mad disrespect to 2014 for no reason goddamn spurs deserved it, they had a good story with loss in previous finals, amazing team work, what else you want?
It's obvious you guys grew up with LBJ.. Jordan outdid LeBron in a shitload of playoff games. You know they put Jordan at PG for a third of a season and a playoff run in the late 80s when players actualy had positions and he was the best true PG averaging over 30 again and like 35 in playoffs averaging 8 boards, 8assists over that span
to be fair, in the 2015 finals, while lebron deserves the merit for stealing two games from the warriors, even making a possible finals MVP case for himself, some of those role players were actually solid, like mozgov and tristan (and delly on defense), while others like jr smith and shumpert underperformed
2011 all the way for me (obviously). 2016 i can't bring myself to like as much because of LeBron stans. The 2011 Mav run was special and i do love how now people try to downplay it when back then everyone was talking so much shit about that team

2011 series was better than 2010. It had moments forever remembered either Dirk’s heroic game 2 comeback lefty lay up, high arching 3 in game 5 or lebron became the frozen one. Dirk didn’t shoot well and neither did Kobe but Dirk had moments.
2010s was weak af in terms of finals looking back, like there were only like 3-4 good finals. Also Bron fans overrate 2016 massively, it was a very good performance but the warriors really underperformed especially steph, bogut was injured after game 5, and the only reason it's so hyped up is because the cavs were down 3-1 to a team that literally came back from 3-1 the series before.
it was still a very solid team. they got to the finals so solid enough to get to the finals and beat lebron. even with lebron played like complete shit in that finals
they matched up well with every team though, that's a big help, and those role players came through big time. I still have nightmares of a Bond villain strapping a doomsday device to JJ Barea and the only way to save the world is to have Derek Fisher stay in front of him. We all die.
@@Yaperss narrative doesn't change the play. Chase down block on a contested double clutch lay up Vs A play where Giannis practically defended BOTH players on a pick n roll and blocked a lob attempt. I was more impressed with Giannis, but again, it's EXTREMELY close.

I’m bias cause I’m a Raptors fan but cmon the series was pre good, ik KD and Klay got injured but game 1 3 and 4 where actually pretty good games from both sides
Everyone talks about Ray Allen’s 3, but it doesn’t exist without Chris Bosh’s rebound and pass. And then the block to seal the game in OT. The Heat don’t win that game without Bosh.
2011 is easily a top 3 final OF ALL TIME. The disrespect for it to not be #1 on this list is insane. It is definitely the most earned ring of recent history. Dirk and the Mavs had to go through the defending champs with Kobe, OKC (Durant, Westbrook, Harden, AND Ibaka) and then a completely stacked Heat team with the big 3. The storylines were insane. The aging group of Kidd, Marion, Peja, Terry, and Dirk all got rings here. It was their last shot. Hell, game 2 of that series is one of the greatest comebacks of all time, let alone in a finals series. I know people love their Golden State bandwagon, but 2011 deserves the top spot.
I don’t think you can seriously say that a final where normally what would be the best player in the final effectively is effectively absent for no discernible reason is a top 3 final of all time. 2016 is cleanly the best final in the 2010s, no contest. You’re entitled to your opinion, though.
@@ClareAmel You realize that, even without Lebron, Wade and Bosh were both considered top 5 players at that time? On the ESPN ratings for the 09-10 season, they have Lebron #1, Wade #3, and Bosh #4. Dirk is #9 for reference. I have no idea how beating a team with 3 players who were all considered top 5 the season before cannot be the greatest final of the 2010s, not to mention of all time. Lebron playing subpar does not diminish that; they would have been favorites to win without him. Even without him, the Heat would have been favorites to win. For context of how insurmountable that was back then since most people don't remember; that is the equivalent to a team in modern NBA having Jokic, Luka, and Giannis. It is fucking out of this world. Even if one doesn't show up, you'd still expect them to win. This is EASILY why it's the best of the 2010s and competes for one of the best finals ever. Then you have to factor in the storyline that was present. Dirk and the Mavs had to beat some of the most stacked teams and arguably had one of the most difficult runs to the finals ever. I'm not positive, but I remember a video saying that the number of All-Stars the Mavs had to beat to win their chip is the most ever in a playoff run. The whole country aside from Miami wanted the underdog Mavs to win and they were MASSIVE underdogs. Not to mention the insane games themselves, again, Game 2 is a 15 point comeback for the Mavs to win with Dirk getting the final 7 or 9. I'm sorry man, but there is no logical way this isn't the best of the 2010s and, imo, a top 3 all time.

for me, 2011 was really interesting. Lets review the entire 2011 playoff rounds. -First Round: #1-Chicago Bulls vs #8 Indiana Pacers: I think everyone remember Rose in his prime time, also with some role players like Kurt, Brian, Luol(who had a 16pts avrg in the playoffs); While pacers 8 seed team was...shit? the indiana next franchise player PG was a rookie(and was 6pts avrg in the offs), i can"t remember a single star name there aside danny. Chicago in 5 with one of the most strange 1° seed teams in the decade. #2-Miami Heat vs #7 Philly 76ers: The miami ultimate big3 vs the role players team, they had iguodala and holiday in his 2° season, i used to like this team. Miami in 5 #3-Boston Celtics vs #6 NY Knicks: This Celtics Team was in the paper, way better then the Bulls, the champions KG, Allen and Pierce, Shaq and Jermaine, Chris Paul Brother, West(not the clutch one) vs Carmelo and Stoudemaire, was a joke this series with boston in 4, WIPE IT. #4-Magic vs #5 Atlanta Hawks: i really miss the early 2010's magic, but beside Dwight in his prime time, the rest is kinda okay. The hawks was a really cool team, with big al, zaza and jamal, AND THEY WON IN 6 GAMES, was the greatest series in the first round of the eastern c. continue in the next
To watch Lebron get death threats returning to Cleveland in 2010, then to seeing the crowd help him up in 2016 when he fell cheering hoping that he’s okay. Dan Gilbert and the entire city forgiving him after maturing to that point 6 seasons after The Decision. A city in ruin with nothing but sports and even that was in a 60 year drought across all sports. Their one icon, the kid from Akron, overshadowed the entire season by the player and team meant to replace him as the face of the NBA. Golden State was appointment television. The first unanimous MVP, 50-45-90 leading the league in scoring and steals while not even playing many 4th quarters. The top 2 scorers ever ushering in a 3 point era that was to change basketball forever. The defending champs going 73-9 with all of their titanic players and coach somehow getting way better after winning the title. Led on defense by one of the best defenders ever, on offense by the best shooter ever, and a coach who played with MJ on the 72-10 Bulls and helped them get their second threepeat. Records broken everywhere, unstoppable at home, and coming off an historic comeback against KD and the Thunder themselves. The Lebron/Steph rivalry, the Warriors Cavs rivalry now with a healthy cast, the 3-1 comeback including two games at Oracle, the Klay comment, the Lebron block of Steph in Game 6 then the “they f-ed up” line in the locker room, the block, the shot, and the stop. The individual performances, the only player to lead both teams in all of the 5 statistical categories for ANY playoff series in the 77 year history of the NBA against this record breaking juggernaut of a team at this stage. The aggregate score of each team being tied going into Game 7 then the most tense 5 minutes of Sports I’ve ever watched. This series had more hype than anything since the Last Dance and exceeded all expectations. The iconic players and teams and plays and moments. The greatest shooting season of all time and Kyrie ended it with a three pointer of his own in Steph’s face while a big man stopped him from tying at the other end. The hug and the Breen calls and the crying… And then everything that happened as a result. MJ decided to start production on the Last Dance documentary. Draymond called KD to make The Decision of his own, on steroids, to change the nature of free agency forever. Going to the 73-9 team that beat you and leaving Westbrook to start an entirely new narrative the next year. The fate of the NBA and sports in general being decided every possession by razor thin margins. An inch here or there determine the fate of North American Sports capping off the greatest year in NBA history - Kobe’s farewell, the Gordon dunk contest, the records, the excitement. It’s so storybook that it should be a blockbuster movie.

Calling the 2016 Finals the best series of all time is laughable when every game was a blowout except for Game 7. That's easily the most overrated Finals series in history. And btw I'm not even a Warriors fan but that series is not as great as people claim. Game 7 is the greatest game ever though, I do agree with that notion.

Haven’t seen them get so annoyingly horny over a single team ever since, up until the 2022 Celtics
When Festiv Ezeil entered the game in 2016 it was over. Dude turned the ball over like 4 times in a row and Steve just stood there like this is fine 🧍♂️
Cavs fan here. Thinking back at that 2016 finals still bring tears to my eyes. I'll never forget game 7.
2016 and 2013 is right behind it. Two best finals of the 2010’s
mad disrespect to 2014 for no reason
goddamn spurs deserved it, they had a good story with loss in previous finals, amazing team work, what else you want?

Watching this made me realize just how many rings bron could've had 😕
Also a big stake in that 2016 finals was that, if that the Cavs lost, LeBron would've lost 3 straight finals 2014, 2015, 2016

Ik y’all aren’t Canadians but 2019 finals were so memorable everyone in Canada watched it or at least cared cause of We the north movement
I think the 2020s has been great so far, what about it has been rough? Suns/Bucks, Warriors/Celtics, Lakers/Heat have all been extremely close
2014 finals was like watching seniors in highschool beat up on 8th graders
Alternate title: ranking lbj's 8 straight finals plus two other seasons.
to be fair, in the 2015 finals, while lebron deserves the merit for stealing two games from the warriors, even making a possible finals MVP case for himself, some of those role players were actually solid, like mozgov and tristan (and delly on defense), while others like jr smith and shumpert underperformed
2011 all the way for me (obviously). 2016 i can't bring myself to like as much because of LeBron stans. The 2011 Mav run was special and i do love how now people try to downplay it when back then everyone was talking so much shit about that team
Spoken like a true LeBron hater. 👏
@@michaeldevera6285 Nah, you dick riding stans is what make it hard to like him. I should never see grown ass men acting like some of you Bronsexuals do towards another man. The fact y'all earn that nickname is proof enough how down bad y'all are 😂. Looking past that though, LeBron is one of the best to ever do it. Easily number one or two all time.
2011 so underrated only true mavs fans would understand
2011 series was better than 2010. It had moments forever remembered either Dirk’s heroic game 2 comeback lefty lay up, high arching 3 in game 5 or lebron became the frozen one. Dirk didn’t shoot well and neither did Kobe but Dirk had moments.
2010s was weak af in terms of finals looking back, like there were only like 3-4 good finals. Also Bron fans overrate 2016 massively, it was a very good performance but the warriors really underperformed especially steph, bogut was injured after game 5, and the only reason it's so hyped up is because the cavs were down 3-1 to a team that literally came back from 3-1 the series before.
i love how the ranking flip flopped until the top 5
Yo is the intro song just Roman reigns’ theme song?
2011 mavs were not stacked. Stop it.
it was still a very solid team. they got to the finals so solid enough to get to the finals and beat lebron. even with lebron played like complete shit in that finals
@@sway9427 solid? Sure. Stacked? Stop.
Well dirk damn sure didn’t carry the Mavs
they matched up well with every team though, that's a big help, and those role players came through big time. I still have nightmares of a Bond villain strapping a doomsday device to JJ Barea and the only way to save the world is to have Derek Fisher stay in front of him. We all die.

Giannis most definitely has the best defensive play in history now. It's EXTREMELY close though.
Nah
Giannis did it in a game 6 and he wasnt down 3-1
Also he wasn’t against the team with the best record in nba history
@@Yaperss narrative doesn't change the play.
Chase down block on a contested double clutch lay up
Vs
A play where Giannis practically defended BOTH players on a pick n roll and blocked a lob attempt.
I was more impressed with Giannis, but again, it's EXTREMELY close.
@@3TooWonder yeah but the thing is if Giannis missed that block he still had game 7 in case he lost because he was up 3-2, lebron did that play in a do or die situation being tied with 2 minutes left in a game 7 after coming back 3-1.
I’m bias cause I’m a Raptors fan but cmon the series was pre good, ik KD and Klay got injured but game 1 3 and 4 where actually pretty good games from both sides
2014 is one of the greatest teams ever playing some of the best basketball in league history. This is so wrong

@@Prodigial 2011 Mavs had one of the best postseason runs of all-time, but the 2011 Finals matchup itself wasn't that great.
@@the757general2 Game 2 is probably one of the best finals games ever, what are you talking about? Down 15 in the 4th quarter with 7 mins left. Even besides game 2, the games were all entertaining.
George hill deserves more blame than Jr smith for losing game 1 2018
for me, 2011 was really interesting. Lets review the entire 2011 playoff rounds.
-First Round:
#1-Chicago Bulls vs #8 Indiana Pacers: I think everyone remember Rose in his prime time, also with some role players like Kurt, Brian, Luol(who had a 16pts avrg in the playoffs); While pacers 8 seed team was...shit? the indiana next franchise player PG was a rookie(and was 6pts avrg in the offs), i can"t remember a single star name there aside danny. Chicago in 5 with one of the most strange 1° seed teams in the decade.
#2-Miami Heat vs #7 Philly 76ers: The miami ultimate big3 vs the role players team, they had iguodala and holiday in his 2° season, i used to like this team. Miami in 5
#3-Boston Celtics vs #6 NY Knicks: This Celtics Team was in the paper, way better then the Bulls, the champions KG, Allen and Pierce, Shaq and Jermaine, Chris Paul Brother, West(not the clutch one) vs Carmelo and Stoudemaire, was a joke this series with boston in 4, WIPE IT.

2017 LBJ had the best final game EVER? Dude.
As good as the Lakers/Celtics series was it shouldn’t be ranked higher than 2011
The Washington Wizards vs the Sacramento Kings, in the NBA Finals, sounds fucking disgusting
The hug and the Breen calls and the crying…
And then everything that happened as a result.
To say nobody cared about the 2019 finals because there was no LeBron. Bruv that’s why people cared about 2019 because there was a new and fun team that beat the warriors

Calling the 2016 Finals the best series of all time is laughable when every game was a blowout except for Game 7. That's easily the most overrated Finals series in history. Literally everything had to go right for the Cavs to win. Iggy and Steph coming into the series injured, Draymond getting a bogus suspension, Bogut getting hurt and Steph fouling out in Game 6. And btw I'm not even a Warriors fan but that series is not as great as people claim. Game 7 is the greatest game ever though, I do agree with that notion.
