Such an amazing building and video.. Not gonna lie, the ending made my heart ache a bit. Maybe, in another dimension where this cottage exists, many adventurers found it as a resting place, never knowing who had built it as a clue was never left, leaving it's legacy as "The Cottage for Nobody."

The pointy roofs also served as a way to keep deep snowfall from building up and crushing the roof. A crucial and sometimes necessary feature in regions with heavy snow during the winter.
Knitting while watching Sniff building a comfy cottage is such a positive experience :] I’d watch whatever you posted, and revisiting an old build sounds fun!
Great vid, you have a lot of skill! As a nitpick your 'greenhouse' is more accurately a conservatory. Greenhouses (atleast in the uk) have the connotation of solely growing plants (eg my nan has a greenhouse where she grows tomatos) whereas a conservatory is built specifically for leasure. As a side note I'm so happy you are inspired by the tutor black and white, I'm SO LUCKY to live close to such buildings and they have so much character, I'd LOVE to see you make something like that, little Morton hall is one of my favorite of such places.

Love the build. to get furniture up to the loft it would probably be possible to put a hoist on one of the ceiling joices. other than that you can just pull it out of "hammerspace".
Have you tried out the mod LittleTiles (apologies if you have, I'm new here)? Currently there is development for v1.20.1 but it had last been released for 1.12.2. I'm not sure how it would/will work with your choice of texture blocks though. However, it used to allow you to make custom doors, beds, chests etc actually work as the original items did and, from memory, angled roofs and fences were easier too. Its was also possible to use effects like water splashes, fireworks, light and so on in your builds. Either way you have made an amazingly warm and cosy cottage. I want to live there as it's so fantastic and welcoming!
I wonder if LittleTiles has kept up with C&B? Last I checked it was more optimized and also allowed for custom block entities (custom swinging doors or sittable chairs, for example) but it might not have been updated to the lastest versions that C&B has.
Steep rooves are also known in alpine areas of europe to have been made for the practical reason of snow falling off easilly in the winter and not breaking it. Possibly the same reason in other parts of the northern hemisphere.
