    Kove 450 Rally 1500 mile review. No news is good news! The Kove is a quality bike and is proving to be reliable thus far. I only have a few minor gripes but most can be addressed. Watch the video go further info amongst a lot of “ums” and “ah’s”

    Thanks for this 1500mi review. Just the kind of info I want to know. Decided I'm getting the Kove. Hopefully picking it up next month. Gonna keep my KLX 300 too, for the time being. Planning to do the AZ BDR on the Kove in the spring.

    Same thing happened on my stock clamps - threads got buggered.
    Bought two sets of extra clamps for the exhaust during oil changes.
    The clamps are different sizes and a consumable item.
    Check and replace as needed.
    Good reviews, keep it up!

      I've done 5 oil changes, no issue with the exhaust clamps. Mine seem very durable.

      Honda CB500x. I used it for a three month wild camping trip this summer, mostly around Scandinavia. I know it’s not great for off-roading but it was good enough for forest roads.
      I did 13,000 miles and the only maintenance was an oil change and tyres.
      When I got home I spent a day cleaning it up and it looks like new again, ready for next summers adventures 🙂🇬🇧✌🏻

    FYI, next time you’ll run out of fuel tip the bike over to the left side for five minutes fuel will find his way to the pick up point and you should have at least another 10 miles

      Thank you so much for the kind words! You’re going to love your Kove. Kove Moto USA has all the parts available. You just email what you want and they send an invoice over.

    awesome -- so much useful stuff in this video. I've had mine for just 8 days now, and totally love it so far. But my fuel is showed "low" after just 80 miles, which was basically my first ride home from the UK importer. i went the long way because NEW BIKE DAY. Didn't get a chance to ride it again until today, and when i started up the gauge showed about 1/8th of a tank. So not bleating for fuel. But the low fuel warning came back on pretty quick. Logically it sounds consistent with venting issues, so how do i fix that? Sorry if this is answered elsewhere in your back catalog. i just subbed and will check there now. please keep the content coming!

      Thank you for your kind words. I think you’ll really fall in love with the bike like I have. That’s the same symptoms I had initially. Start by removing the charcoal canister. There’s a video on the Kove North American Facebook page on how to do it. Next, instead of the T-hose on the caps, individually vent the tanks. There is also a suggestion to cut the rubber gasket on the backside of the fuel caps to allow them to vent better. These have eliminated the false fuel reading and the gauge appears to be accurate now. Thank you for the sub!! 🤙

    You said you have a leak at your head gasket correct? Do you think this is a bolt tightness issue? I know Chuck Harder and those guys had a Kove that was leaking at the oil cooler and I think they just had to tighten a bolt

    • @DirtByk
      @DirtByk  7 месяцев назад

      I tried just tightening the bolts on top of the valve cover and was able to put some more torque into them but it’s still gathering oil and dirt on the left side of the motor. I wasn’t able to get to one of the bolts easily so wasn’t able to tighten the one. I need to look at it again when I have it apart.

    • @matlock77
      @matlock77 7 месяцев назад

      @@DirtByk I know some motors have a tendency to breath more at the head gasket than others but certainly doesn’t seem like an issue you should be having so soon

    Q: What trail tech gadget is that? What interface kit is used to connect to the bike. thx

    • @DirtByk
      @DirtByk  5 месяцев назад

      It’s the Voyager Pro! They come with all the pieces up hook it up to your bike. It’s pretty universal using a fin sensor in the radiator for water temp, a lead that wraps around the ignition wire for rpm. You can run it off the battery, or wire it to keyed power. It can register speed via a front wheel sensor or gps speed. With most my bikes I’ll just run the speed via gps speed.

    How easy is it to get the parts for this bike ?

    • @DirtByk
      @DirtByk  6 месяцев назад +1

      The online OEM parts catalog just went live this week! Easy peasy! Plus, I specifically know nearly a dozen moto companies working on aftermarket products for the Kove. So far my bike has been rock solid after nearly 2k miles.
