Hi Kim, my question is in knit fabrics the fit is different as they are stretchy so how much do we need to take before cutting and sewing? (if possible can you make a video all about knit fabric fit )
@ when working with stretchy fabrics, you would need to remove between 1-2 inches depending on how stretchy the fabric is. This is called negative ease
Kim, I haven't watched your uploads in quite a while. Got the notification of this new upload and I'm glad i watched it cause just seeing your growth, your glow and how consistent you've been has really inspired me stay focused and be consistent with my drive to building my fashion design business. I appreciate you and your soothing voice and I wish you the very best in life.
Thank you for visiting the channel and watching this video. It’s taken the grace of God to stay consistent over the years, and some months are better than others 🤗 but slow motion is better than no motion
Hi Kim,I believe our Princess is doing great 👍. I know your hands are full due to the tasks having baby and working at the same time, God is your strength. My question is if a person want to study in school of fashion what are the basic a person need to know before getting into it? Thank you
God is truly my strength 😅Princess is growing beautifully every day 🥰 If you want to study fashion design in the uk for example, you have to decide if you have to get a diploma (which typically takes less than a year) or a bachelor’s degree (which takes 3-4 years depending on the university). For diplomas, most schools want to see you have your A-levels done. Whereas for a bachelor’s degree, you’ll require abit more when applying (such as portfolio and foundation in arts)
Hi Kim, trust you and family are good. Kindly clarify, why some designers minus the waist band from the length of the skirt. Does the waist band affect the length of the skirt? Well done, super mum! 😊
@KimDave Honestly, I was not expecting a quick response, because of your new role has a mum. Thank you for the response. Trust mumsie is good. I wish you well!
Hey Kim, can you please do a step by step peasant dress tutorial for me, would be very grateful. Thanks and I'm anxiously waiting. God blessings to you and family ❤
Oh is the at the dress style with an elasticated empire waistline, midi length skirt and square neckline? I just googled the peasant dress style and a few different options came up
@KimDave Hey Kim, thanks for responding to me. I'm a beginner and I've seen a style on RUclips for a little girl that I could follow step by step and I've made it for for daughter and I just liked how it came out and so I got jealous and say I would love to make one for myself. It was no elastic at the empire line. The neckline is square, the sleeves are elasticated at the shoulders and around the arms, then it has the skirt attached to the bodice and a ruffle at the end. Kim, I don't mind what style you make it in as long as I can follow along to make one for myself, I will be very happy. Much love and blessings to you.
In my opinion, Yes. If you don't get the right back length measurement, your dress could come out with center back bulging and folding cause the back length measurement is longer than your actual measurement or too short that you can't sit and you can feel the back neckline to the back waist stretching uncomfortably cause the back length is shorter than your actual measurement.
Hi , when i cut the corset it becomes a bit bigger around the bust point even if i do my drafting correctly. What causes that or may be the curves are a bit deep?
Have more questions for me, drop them below and I'll respond 👇
Thanks so much for this i love your channel ?? How often do you clean your machine
@@2nu4uorsewitseamsyou’re welcome 🤗 I’ve honestly cleaned my machine once I got it, but I’d recommend at least once every year

Hi .. kindly upload a tutorial on contouring for deeper necklines
Also what is the usefulness of the burst side dart?
And is it necessary to take burst side dart on every dress?

Yes the waistband is part of the full skirt length, so it definitely affects the skirt length.

Is taking our back bodies measurement important example like the half length of the back?
In my opinion, Yes.

Does the busy point meet or overlap each other?
Hi Dave,,, I want to start my business,.. My question is can I start a business in my house... Because I don't have money for opening a shop
oh yes you definitely can! I run my business from home
@KimDave Thank you so much 😊
Why is sewing for chubby or fat people difficult?
Thank you ma for the lesson 🙏
It’s not that it’s hard, because of the lovely curves plus sizes have, there are certain parts of clothes that have to be adjusted for better fit.
Hi, Kim Dave,
Do you have online classes for digital pattern drafting.
I don’t have any yet, need to figure out how to structure all the information
