Hey guys!! I've heard that lots of people have had trouble finding the trailer base that I use to make the Campers. Soooo, I have saved a room to the Gallery with the trailer inside, and you don't have to look for it anymore! I'll put the link here, so you can download it. ALSO! Apparently you have to press the R2 button while you're on the search bar to access the Debug menu (after entering the cheats) if you're on consoles? I had no idea! But that seems to be one of the issues when looking for the trailer. Love this build 💚 super interesting! if anyone plays console and struggles with altering the roofs ect, best thing to do is hook up a keyboard because I’ve tired many times to try get other options up for the roof and it never works. Only time it’s worked is when I’ve hooked my keyboard and mouse up to the console 💚 makes building 100x easier too! Especially if you want to create builds like pc players 💚

this has saved my day!! something I realised after finishing the outer part of the camper was that if I got a second trailer thing from debug I could slide it in underneath from a low side angle and that way get it in the centre of the camper! I just deleted the first one once I got the position I wanted!

I'm so excited to try this... last night I was trying things. I managed to fit rectangle inside the fake silver camper, my favorite, and even get it to take a door, but of course it's not functional, and I can't see anything. I was initially trying to do a schoolie that I saw else where, but I can't find the empty coal car. Older Simmer, I started a Permaculture game that has turned into mostly builds. A few just funny stuff! Thanks for this one. ☺

Ok, I finally got the roof right. Woot woot! Next question: The roofing section (not the roofing) - whatever color it is also applies to that part of the camper inside, and vice versa. How do I fix this?
I'm glad we got that figured out! Now this question is a bit more difficult. For some reason, it will sometimes turn the wall inside the same as the roof section, and other times it won't. I really have no idea why this is, or how to change it. But I have noticed that the more I mess with the roof and the sooner in the build process I place the roof, the more likely it is to happen. I've found that the best way to not let it happen is to place the roof last in the building process. I wish I could be more help with this, but unfortunately I haven't figured out a 100% fix to this problem myself. ☹
Thank you for this, I was following another tutorial and I was getting super frustrated because it said nothing about moving the first floor partially underground, building another on top of it, and then moving that over the base! I just built the second floor directly over the base, moving it down, and it created a huge hole in the ground.
I had the bright idea of trying to build one of these on top of a platform, so I could build a basic version and then save it as a room in my library to be easily accessed and moved about. But the game is just NOT having it, lol. Any time you try to place a platform underneath it, it just puts the whole thing deep underground. Or if you try to place the platform first and attempt to build atop of it it claims the levels are intersecting and incompatible.
When I try to pull the room over on the trailer I get red lines saying I can't connect because they are different heights. Is there a certain amount down we are supposed to draw the first room?
Make sure the trailer is not in a room (or on a floor) itself, and try deleting the first floor room before lowering the second room floor. Because these things will prevent you from being able to lower it on top of the trailer. Let me know if that worked for you! If not, I'd be happy to troubleshoot further 😊

what can you do if you dont have the camper wheels and only have the base game? can one make a landing area thing to pretend it was put down or something?
Thanks! If you sized everything the same as this and have the "box" at the same level then there won't be any trailer sticking through. Hi! Great tutorial. I am having trouble getting my roof to line up, from the front curved part to the first top curved part. It's very obvious that they are two different roofs. How did you make yours come together seamlessly? Thanks in advance!
Thanks so much! 😊 Are you holding alt when you adjust the roof? It will allow for the tiniest of adjustments so they can be lined up perfectly. Let me know if that helps! If you already are holding alt, I'll try and think of what else it can be 😃

Yes! The controls are different of course, but the steps are the same. The only thing I'm not certain of is if the "detailed editing" of the roof is possible. I haven't been able to get a straight answer on that. But you will still be able to make a rounded roof regardless. I have a problem, I've built the lot in construction mode, but then when i move a sim into it the trailer disappears, and is impossible to replace it with another one since disappears in the list (other debug objects in the list are disappearing too). is there any workaround to play with it? thank you!
Roxxy Sims last night (late night to be precise but here in Italy there is not so much to do...), I've tried to rebuild the lot and now it doesn't disappear anymore. It's a mistery but now it works. Thank you anyway. this idea to build caravans is very nice!
Anyone else having the issue once placing the "second floor room" on top of the trailer it basically becomes one object and the trailer disappears. I am doing exactly what you say and it happens every time 😭
You do have "bb.moveobjects on" on right? I figured so, but it's always the first thing to ask 😊 Have you tried placing the second floor much higher than the trailer? It may not attach itself if it's much higher, and you can always lower it once the floor is over the trailer. Let me know if that helps or if you're still having problems! I'll try my best to help out!
@@kaliroberts330 That is so weird! That's never happened to me. And it must be so frustrating, I'm sorry it's happening to you! I don't really know the solution since I haven't had that happen before, but let me open the game right now and I'll see if I can recreate the problem! One thing to try in the meantime, maybe try building it on a different lot? If you haven't tried that already. Sometimes specific lots give me all kinds of trouble. So I will sometimes build on a different lot and when I'm finished I'll just move it over to the lot I wanted. If you do try that, let me know!

Thank you so much! I will try and help! The trailer is specifically opened up when you use the bb.showliveeditobjects cheat, so try only using that one (so there will be less stuff to look through). Then, go to debug and set the filter to base game only. That again will give you less stuff to look through. Start at the bottom of the list and scroll up, the trailer will be just above the big rocks and past the boats. It should be on your game as well since it's a base game object? Let me know if that works for you! I hope it does 🤞😊

This is amazing, trying to build on ps4 but having issues getting the roof right, does anyone know how to open the extra roofing options on ps4 to get a curve? Or if its possible.

If you placed it on the roof and then moved it it won't be able to go back down. I would suggest putting all the walls down, then placing it on the floor that's under the roof. See if that works for you.
But if that doesn't work, I would suggest getting a new air conditioner to the right level before placing it. I'm not at my computer to test out the problem though, so I hope these help.
I'm so sorry, I wish I knew for sure 😢 I have heard that controllers do not have that function (and that you can temporarily hook up a wireless keyboard to perform it) but I heard that about 2 years ago, so that might be outdated information. Let me know if you have any luck! 🤞
Now that we have all the different sized half walls, I wonder if you could place a half wall (that's the size of a regular wall) there instead. I think that might work, but I haven't tried myself. Let me know if you try it!

Are you holding alt when you adjust the roof? It will allow for the tiniest of adjustments so they can be lined up perfectly. Let me know if that helps! If you already are holding alt, I'll try and think of what else it can be 😃

Yes! The controls are different of course, but the steps are the same. The only thing I'm not certain of is if the "detailed editing" of the roof is possible. I haven't been able to get a straight answer on that. But you will still be able to make a rounded roof regardless. Here's some controls and cheats if needed! 😊

I have a problem, I've built the lot in construction mode, but then when i move a sim into it the trailer disappears, and is impossible to replace it with another one since disappears in the list (other debug objects in the list are disappearing too). is there any workaround to play with it? thank you!

Roxxy Sims last night (late night to be precise but here in Italy there is not so much to do...), I've tried to rebuild the lot and now it doesn't disappear anymore. It's a mistery but now it works. Thank you anyway. this idea to build caravans is very nice!
Anyone else having the issue once placing the "second floor room" on top of the trailer it basically becomes one object and the trailer disappears. I am doing exactly what you say and it happens every time 😭
You do have "bb.moveobjects on" on right? I figured so, but it's always the first thing to ask 😊
Have you tried placing the second floor much higher than the trailer? It may not attach itself if it's much higher, and you can always lower it once the floor is over the trailer.

@@kaliroberts330 That is so weird! That's never happened to me. And it must be so frustrating, I'm sorry it's happening to you! I don't really know the solution since I haven't had that happen before, but let me open the game right now and I'll see if I can recreate the problem!
One thing to try in the meantime, maybe try building it on a different lot? If you haven't tried that already. Sometimes specific lots give me all kinds of trouble. So I will sometimes build on a different lot and when I'm finished I'll just move it over to the lot I wanted. If you do try that, let me know!
@@kaliroberts330 ik this is super late but instead of moving the whole room, i just extended the walls to over the trailer and that fixed the problem for me
I can't find the trailer base in debug, even after I downloaded the trailer off the gallery the base wasn't there :/ help🥺
If you downloaded the trailer from my Gallery page, you will find it in your library. Did you check there?
I built it like that and then after 3 days it randomly got deleted and it said I didn’t own the packs so the debug items all got removed

The trailer is specifically opened up when you use the bb.showliveeditobjects cheat, so try only using that one (so there will be less stuff to look through). Then, go to debug and set the filter to base game only. That again will give you less stuff to look through. Start at the bottom of the list and scroll up, the trailer will be just above the big rocks and past the boats. It should be on your game as well since it's a base game object? Let me know if that works for you! I hope it does 🤞😊

I had my lot set to residential, so I don't believe so? But who knows. I have had my game glitch out quite a lot lately, so nothing really surprises me anymore! lol

Roof
Put it on top of a floor (that has no walls on it). That should solve your problem 😊
Why are my things floating 😤😤😤😤 I did exactly what you said to do but the airconditioning on the roof is floating and I can't get it down with 9/0
If you placed it on the roof and then moved it it won't be able to go back down. I would suggest putting all the walls down, then placing it on the floor that's under the roof. See if that works for you.
But if that doesn't work, I would suggest getting a new air conditioner to the right level before placing it.
I'm not at my computer to test out the problem though, so I hope these help.

Maybe try having the building higher, and then try pulling it across? And then lowering it after. Let me know if that works!

I have heard that controllers do not have that function (and that you can temporarily hook up a wireless keyboard to perform it) but I heard that about 2 years ago, so that might be outdated information. Let me know if you have any luck! 🤞

Ackkk...any wallpaper used on that back portion roof section lines the inside of the camper wall. Anyone know a way around that?
Now that we have all the different sized half walls, I wonder if you could place a half wall (that's the size of a regular wall) there instead. I think that might work, but I haven't tried myself. Let me know if you try it!
