@@asakescorner8989 ah I see. The pattern will need ease along the side seams (1-1.5 inches ease) and a slit on the side or back seam for ease of movement. A waist and bust dart will be needed to shape the waist to the body. And finally a zip on the back of the dress
You do such a great job of showing how intuitive pattern drafting can be. No complicated extra calculations. Just measure your ownbody and go from there. Thank you! The end result looks so elegant on you and fits perfectly! I feel confident to get the same result for myself. (Time mark for back pattern, as I know I’ll need to reference that mulriple extra times 😊😃😅) 05:29 Back dress pattern. 07:53 strap pattern Pps…. I love that your fans are KDivas. Did I get that right?
Glad you enjoyed this one Mary. Pattern drafting really can be fun, hope you have an amazing time making your own dress. Yes my lovely fam online are called KDivas 🥰
Hi Kim, i have a request , you know how dresses sometimes come with it s own undershorts , sometimes a whole undergarmet. Could you do a tutorial of that if possible? 😅....😊thank you in advance ❤
@@KimDave like say this maxi dress would have underwear or undershorts ..like maybe a waist shaper undershorts attached to the inside or a shaper bodysuit attached to the maxi dress or bodycon dress
The thread will break on the neck and arm curves seams if pulled extremely or suddenly, but since the most movement/stretch on the dress is along the side seams
@@KimDave I totally agree off the peg clothes don't fit right, no one is average. You are right, fit alone is a reason to make one's own clothes. All my clothes would be brown because I love it. Thank you 💖👍

I wouldn’t wear this kind of dress myself, but I feel like this is so helpful for pattern making for any form fitting garments. Thank you for this!

Hi.. So you don't need to use zigzag on the neck and arm curves? Will the thread still stretch nd not break?

@@KimDave oh okay.. Thank you ❤️

Hello Kim is it worth it financially to make ones own clothes when Temu is so cheap?
I honestly believe nothing fits better than clothes you make yourself. The clothes are made using your measurements with fabrics you’ve chosen.
