Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Back to action with the first raid tier of Dragonflight. As it is the case with most first kills, they are messy and a bit lame, and this one doesn't differ. We got this kill last week but due to Christmas vacation I only got time now to upload it. I am not very proud of my performance in this one as I notice quite a few mistakes given that it was second or third pull that got us the kill so I didn't manage to optimize my CDs much. Thankfully, in our re-clear of Eranog this week I ended up playing to much higher standards.
For a first boss, I really like this one compared to any first boss from the Shadowlands raids. It will be a nice first fight for parses later this tier and I am very much looking forward to it!
Moreover, since this is the first official Mythic raid fight where I get to play the full new talent tree of monk, I have to comment on it and say that it is really great and enjoyable currently. I feel, however, based on my experience so far that the tuning is not quite right and Mistweaver is under-performing. I will reserve my full judgement for a later point when we get closer to obtaining BiS because things can change a bit between progressing content under-geared and reclears with BiS. But for now, a quick look at statistics of Warcraft-Logs will show you that we are rocking the bottom spot in overall healing performance at highest percentile...

Hey Geroiko, love the content and your breakdowns. Is that a weakaura on the right of your UI that is tracking your scheduled chi ji and revival casts?

The panel on the right that shows my scheduled CDs is just part of the addon "Method Raid Tools". This addon has that "note" utility where you can write in it the timing, ability ID and player name. The typical syntax that I use in the note to make it appear the way it does in the video is the following: " {time:0:25}{spell:325197} Geroikko ", where the 325197 ID is the one for Chi-Ji. In a similar way, by replacing the ID after the "spell:" you can set it up for any CD in the game, or even item (e.g. a reminder for your pot) or for defensives.
