they reveal everything in this alien trailer like whats the point in even watching the film now? at least it saved me a few quid. i wasnt going to watch this anyway tbf. alien was amazing. some people like aliens and then theres fans which wanted another one even after alien resurrection lol. i think alien romulus will keep the franchise going like what they did with prey but the hype will die out and people will know that the alien franchise has had its life drained from the very day they swore to return to it. Look at it this way. If you've seen other movies in the Alien franchise, you already know that the humans (and probably an android) are going to meet up with alien(s) and most of them will get attacked and killed in various horrifying ways. (It never works out well for the androids...) There's your spoiler, right there. It's going to be up to the movie to be creative and manage to scare us in new ways, even though we already have a very good idea of what's going to happen.

You're completely missing the point of what makes a sequel good. It's whether or not its warranted. Alien established the creature. Aliens expanded on its lifecycle and explained where the Xenomorph comes from. Alien 3 established that the Xenomorph adapts its DNA to its host while finishing Ripley's story. Resurrection added nothing. Prometheus added nothing. Covenant retconned lore and added nothing. This movie hinges on if it adds to the lore and expands the premise. It doesn't matter if we see who lives or dies in the trailer. What's important is if the story works. Spoilers are irrelevant so long as the plot holds tight and so far Fede Alvaraez has shown with Evil Dead and Don't Breathe that he can deliver tight well crafted horror.

well said the only thing i disagree is judging from trailers romulus does not offer something new. its a mixture from the first three movies with a new replay

@@Vectorman2X I'm willing to see how it's handled. I'm not bothered by seeing that at least 2 characters die in the trailer. It's not like I need to be surprised to enjoy something. People act like they only watch a movie once. I've seen Aliens and Predator hundreds of times and still enjoy each watch. What matters most is if the move is well written, has a decent pace, doesn't conflict too much lore wise and is connected in a way that makes sense. Like if the main girl is secretly Amanda Ripley then hey, that'd be cool. But really it already looks a billion times better than Covenant. It feels like it belongs in the Alien universe through expected consistency established by the first 3 films.
It might or not, we'll know when we watch the movie 🤷♂️
I just want to know how the Romulus got a xenomorph or egg specimen and what happened to the crew on that Space station .It's either they got the floating Big Chap in space judging by a cacoon floating into an air dock or another team went after the Nistramo crew to LV246
I reckon the station picked up the alien from the end of the first film, which we assumed was dead, but could justifiably have been floating in space all this time.
I’m keeping an open mind …… I’m already not a fan of the synthetic face huggers …….and find the story of finding the original alien in space laughable …… and if ash has control of the Romulus then why not simply go to the derelict on lv 426 and just get eggs ….

i think fans have every right to be a bit skeptical of Romulus, including myself. i really hope it proves me wrong.
Exactly the same with Longlegs 90% of all good scenes with the killer are in some way in the trailer.
