really orthopaedic doctors - this video is so good - ethics - meds - lifestyles - chemistry and humour. Keep up the good work on health education.
Don’t want to live longer. But for as long as I live, I would like to be healthy or have quality of life. Interesting about fasting. It’s found in most religious traditions….
The last few years of my nursing career, I was a diabetic educator. The endocrinologist that I worked with always said that everyone could eventually become diabetic if they lived long enough. I really enjoyed the details on how Metformin causes the liver to make make components to release energy using AMP(I'm a nerd that way). So, is this the reason that a side effect of Metformin is weight loss? Metformin has also been used for polycystic ovarian syndrom. Thanks
Would love to hear what the science says about intermittent fasting specifically for peri and post menopausal women in regards to the loss of muscle mass.
I just listened to david sinclair's podcast on this very subject. Ethically this absolutely needs to be looked into. Theres no sense in living longer if youre too ill to enjoy it so this is not just for longevity, but prevention as well. I would seriously consider taking it but would need to use something like Levels (constant monitoring) to ensure it had a positive effect - i exercise "quite vigorously" and follow a Mediterranean style diet.
"Since it's not under patent so there's no funding for this kind of research .... " Thats such a sad truth ... but someone will change the molecule slightly in a benign way and patent it again if it works for this. And as a couch potato this seems like this is a good idea. Also seems to be a better idea in the long term than the Ozempic solution is to weight loss. It sounds like this would have a better overall effect. I also don't think everyone has the internal drive or even capacity to handle their health with diet and exercise. We have become soft.
Absolutely agree, with living a healthy lifestyle over medications that can be avoided like Metformin. And yes I do, with regularity, fast several days at a time. BTW: you forgot to educate the audience on the proper spelling of Metformin.
I'm 42 and had an hba1c of 7.1 a year ago. Started walking and with controlled diet, I've brought it down to 6.3. do I need to take metformin at this stage or continue with my new diet and lifestyle?
The ethical question is a good one. Swift wrote Gulliver's Travel. One of the island was Laputa. On it, the scientists made it possible for people to live forever, but they kept on aging! So, they ended up in vegetative states without the chance of dying.
I agree with both of you. If you can exercise and fast on your own, or watch your calorie intake. Or whatever is working for you right now why would you want a pill to make you lazy. Lol people who have no range of motion or other physical disabilities I think this would be great for. Thanks once again for all the info. I look forward to your videos.👍
Wouldn’t the idea of living longer on metformin be related to stabilizing blood sugar and keep a1c at optimal levels? Insulin resistance is the gateway to chronic inflammation, mitochondrial dysfunction, and oxidative stress leading to chronic conditions, metabolic syndrome etc. even more of a reason to optimize diet by eating real food with minimal ingredients
This is not the first time that I hear about this. Thank you for the info because it appears to validate what I had heard in the past. Is there a particular dose that you would recommend?
Well yes and no. We do have some built in defenses but we would agree that the daily assault we put on our bodies because of all of the chemicals is not good
Metformin is very safe except for those of us for who it is NOT. My glucose levels were getting into the prediabetes range. I was prescribed Metformin. Almost immediately, I noticed when I urinated, the bowl look like there was a head of foam as you would see on a well poured beer. I do not have a medical background so I had no idea that is a sign of kidney damage. The PA at my doctor's office insisted the damage couldn't be due to metformin and diagnosed me with kidney disease. After 2 months, I insisted we should stop the metformin and see since the foam stated when I started metformin. Two weeks later, blood tests showed better kidney function. Two years later, my kidneys are almost back to where they were pre Metformin. I don't know if the damage caused by Metformin will ever be completely healed. So, if you see any foam in your urine after starting Metformin, please know this is a sign of kidney damage.
Metformin damaged my husband's kidneys. He is on dialysis. The renal doctor "forgot" to take him off metformin when he first got chronic kidney disease. He kept him on it right up until he was put on dialysis. Medical malpractice.
@ My (70 something woman) eGFR the day before starting metformin was in the 60s. My eGFR after two months of foamy urine and being on metformin, had declined to low 40s. After 2 years of being off metformin, it is back into the 60s. I had never had any foam prior to starting metformin. I have a little bit on occasion now, nothing like a head of beer as it was after starting metformin.
With my family history, I'm expecting to make it to at least 90. (5 out of 8 great grandparents made it to their 90's plus both grandpas.) I'm not concerned about how long I'm going to live. I know what all health concerns to expect. The only on that gives me any concern is dementia. One grandma passed at 86 from Alzheimer's, which is what her mom passed from at 96. The other grandma has dementia at 88. If there was prevention for that, I'd take it.
If my next hba1c (previous hba1c was 28 or 4.7%) is good I'm going to go off Metformin to see if i can put my diabetes into remission. I've got mixed feelings about. Satisfaction at altering my lifestyle enough to put my diabetes into remission vs the possibility of missing out on a life/health extending pill.
Personally, I would not take Metformin to extend my life but if I had Type 2 Diabetes I would. Not sure that I want to live a very long life. I've already had a full life at age 72 and believe it's up to God to decide when it's my time to pass.
Excellent video! I’m going to stick with my avoiding sugar, low salt, low red meat, high fiber, oatmeal every morning etc. diet that you guys have heard about before so I’ll shut up about it now diet. And if accepting your mortality was good enough for Gilgamesh, it’s good enough for me.
I’m reducing my oat intake (porridge, oat milk, oatcakes) after being reminded by the ‘Glucose Goddess’ that oats - being carbohydrates - are broken down to sugars. Shifting to higher protein & veggies diet, with lower carbs.
I don't see any ethical issue with taking this material for general health/lifespan improvement. It may not make sense technically, but if it worked, if it didn't cause shortages for diabetics, what's the problem? The lack of connection to a specific disease code just doesn't mean anything. If ageing suddenly was assigned a code, it would be OK? I don't agree.
My spouse takes Berberine which is a natural Metformin. His surger levels have stayed in the normal range. No need to take a drug that can cause issues.
He should probably take arsenic and cadmium since they're 100% natural. Does he take dihydrogen monoxide? The government is trying to get it pumped into every single house in the US. Crazy huh?
Who else just randomly found Talking With Docs videos one day, and have been watching ever since?! 🤷🤷🤷
Lol that's how I got hooked on watching them😂
Yes got hooked! Cute like Dr. Mike
same here

I also take Alpha Lipoic Acid over the counter. Not sure if they had anything to do with it.
Been hearing a bit about this. So glad you 2 are discussing it! Thank you!!!!
Our pleasure!
My Dr's put me on Metformin for my sugar problem last year.

Yep, I'm one of the patients that had massive side effects.

One says (around 16:00) that he uses time-restricted eating (8am to 8pm). That caught my attention!
I started metformin recently for type 2 diabetes. And even a small dose is helping with my blood sugars. 👍
Wow! I went in for a check after bloodwork and my A1C jumped. I am in the pharmacy line waiting to pick up Metformin. Trust your opinion! 🙂
It is so wonderful to get this information (all subjects) from a place that can be trusted. Thank you!!

My mom was on Metformin for years and years. They only took her off of it after she was in her late 80’s I believe. She lived to be 94.
Thanks for sharing!
Thanks doctors ❤
After listening to this cast, can you do a deep dive into berberine?
Bravo for the information, ethical consideration and long term big picture! Totally agree that lifestyle is the most powerful medicine! Thank you!

I've been a Type 2 diabetic for 20 years. Metformin is a step 1 drug to help manage the disease and there are a number of drugs to pair with Metformin to help lower your A1C. Ozempic is the popular one right now but there are quite a few others. Please look beyond metformin.
Baby steps if i can do it you can too.@TalkingWithDocs
My friend drinks beer everyday..eats badly on metformin for 10 years hes 72..he keeps goin..
Yes. Metformin has extended my mother in law's life from dying of diabetic complications aged 70 and she's now 86!
Love you guys!!!! Thanks for the information.
Thanks Docs! Great information!
Interesting topic as I have Leukemia and Type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure. Yes, I take metformin.
My general practitioner put me on metformin back in 1992 for high glucose levels
I have taken it ever since I don’t miss doses and I’m a great believer
My glucose levels are always under control.
Nice work. Thanks for sharing
Good info thank you 😊
Fascinating! No, thanks.
They are looking at 1000-2000 per day
Yes, please do a video on intermittent fasting! I started this ten months ago. I'd love to know whether there are other benefits besides weight loss, particularly since my weight loss has stalled.
My fasting routine is to eat only from 11 and 8 pm.
Me too
Great video, looking forward to one on fasting. Thank you!
Coming soon!
The sound quality is poor in this segment. Is it just me?
Nope, not just you, two new desk stand mics as well as the clip-on mics, seemed to be a bad combination. Also, camera focus was in and out. Hopefully just a once-off.
I follow you from New Zealand. So appreciate your balanced well informed content.
Great video. Thanks lads.
Our pleasure!
Ok thanks. We do have a video on just gout. 😀
@@TalkingWithDocs thanks and indeed we've watched it. 💜
Huge Peter Attia fan here… got on metformin just over a year ago due to being “borderline pregnant”..I mean pre diabetic. 2 weeks ago A1C was 5.5. At 61 it has worked well for me. I’m very interested in Rapamycin study results too.
Very nice Todd
Great discussion!
Thanks!
I enjoy your videos and want to thank you for the time and effort you put into them.
Very nice. Congrats
Try berberine and apple cider vinegar to see if that is enough. If not go for metformin
Great review docs. Have you made a how to fast video yet?
Please compare Metformin with Jardiance... Pro and Con... Thank You!!
We will add it to the list
Don’t want to live longer. But for as long as I live, I would like to be healthy or have quality of life. Interesting about fasting. It’s found in most religious traditions….
Thanks
Wow thanks knobby! Appreciate you
The last few years of my nursing career, I was a diabetic educator. Thanks
The key to lowering blood sugar with me was 2 glasses of water in the morning. 2 after lunch , 2 about 3 hours before bed.
I agree "I don't like replacing a lifestyle modification with a pill".
You will live forever if you simply get up every morning, and never break the pattern. The trick, of course, is never breaking the pattern.
Ha! Good one.
Does this mean big pharma will charge more for it?
They can’t 😀
Funny and informative. Great combo. Thanks!
Would love to hear what the science says about intermittent fasting specifically for peri and post menopausal women in regards to the loss of muscle mass.
It’s on our list. Same issue for ozempic - it’s not just fat loss but some lean mass
Are you able to exercise when fasting? doesn't one start losing muscle mass then?
"Since it's not under patent so there's no funding for this kind of research .... " Thats such a sad truth ... but someone will change the molecule slightly in a benign way and patent it again if it works for this. And as a couch potato this seems like this is a good idea. Also seems to be a better idea in the long term than the Ozempic solution is to weight loss. It sounds like this would have a better overall effect. I also don't think everyone has the internal drive or even capacity to handle their health with diet and exercise. We have become soft.
We have become weak for sure. Time will tell about ozempic for sure but it’s done a lot of good early
Absolutely agree, with living a healthy lifestyle over medications that can be avoided like Metformin. And yes I do, with regularity, fast several days at a time. BTW: you forgot to educate the audience on the proper spelling of Metformin.
What is the proper spelling? It is a generic drug, so it should not be capitalized
I'm 42 and had an hba1c of 7.1 a year ago. Started walking and with controlled diet, I've brought it down to 6.3. do I need to take metformin at this stage or continue with my new diet and lifestyle?
Congrats! Depends on a host of factors. Keep it going but worth a chat with your doc
Thank you! I’ll always choose a good lifestyle before pills- heard that exercise is a better way to reduce pre diabetes from developing into diabetes…
The ethical question is a good one. Swift wrote Gulliver's Travel. One of the island was Laputa. On it, the scientists made it possible for people to live forever, but they kept on aging! So, they ended up in vegetative states without the chance of dying.
Oh yeah. Love these doctors.
Is berberine the natural version of metformin?
It’s a natural substance that is similar. Not exactly the same and not as effective but the research is somewhat limited
I believe living a healthy life is more important than living longer. Longevity is wonderful but being healthy is even better.
We agree
This is not the first time that I hear about this. Thank you for the info because it appears to validate what I had heard in the past. Is there a particular dose that you would recommend?
You should do an episode on flatulence (farts) . What it is ? What causes it and how to stop or reduce it ?
Stop eating broccoli.☺
Consider trying reduced lactose intake. Bloating & wind / farts are common sign of sensitivity.
Can you do a review on breathing correctly to improve your health?
Healthful food, intermittent fasting, exercise, and good sleep do what metformin does without side effects. Good discussion anyway.
Thanks for the info and thanks for watching.
human body was never designed to process chemicals......
So kidney disease can cause foamy urine due to protein but metformin is not associated with this or known to cause this. Glad you are ok
We’re here because you’re smart!
thats awesome to hear what are your thoughts on the Carnivore diet for someone thats type 2 diabetic
the doc on the left left handed? maybe you might want to switch spaces? lol. Love your show! Great info!
I was told that I must eat three meals because I’m type two diabetic does that mean I can’t do fasting?
Not necessarily.
You could still have three meals within a time-restricted eating type of fasting: one of them mentions he uses this.
Thank you you’re the best Doctors ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
With my family history, I'm expecting to make it to at least 90. (5 out of 8 great grandparents made it to their 90's plus both grandpas.) I'm not concerned about how long I'm going to live. I know what all health concerns to expect. The only on that gives me any concern is dementia. One grandma passed at 86 from Alzheimer's, which is what her mom passed from at 96. The other grandma has dementia at 88. If there was prevention for that, I'd take it.
Sensible for sure
At 3:25 of the video, you guys put in a video of someone using a CGM with a reading of 1.9 mmol/l. That's very low and could very well be fatal.
Hi, I would like to know more about rouleaux formation. Have you made a video about this? If so, where can I find it?
We haven’t but can add it to the list for sure
My spouse takes Berberine which is a natural Metformin. His surger levels have stayed in the normal range. No need to take a drug that can cause issues.
Metformin is derived from the plant Galega officinalis, also known as goat's rue or French lilac.
It is similar, but not the same as metformin. It also has the sheriff side effects, but glad that it’s working for your husband.
He should probably take arsenic and cadmium since they're 100% natural. Does he take dihydrogen monoxide? The government is trying to get it pumped into every single house in the US. Crazy huh?
