It doesn't matter how much extra weight it adds compared to a single.... The sound of that raspy, mean parallel twin with 270 degree crank is the stuff of dreams. Any breathing person who enjoys riding would rather have a parallel twin, with the sound, and decreased vibration, higher RPM redline, wider usable power band, and ability to creep at below an idle speed through the woods, without any chain lash. Oh and 95 horsepower!
Kove will become a big player one day, those thoughtful options are very nice, and they listen to customers and act on it swiftly as I see in the kove 450Rally group. Sad that they haven't updated their line up yet in my country, probably just their partner here haven't renewed their deal :/.
Totally agree! They actually design bikes to the preference of riders! Everyone complained about heavy 700cc+ bikes, they made a solution! Hope you can soon get a better dealer!
update: looks like it'll be coming soon now in my country, their partner a bit meh with their pricing tho a lot higher than others, for example kove 500x here is around the same price as cb/nx500. No announcement what model they'll be bringing here tho, the kove 450rr will be coming with standard and track version. just got the 450mt from cfmoto good bike so far.
i wait your honest opinion of this bike, any problems-issues,couse this is most what everyone wants to know i think.in my country this bike comes really cheap,35% cheaper than a transalp for example.the good news is that a greek rider complete a 10000 km trip to middle east with no issues.
I'm also on 10 000km now, not one single issue, took off my throttle body recently to peek inside a little, perfectly clear. No metal shavings in the oil filter and magnet filter for 10 000km, I think that's a good sign!
Thank you very much for this review! I was waiting for months to see something in English, so really appreciated! Keep doing the good work and show us more about the bike. I am wondering what is your height as it seems perfect fit for you as well as what is the real world bike weight fulled up and with bolted accessories that you have installed. P.S. And this color scheme rocks! P.P. S. Thank you for being so quick with the responses of the comments! I already read all the important things and luckily you are just my height, so I am following and subscribing.
Thank you for the comment, glad you enjoyed it! I've been looking for English reviews myself, didn't find anything so I thought hell why not...😂 I honestly love the bike! I'm 178cm bare feet and about 180cm with my Forma boots, also all the motorcycle gear weighs quite a bit, I guess with everything including my helmet and gear I'm close to 95kg, so the suspension is really great and without any gear, just normal shoes it's really high, I can only touch the ground with my toes 🤣🤣 luckily it's so extremely light it's not a problem! My crash bars and bash plate is about 6kg extra, so filled up it's about 189-190kg! 👌🏻 it does feel like it's 170kg as the weight is right under your but...really love the centre of gravity! The shop put the bike on a scale with a full tank and it was 183.8kg to be exact(that was stock and before my extras). I'm a little busy the next month but end February and spring I'll be posting a lot of new content!👌🏻
@@Nelisjvr Thank you very much for your honest and detailed answer! Definitely, this is a bike that a lot of people are interested in and your real-life opinion will be really useful to all of them. Wish you many happy and trouble-free miles.
hi sir! what a very technical review of the specs of the bike! Hopefully this one comes in in my country its a tenere700 killer for me. perfect for my upgrade from 500cc category!
Great review & I really want one of these when they come to the US. How is the bike's heat management? Does it bake your legs? KTMs have issues with this, but getting a full system exhaust & eliminating the breadbox cat helps a lot. Hopefully Arrow will come out with something~ they are usually first.
Glad you enjoyed the video. I think the bike is already available in the US, I saw on the Facebook page they have a couple of test models available. The bike in China does not have a bread box so it’s loud and not hot at all, even in city riding it hasn’t gone over 85°C. I honestly cannot feel the heat of the bike on my legs at all.
Thanks for the video :-) Does the S-Wolf bash plate still mount to the engine like the stock guard? Does the ABS also have a long term off like the TCS? Have you had the bike on a scale?
Cheers👌🏻 no, it mounts on a bracket that mounts on the oil pan, the bracket will prevent any excessive damage to the oil pan. It's also covered in their warranty if something should break with the engine, they will completely change it for free for the first 20 000km/ 2 years. The ABS doesn't have an option, it's only long term off or on and switchable front/ rear. Only the traction control have the short-term off function. They say it's for people who want to do a quick 3 minute spin up a hill and then go back to a tar road. Yes I had it on a scale at the dealership, 100% correct at 183kg (full fuel).
@@Nelisjvr Awesome, thanks so much for the reply! I'll probably look for a different mounting option for a plate as I hop a lot of logs and ride in rocks but everything else sounds great 😁
@@michaelbmw1931 actually, the bike was heavier on fuel the first 2000km, it has reduced significantly. Currently I'm on 6000km and I cannot get it higher than 5L/100km in the city, and on road it goes to 3.5-4L/100km I'm very happy with the consumption.
@@michaelbmw1931 Of course I'll say the Kove, you cannot compare it, one is a 500 and the other 800cc with double the HP and torque. My personal experience with the kove has been great!
Thank you for the review. I live in a country with a warm climate, Cyprus. Have you noticed an issue with engine heat management? Is there a lot of heat on the legs or ankles?
@@miltoscharalambous9470 glad you enjoyed it! The bike is hot, but it rarely goes over 90, the fan kicks in and it settles quickly, here it's also very hot in summer...range from 35-40 degrees Celsius, it can be hot if you're in shorts, especially on your shin (just when the fan is on and you're not moving) but mostly...no issues!
Only if you come from closed throttle to really opening it up full...it's not jurkey when you just let off! Yes there is 2 seat options available...I have the 875mm
Without the extra add on, it can get a little windy if you go faster than 130-140km/h. With the deflector I've done 207km/h without feeling uncomfortable at all! I'm 178cm
Thank you for the great video. Your bike looks great with all the add-ons. What is the actual weight? Is it really below 190 kg ? How is the suspetion for off-road? Thanks
Glad you enjoyed it! Actual weight is exactly 183kg, but I have mods so now it's about 187kg. Suspension is amazing! I'm about 90-95kg with full gear and a tail bag...and I've never been able to bottom out the suspension off road...the KYB is totally worth the extra money! Front and rear fully adjustable.
@@Dr.Hosamtalhami there are 2 versions, the 800x and 800x Pro, the pro is higher, has pirelli STR'S and comes with KYB suspension, the normal one has CST tyres and lower stock Kove suspension!
Hi tanks a lot for all your videos. I really appreciate also your suggestion and modifications. Just a question how do you think could be for traveling maybe in couple but not with a lot of luggage? Just 2 soft bag on the side? I like the fact that is light and the seat position I’m 190 cm and I found the seat very good. But thinking to travel more on road than on off road. What do you think? Also another question is really true that oil and filter oil need to be changed every 5000 km? Thanks a lot for you info .
Hello, glad you enjoy it! It would be great for travelling, even with hard cases, I recently went camping with a heavy tail bag and I was still able to ride the twisties without anyone passing from behind🤣👌🏻the side bags will be even better! Yes the oil filter change is every 5000km!
Thank you for the details and review. Can you explain your feelings with the three riding modes (eco, sport,.rain) . And what do you think about the traction control? Is it adjustable on multiple levels? Thanks!
Hello. Make sure to watch again, there are only 2 modes, eco and sport. The rain mode falls under traction control. It's really sensitive in rain mode, just a little back spin and the power will cut out. I am very happy with the traction control, even on a fast acceleration where the front lifts a little the power will cut out, also happens if I accelerate too fast over a bump/manhole. It's fully adjustable. Also the traction control is about 30% less aggressive in Sport riding mode, I actually tested it today and the bikes is more aggressive in sport, seeing as the front will lift way more before the traction control kicks in, it's also not as sharp of a power cut on sport mode if the traction control kicks in!
what a nice review and what a nice motorcycle! i have two questions that i think you did not mention (i'm sorry if you did and i missed them) 1: how light does it feel compared to other bikes? and 2: what are the service intervals?
No problem, the bike is really light, I sold my Z900 because it doesn't make sense to have 2 bikes...this bike handles easier on road than my Z900! I was really shocked! It's much easier to lean and transition! The service intervals are 1-500km, 2-1500km and then every 5000km!
is the new bash plate (and original) still mounted to the engine block? it was on the prototype, but wondered if theyd worked a way around it? cheers for video, if i link back to your video can i use some clips? it might give your channel a major boost, i have subscribed and will happily mention your channel
The bash plate is mounted on a bracket and the bracket mounts on the oil pan bottom, if the bash plate should move, the bracket will bend before the engine moves. You are more than welcome to link some clips👌🏻
Hey, I'll do an acceleration test in the future, though it's not really a bike for 0-100... It does get there fast 🤣 the bike is really stable at high speeds...I took it on the highway at 207km/h and didn't feel uncomfortable for a second! The wind is strong especially if you have an off road helmet with a sun guard on top... Honestly the seat is a little hard...it doesn't bother me...but it could be softer!
@@zonakazika1169 the acceleration is really great! If you really want to feel the power, with traction control off in 1st and 2nd gear, it power wheelies! Even with traction control only pushing it to 6000/7000rpm it's really quick! I love the low end torque, it's so easy to take off in 2nd gear standing at a red light it's not even funny🙈 I would highly recommend a test ride👌🏻
Great custom build! Do have links for parts you added (where to order)? I could not find S. Wolf and when the Kove 800X Pro comes to Europe I will buy one and customize it with the parts you have used. ;-) Would really appreciate these links.
Txs a lot for the details. Can you provide any information regarding possible top cases or saddle bags. Can side cases be installed? Txs and best regards, Volker
You're welcome! Yes, you can mount any top box, as long as you can fund the bracket that mounts on the rear! I actually mounted an extra fuel tank and side box just for extra long rides, if you'd like, I can email you some pictures!
Where does the battery go? The engine looks the same as the KTM one in the CFmoto 800MT, and those Taisko calipers look an awful lot like the Brembo Stylema monoblocks on my Tiger. Lighter and better specced than the Transalp, whose tubed tyres are a deal-breaker for me.
@@kkhalifah1019 the battery is in the front left panel, in front of the fuel tank. Super compact and well designed! Engine is not the same as the KTM. They changed a lot and improved some small things! Ys it's basically the Brembo copy...the pads are even the same!👌🏻
Hi there wonderful review and great content! I am a bit hesitant about toad trips. Since they say that it can go up to 160kgs load. Do you think that it's capable for two up road trips? I am mainly onterested for the off road experience which as far as i understand is superb but do you think that it will be enough for some 4-5 day road trips with a passenger?
Hey, I recently did a road trip with my girlfriend and we had a top box on the back as well, we were definitely over 160kg with the things and it wasn't an issue! Still did the curved road like it was nothing, although when the bike gets empty...the front is super light with a passenger, you can feel it!
Nice update. You must be one of the first in English. What people really want to know it what the weight is. A lot of people think the published weights by Kove are BS. Be nice to see it on some scales. In terms of the display, it would be nice to see the android or apple car play stuff working. Also noticed there wasn't the ambient temp displayed. Does it show this anywhere?
The weight is 100% correct as specified 183kg! I personally don't like to use carplay as it sometimes intervene with the Cardo app... The moment you connect your phone there will be an outside temperature and altitude display as well!👌🏻
@@Nelisjvrthat’s impressive weight mate! I would’ve assumed over 200kg. 170kg is about the weight of a Yamaha R3. Very jealous that you’re in Beijing and get to own one, might took years for this to be available around my dealership.😅 definitely please do more about this bike as the western media coverage is outsourced.
Yes it is only 183kg. I put it on a scale myself! You can but you'll need to buy the mount for that, although the windscreen is not high enough...think the handlebar is better!
Thank you very much for the review!! I am very surprised that you already found so many aftermarket parts for the bike? I am in the UK, we don't even have this bike here yet, not to mention accessories. What is the weight of the bike according to the log book? is it really below 190kg? I didn't realize it is a KTM clone.

China? Thank You 🙏
Glad you also ordered one, I'm super happy with it! They didn’t recommend any break in, I did run it under 6000rpm for the first 500km(that's the first service) because I like to break in the engine, I know some people say it's BS, but I personally like to take it slow until I did the first service. There are no vibrations, I tried to push it to the max on the highway, going 207km/h it was as smooth as a bullet! I'm very interested in this bike when it gets to the US. One question regarding the air filter is it a paper kind that you replace or foam that you clean and oil? I've had issues with other bikes having paper filters letting dirt through when taking off road. That's an engine killer. Thank you.
It's already in the US, you can look on the Facebook page, there are a couple of tests, not for sale yet! There are a couple of filter options available, it comes stock with the paper filter, but it doesn't let dust the, I recently changed to a racing filter that can be cleaned and oiled!

Hi, this time I won't ask about comparison with Tuareg 660 😂😂😂. Can you show in the next video where the air filter is and how to access it? Does Kove 800X have a "fuel range" function on the screen or does it only show fuel level lines?
Hey, haha no problem! The air filter is located right in front of the fuel tank, really easy to access, you losen 2 bolts and just slide it out!👌🏻 Unfortunately it doesn't have a fuel range, just the fuel lines. The first line takes about 150km before it's gone, then every 30-40km the next lines will drop...the first line takes longer because the tank is huge at the top and gets narrower!
Do you have any ideas of your own what can be removed or replaced to reduce weight? I want to replace the rear rack and add new (max 1.5-2.0kg total), remove the passenger footrests, shorten the rear tail, rally exhaust without cat + new Bosch Rally ECU. Anything else you would suggest?😂😎
If you really want to make it even lighter (it's already a big dirt bike) you can always remove the bash plate and crash bars that's about 5-10KG, you can run no end can on the exhaust... but it will be loud AF...I know that you can convert it to the Rally version by removing one brake disc and a calliper, although it doesn’t have the full aluminium frame, you might be able to get some parts changed. I wouldn't remove the rear tail as it is illegal here, but you can always do that although it's not very heavy. Yes of course you can remove the passenger pegs if you don't need them, the only problem is that the exhaust end pipe connects to the right passenger peg. I would honestly not recommend changing anything, get the bike and you will feel how comfortable it is! No need for less weight!@@trip_in_the_mirror
HI thanks for the review, I would had appreciated more comments on how the bike feels on twisty roads, how light is it, how is the ergo, does it vibe at 120km/h,
Glad you enjoyed it, I have a few on road videos as well, if you go to the channel you can find them. The bike is amazing on road, so amazing that I decided to sell my Z900 road bike! It's 10 times easier to handle than the Z900, super light especially when transitioning from left to right! The seating position is very comfortable, I'm 180cm and I can ride 400km without stopping...no problem. The only problem is the seat is a little hard, I bought an aftermarket soft seat... The bike has zero vibrations, even on 160 km/h you have no vibrations! I maxed it out top speed and didn't feel uncomfortable at all!
@@DAI-proofofuniqueness the KTM is 210kg, Aprilia is 205kg and the Kove 183kg. Yes it is definitely lighter and you can feel the weight difference clearly! The Aprilia is not that heavy, the weight feels a little higher than on the Kove, but on the KTM you can clearly feel the weight difference. My guess is because the fuel tank is so low on the KTM you can feel when you transition from left to right!

It's 183kg wet weight! It's really incredible! The subframe is Aluminum, they also got rid of a lot of unnecessary stuff like a acid battery, it comes stock with a mini lithium battery. I have some extras so it's about 187kg now! Still so light!👌🏻
Mate, I really appreciate you’re answering all these comments! Do you work for Kove? And do you know how they manage to make this bike 35kg/75lb lighter than the ktm 790 adventure (same engine I beleive)? @@2wheels1guy25 no problem!👌🏻 no I don't work for Kove haha, no relationship with them at all, I just really love the motorcycle! The fuel tank is a little smaller than the KTM, I believe the KTM is 22L and the Kove only 20L. Other than that, no unnecessary things like a set of tools under the seat, heavy handlebars or handguards... The handlebar is also aluminum and the rims are really light compared to the KTM. The Akront rims is a bonus... The engine alone I think is not much lighter...as it's basically the same with only a couple of adjustments... I do know that the engine head is lighter...as it's a different design. The bike is super light in the front compared to the ktm, I don't know if it's the headlight unit and KYB suspension that makes such a huge difference... Also the exhaust...the KTM has a huge breadbox...and a heavy end muffler...the Kove doesn't have a breadbox...that's at least 3-5 kg lighter! The Kove definitely have no unnecessary weight! Haha I just took it for a 350km ride on road today..and it was amazing! So happy with the bike! The bike comes in 2 colors, charcoal black and Army green. Then you can do the wrap to make it unique! It doesn't matter how much extra weight it adds compared to a single.... The sound of that raspy, mean parallel twin with 270 degree crank is the stuff of dreams. I hope to see this bike soon here in south east Europe.
You can enquire on Kove's official Facebook account, they can tell you exactly when and where it will be available!

Great Bike Kove, but no cruise will be a deal breaker for many, so let's see it in 2025 production models.
This has to be an easy upgrade to outfit.
For highway riding it might be true...but for me I don't really need cruise control! Maybe the next model(825x) will have cruise control!
Your individual bike looks the absolute business.
@@keyboarddancers7751 cheers mate!👌🏻
Thanks for the video :-)
Does the S-Wolf bash plate still mount to the engine like the stock guard?

Nice ,what is the fuel consumption average ,on highway ,and how many km do you get of the full tank .can you test it ?
Hello. Average 5-6L/100km and city riding 7L/100km. I do about 300-350km on a tank.
7l? Wow thats too much ?
@@michaelbmw1931 actually, the bike was heavier on fuel the first 2000km, it has reduced significantly. Currently I'm on 6000km and I cannot get it higher than 5L/100km in the city, and on road it goes to 3.5-4L/100km I'm very happy with the consumption.

I’d love to ride this bike! No dealers in New York yet.
do you feel the on-off effect when you open the throttle? is the saddle height adjustable? on Kove Italia, for the PRO, it says: saddle height 865/875
Only if you come from closed throttle to really opening it up full...it's not jurkey when you just let off! Yes there is 2 seat options available...I have the 875mm
The windshield + deflector is enough for highway? Do you feel comfortable? How tall are you?
Without the extra add on, it can get a little windy if you go faster than 130-140km/h. With the deflector I've done 207km/h without feeling uncomfortable at all! I'm 178cm
Thank you for the great video. Your bike looks great with all the add-ons.
What is the actual weight? Is it really below 190 kg ?
How is the suspetion for off-road?

Glad you enjoyed it! Actual weight is exactly 183kg, but I have mods so now it's about 187kg. Suspension is amazing! I'm about 90-95kg with full gear and a tail bag...and I've never been able to bottom out the suspension off road...the KYB is totally worth the extra money! Front and rear fully adjustable.
I'm so happy to hear. I'dove to get one when it's available in my region. I didn't know you paid extra for the suspetion! They offer it as an option?

Nice design. I like the headlights
Me too, it looks very aggressive !
is the new bash plate (and original) still mounted to the engine block? it was on the prototype, but wondered if theyd worked a way around it? cheers for video, if i link back to your video can i use some clips? it might give your channel a major boost, i have subscribed and will happily mention your channel
The bash plate is mounted on a bracket and the bracket mounts on the oil pan bottom, if the bash plate should move, the bracket will bend before the engine moves. You are more than welcome to link some clips👌🏻
Can you show how to change or clean the air filter?
Air filter is right in front of the fuel tank, just remove 2 bolts and slide it out! It's very simple!
Hi, is it stable at high speed? Can you do a 0-100 in sport mode? How comfortable is seat for a long journey?
Hey, I'll do an acceleration test in the future, though it's not really a bike for 0-100... It does get there fast 🤣 the bike is really stable at high speeds...I took it on the highway at 207km/h and didn't feel uncomfortable for a second! The wind is strong especially if you have an off road helmet with a sun guard on top... Honestly the seat is a little hard...it doesn't bother me...but it could be softer!
@@Nelisjvr thx :) on the paper engine has a lot power so i was curious how it accelerate. The relation between weight and power is very good.
@@zonakazika1169 the acceleration is really great! If you really want to feel the power, with traction control off in 1st and 2nd gear, it power wheelies! Hi,
this time I won't ask about comparison with Tuareg 660 😂😂😂.

Awesome bike man! Congratulations! Hope we hear more like a long term review with the bike. The name is getting the hype.
How do you compare it to a T7?
Thanks!👌🏻 I'll definitely make a long term review! The T7 is a very tall bike in comparison...I haven't personally tried one, but a friend told me the T7 is a very rough bike... It has the same suspension, Kove has more tech compared to the Tenere, as the T7 has been around for some time now!
How much it cost you the bike stock ??? People is saying that it will cost 11.000 dollars in Europe........
Stock I paid about €7500... But I'm in China. So I don't pay import tax on it...I've heard it's going to be about $10k in the US
Where in Europa can i buy that bike ... since 2022 it been shown on EICMA there is dealer to found there for
It was showcased in 2022 at Eicma, it's been in China since late 2021, and heavily tested every since! The first official sale was in 2023 in China. Now it's moving in to the international market. I believe in the UK it will be available soon. You can enquire on their official website/Facebook!👌🏻
Thanks for the upload.
I have a November 2023 build which only has quick shifter for upshift and the TFT layout is a bit different. Which date is your's built? It's mentioned on the plate on the neck of the bike. Thanks
Same date as yours, but there are 3 different screen software, the international one is different, you cannot use the Kove app for screen sharing.
quickshifter is the same as what KTM have been using for over 6 years when the 790Duke came out.
Hello from NYC, nice job on the wrap. Your motorcycle looks Freat! Nice work on the video. Very informative. Please tide safely. It looks you are near the russia, china border. Where do you live? Nice roads, buildings.

@@CLCKC69 cheers mate, much appreciated! I'm in Beijing actually!
Hi! Nice review! I'm curious what is the fuel consumption on road, calm ride? How low can you get?
Hi. Average 5-6L/100km and city riding 7L/100km. I do about 300-350km on a tank.
About the handlebar risers, why you chose the straight ones instead of the offset ones? When you ride standing up doesnt the bar gets to close to you?
The offset ones will put too much tension on the cable as the total ride will be about 3cm...the stock cables allow just 2cm rise! For me...I have no issues with the normal riser...it's super comfortable off road...even stock it wasn't too low...it's just better with the riser!
Nice machine. What is the seat height of this machine
Cheers, there are 2 options. The normal pro is 875mm and another low option at 860mm! I recently bought an aftermarket soft seat that's 885mm, totally worth the money!

@@kennypoulsen9003 no, GSADV is a company that produces aftermarket products, from top boxes to crashbars or exhaust protection, it doesn't have anything to do with BMW
Hello. Tell me, is it possible to install a center stand on this motorcycle?
Hey, It's definitely possible! They have one available at the dealership, I just don't need one!👌🏻
How do you find the seat? Is it comfortable? Does it hurt in any way? And are they selling a another seat for upgrade?
Seat is a little in the hard side, but they have replacement seats and there are 3rd party seats available as well. It doesn't hurt at all...just hard.

The pro version should have 48mm front suspension and not 43mm as the simple model and the t7

Ps if could show the mirroring function of the display..I'm really curious
I'm really happy I took the KYB version...I've never been able to max out the suspension...even on some big drops...it's really worth the extra! The mirror is basically apple car play/screen share, I don't like to use it as it intervenes with my cardo connection!

Tenere frame design, but better tech and not as heavy!🤣👌🏻 yes 100hp!
Does kove have anytning to do with cfmoto?this bike looks very similar to the cfmoto 800mt.
Nothing at all, CFmoto is state owned, Kove is a private company. CF produces all KTM's engines, Kove bought the patent for the 790 engine and redesigned it with a different head and cam system, the positioning of parts is also not similar.

You know if we can lower the suspension; for shorter riders i ask you.
Yes, the suspension can definitely be lowered!
OK so what is the actual weight of this thing ...they are saying 185kg wet how is that even possible ..(titanium pistons rods crank) even if this is dry weight it still is incredibly light fir its HP ....can you please confirm your weights....???
It's 183kg wet weight! It's really incredible! The subframe is Aluminum, they also got rid of a lot of unnecessary stuff like a acid battery, it comes stock with a mini lithium battery. I have some extras so it's about 187kg now! Still so light!👌🏻
Mate,
I really appreciate you’re answering all these comments! Do you work for Kove? And do you know how they manage to make this bike 35kg/75lb lighter than the ktm 790 adventure (same engine I beleive)? You mentioned the mini li-on battery and the aluminium sub, but that’s max 5kg weight saving. Do you have any idea where they found the other 30kg in weight saving?
What color options can you order the 800 in china (I like your camo scheme, I have a camo wrap on my bike too but) in another video I saw a mainly black Kove 800, that thing looked like Batmans motorcycle!🦇
I personally love the urban camo I have! Think it's different!
How do you get to the air box and filter if the fuel tank extends over the top of it?
@@RichardS-qh8mi the filter is in front of the fuel tank, right behind the handlebars, you just remove the plastic cover (4 bolts) and the filter is fastened with a wingnut...I actually replaced mine yesterday...literally took me 3 minutes!
