Dispatcher is not the problem, its Chief 1 doing all the hollering. Yelling into the mic tends to garble the transmission. I learned that the hard way!
Is it Department SOP that those PASS alarms have to be on at all times, even when the FF isn't going inside? Seems like every third one is in alarm mode during this exterior operation. Hats off to the ladder drivers - it's gotta be awful to set up the truck and thread a stick through all the wires. Us rural FF's don't have that problem so much.
I will never understand Newark's apparatus placement though. They just make it harder for themselves from stretching lines to getting water and everything else...cluster fu@k 3 pumpers lined up like ducks when rear should be to the fire and NOT blocking the front like the first due did I'm assuming. Both trucks are only ones in proper spot....maximum scrub and luckily wires on cross side of street. Nice video though gotta love the snow and zero casualties factor of course
steve jeske a lot of cities don't like prepiped sticks. Much more expensive to build, and they are damaged easily by stick which are used primarily to go into windows and to roofs
Love that old ladder 7 .
with all of those pass devices going off how are you supposed hear one going off if you need to

That's what happens when you lower the standards on promotional exams, you get unqualified idiots promoted 🤔

Most departments sdo this in the event a firefighter runs into trouble. The alarm aids in helping rescuers locate him/her.
Great job nice vid.
Thanks bro
☝

Stupid wood!!! And they should never have allowed those houses to be built so close together. Recipe for disaster😬
Newark really turned into a shit show, what a shame 🤔
