You might not ever see this, but I have to tell thank you for this tutorial. I watched several video's until I came across yours. And I couldn't understand what the heck they were talking about. I only had to see your one time and understood exactly what to do. Again thank you, thank you, thank you !!
Omggg I’m so happy to read that!! I’m glad my tutorial was helpful thank you so much for watching!! 💘✨ if you have a request for me to create a certain tutorial let me know 🫶🏼🥰
lots of youtubers try to demo this by a piece of fabric with no clear wrong/side side & 12" X 12" is size which makes it impossible to understand what to fold over where! Thanks for showing it on a real piece of work!
I was considering buying a singer HD, but all the people complaining about how it takes off with the slightest pressure on the pedal had me worried as someone new to it, but seeing you managing to go slow with it is quite comforting!
Thank youuu! I have a 90’s satin skirt that needs this invisible hem fixed at the bottom. Only hand sewn tutorials is what I saw last I searched so it’s been sitting. Now I may be able to wear it again this fall 🫶🏼
Blessed good night dear ❤️. A million thanks for your tutorials 🥰. Keep on inspiring. Best of wishes to you and your family and if you are a mom, Happy Mother's Day to you n your family. Do stay safe and blessed ❤️🙏😊😊

I'm so frustrated. I don't get it! Everyone in the comments seems to understand it, and I swear I am trying really super hard to do it. I don't understand where the black zigzag stretch stitch over the white overlocked serge stitches went, nor do I understand where they were tucked and hidden?? I know it's a "me" problem, but if anyone could help me, I'd be so grateful 🙏.
The garment itself has the white overlocked stitch to show what to do regarding the fold technique and where you line up your needle. The black stitching is on a spare piece of the same fabric so it shows up more clearly the type of stitch and that only one stitch appears on the right side of garment. Hope others agree with my explanation? Glad you asked because it made me rewatch and only then did I realise it was a test piece with black thread. I’d dismissed the technique as it left the hem lumpy and the thread showed and I prefer to hand sew taking up less fibres on the right side. Thanks to YOU NormalBirdLady I will certainly try this method 👍 Looks great.
@mycat-r7y Oh my gosh! It's been over a month now, and I use it SO MUCH! This is such a wonderful, thoughtful community designed to help other sewists. I really adore the willingness of all you amazingly talented people to share! ❤️🐦❤️
Hello! This was an amazing tutorial, but I have a question: would this style of hem work on the bottom of a heavy circle skirt? Or would it not me strong enough to hold it together?
Only if you have the ability on your machine to do a zig-zag stitch. The stitch she chose makes, essentially 3 straight stiches, followed by a single zig-zag stitch.
@@ZipporahColeman-ww5uk No dear! The nails were so attractive enough for me that I found it difficult to concentrate on your work and had to view it twice. 💕
My machine only does straight and zigzag; I also hand sew. I understood your video for both immediately, where others just left me confused...and sometimes crying.

@@AnetteAguirreOooouuu u are so humble and sweet❤❤❤❤❤
Probably shortest while being totally comprehensive video in blind hemming I’ve seen. And without using a separate foot too! Thank you very much ❤❤❤

Thank you so much! I’m hemming my daughter’s satin homecoming dress today. I really needed those explicit instructions with all the settings clear.

@@NormalBirdLadyI equally don't get it,do you care to expatiate? thanks
The black thread was a test to show us the kind of stich she used, before she used the cloth's matching thread.rewatch, you would understand kk
I do this manually by hand.. hoping I can upgrade my sewing machine soon

This was great! I’ve never used this stitch
THIS IS SO COOL
Omg! This is totally helpful! Thank you❤
Thank you so much for sharing in your knowledge but my question is that can I do this using manual sewing machine 😊

Hey
Gracias por esos consejos ❤
Amazing tutorial thanks for sharing
In india we call it "tarpaayi"..
And we do it with needle and thread on every stiched suit hems.
I was distracted due to nails
😂
Then you have an issue with paying attention 😊

Oh wow! I admire your calmness.
Sorry I misunderstood it❤
@@ZipporahColeman-ww5uk It is okay. I didn't mind it at all. Have a good day! 😊
Can it be dine with singer 3223? As i dint think my singer 3223 has that last setting that you were adjusting in the video
Muchas gracias, he aprendido algo nuevo. Dios te bendiga Feliz año
Muchas graciaas por mi video!! Me alegra que te haya servido! Igual a ti 💖
Thank you so much.
The dark thread was for demonstration? Because I'm a beginner I got lost like how is not visible at the end
Yes it’s for demonstration! You should use a thread in the same color of the fabric 💗🫶🏼

Wow.... The nails... Then the colour change
🤦🏾♀️
what is that dung on your fingers?
This is so rude.
You can be polite...you only chose to be ignorant of your ability
Omxg thank you be my teacher
Can someone told me about the fabric she used?
Hi! 💓 I used “Italian Millenium”
Don’t you need to match thread with fabric colour
Of course you need to.but here she was demonstrating hence a different colour thread so it makes it easier to understand...
My machine only does straight and zigzag; I also hand sew. I understood your video for both immediately, where others just left me confused...and sometimes crying.

@@sandeeppakkeer3882 is there a specific machine to use?
@Divy-Merc18 You can use any machine which have the function of hemming stitch
A straight sewing machine can't achieve this. Sad.
Great works though
hell yee
చేతితో చేసిన హెమ్మింగ్ లా అందంగా లేదు.
Nails need sorting out, they had my attention more than the stitches
Im so sorry I knoww! They look terrible 🥲🥺
The black nails must have looked stunning when first done though.
Totally bakwas video
I cannot watch the whole video because I could see your more nails.
