Hi! 20 plus years ago I did a complete sewing course with creat patterns, cutting, sewing, etc. But after the course I didn't pratic what I learned. With the years I have been doing some clothes alterations for family and friends... But now a want to star creating my own wardrobe. Your video give me glimps of what I had learned more than to decades ago. The way you explain every step is easy to understand. Thank you so make, for sharing your videos. You're Amazing 👏🏻 💖
Hi Kim, I was looking for comfortable and professional tutorials to watch and help me get back into sewing. Everyone wasn't helping me properly until I came across yours. I really can relate to your tutorials, your presence is beautiful and the way you really take the time to explain everything in that wonderful accent of yours. What I'm trying to say is I appreciate your videos they're very helpful Keep up the good work God bless you always😁❤✌
Thank you soo much! A lot of people make tutorials on how to make (but it should say *sew*) a mini skirt and they just whip out a pattern and expect you to also already have one. Then they just sew it up like anyone else would.
Thank you Kim. I love your tutorials and they are easy to follow. I think that with help of professionals like you, I will be able to draft patterns to fit me. There was a time that purchased patterns would work, but not any more. Thanks again.
Hi Kim!,I finally decided to take on fashion designing career and your videos have been so insightful and unimaginably helpful!but I have some issues with this particular draft, about point "H".I'd keep trying though. Thank you!
Your video is very useful! I am undergoing my personal project right now, and my goal is to learn how to sew a skirt from the beginning, which is drawing a draft for my skirt. Your video gives detailed with step by step instruction of drawing a draft. I have learned a lot from this video.
Love that you tell us why you do what you do. Please if you can type out the instruction had to go back and forth to write notes (saw it in another video and it was very helpful.
I think the info you provide is detailed and complete as a brand newbie trying to learn. The video went so fast though it was hard to follow a bit for me. I had to rewatch a few times and again when I got ready actually make something. Thank you for doing this. Do you have a dress pattern tutorial? One with sleeves? That's gonna be my next thing! Thanks again!
Thank you so much for this tutorial. Very explanatory. Kindly explain why the centre back goes down by half inch. I've always thought the centre back needed a rise so while sitting down the skirt doesn't slide down. Thank you for the clarification.
I feel like this tutorial re-ignited my interest in sewing Im about to go home after work and renew my vows with my sewing machine thank you for breaking this down so well! Amazing voice btw
perfect lesson. thank you Kim. Dear Kim I have a question : if the size is much larger, do i increase the dart? and if so, how much per size? width and height? thank you so much
I have always been watching your videos and trying stuff, didn't realised i haven't subscribed!!!😲 when you said i am judging you, i checked then i hit the subscribe button sharply 😂😂😂
The number of darts depends on how curvy the person is. Imagine having a big behind and a small waist, you will need to take in more darts at the back for a better fit. But whichever technique works best for you 😊
😂I know what you mean. Even when I was practising the pattern I was a little confused myself, but now It makes complete sense to me. Thanks for subscribing ^.^
Cloud please show me a pattern of the question that I asked thanks i would like to join you class because I love sewing but can't cut properly and don't understand the measurement so much an how to take them
What I'm not understanding from all these tutorials on A-Line skirts is that once you create the dart, it makes the waist smaller. How can we account for this and ensure our waist measurement is correct? Do we just add the half dart measurement to the outside?
Hi Kim. Just came across your channel and subscribed. Thank you for taking time to do these sewing/pattern video clips. I have one request. How does one get your chalk to draw nicely on your fabric. All the chalks I buy just don't glide over the fabric . Is there a trick to getting chalk to mark smoothly ? 🥰
IT might help to know that usually tailors in anglophone countries like Nigeria use inches but here she used cm which accounts for the large numbers she was working with (1inch=2.6cm) hope this might help clear your confusion a bit.
hello ms. kim thank you very much for detailed explain and understand on how i can draft my own pattern. can i ask some question with regards to neckline how can you determine the measurement of neckline if you going to create heart neckline. thank you and God bless
Asking you a question how do you cut uniform buttons it has in four dark two at front an two at the back at sides you have zip an the left and pocket and the right the button has no split
