I remember when I would dream about being over 300whp and now I’m at 400. My set up is very similar to this one but I run a ETS TMIC and cst4 instead. I don’t plan on adding any more power mod’s either. Just need some wider rims and trickier tires, and maybe some additional cosmetic mods but 400whp is perfect for a daily driven fwd vehicle.

Built motor, serviced injectors, new in tank fuel pump, and e30 tune. I’m tuned at 392whp/ 397wtq.
I wana go about 360bhp as i want it to cost as little as possible coz i have an 2019 RS3 that i daily

@@Dyl_Cam yup, still running super strong and I go WOT every time I drive it (3-4 times a week).
No major repairs. My valve cover gasket is letting a bit of oil into the spark plug and my hpfp started leaking, but that’s expected wear and tear.

iirc Shell Rotella had the base formula changed a couple of years ago and the guys on Mazdaspeed groups in North America are avoiding it (less protection).
The ultimate oil 5W40 that the guys with 600+ are using also is the purple can Liqui Moly Leichtlauf 5w40. Don't go too thin or you'll zzb the sh!t out of your engine, these engines are more prone to LSPI than the new gen of GDI ones.
5w40 better than 5w30? Is thicker oil better basically?
@@PeTRoL-HEadx, for Mazdaspeed 6/3? Yes, due to weak turbo seals and weak rings from factory.

Check out motul xcess gen2 5w-40, such a great oil for these cars and a Napa gold filter or wix xp

X2 on the wix xp. I work in regional sales for napa and all the performance shops around us use them. Never tried motul but have used LM and amsoil after switching from t6. Currently using eneos and it seems to be doing better with less buildup on the valves. Better price too. $68 vs $52 vs $38 for 6 quarts (AMS vs LM vs ENEOS)
Can you get some recordings from the idle and revs? I feel like the Full Race Prostock Manifold has a super nice rumble at idle but sounds like an evo revving the engine which I love, but not sure if it because videos I saw were people using CS divorced downpipe
I drive a 2008 Speed3 and almost all of this is true about the 1st gen as well. Especially the stage 3 motor mounts. It might just be the tune I run, but I'm surprised with your exhaust setup you aren't getting little backfires between shifts. My car sounds like it farts every upshift lol. I dont have Cats but im only sitting at about 370whp. Looks like a great build though!
i had the same pops in between shifts and some flames. i was at 420wheel. my car loved running rich lol
@@fans3984 yeah even at 20psi and a safe tune, my speed would never go above like 12.8 a/f/r. My exhaust tips are blacker than the night sky lmao. I accidentally hit rev limited in first last night (having too much fun) and it spitfired like a machine gun

I have a Speed6 full both on and not sure of my hp. Been chasing an evap code for months. What’s your gas mileage like?
All speeds are 5.5quarts. Running under 5 would be very dangerous.......and in all my years in the community I've never heard anyone reccomend 5w-20 for our cars. Manual and oem says 5-30 but most everyone runs 5-40. That being said I have also ran t6 rotella.for just over 100k and last 2 oil changes switched to eneos after having my valves cleaned.......anyways first time to the channel and enjoyed the video. Hope there's more speed videos to come!!
Speeds are 4.5 quarts
Just did my oil change yesterday
I have a 2010 mazdaspeed 3 and the owners manual says 5.7 quarts.....and looking now so does Google. Granted that's from completely empty and we only let it drain so far but most forum's say 5.5 is widely accepted. Not sure where you got your info or if you're just going by your dipstick (which are notoriously difficult to get an accurate reading from on our cars)
@@gavinphillians271 1.6L honda's are 4.3 to fill so not sure how our 2.3L with a turbo would only hold that much oil. Doesn't make sense. If you really only fill up 4.5 I wish you the best of luck with no zzb.

i am running everything corksport except block off i have a short shifter kit turbo back exhaust 3 inch with divorced downpipe cts4 turbo ported and polished head ported and polished exhaust and intake as well as down pipe no one ever checks the dp they are nasty welds I balanced the pistons took 2 grams off 3 balanced the rods took 1 gram off two lapped all the valves cleaned everything up and i am boring to 88mm instead of 87.5

my speed3 is mostly stock but i bought some drilled n slotted rotors and new performance pads and it brakes like a porsche
@@who_k_nows i’m on 4 piston brembos and it is way way better than the stock single piston calipers… should’ve done it as my first upgrade to be honest 😅

Don’t run rotella. The new formula is shit. And a lot of speeds have been spinning bearings on them recently. I’d switch to penzoil 5w40 with extra zinc so that might be more of a high mile oil or motul xcess gen 2. The more zinc the better and run a 5w40 don’t run a 5w20

Tbh I’m not sure it’s either JBR or Cobb short shifter, with all linkage fully upgraded

It has an external waste gate
no reason whatsoever to run 5-20. 5-40 is more ideal.

Anyone can answer me what the diff between iwg vs ewg? Is it necessary to convert to ewg? Tq in advance
Ewg dumps right off manifold to atmosphere. This gives the crazy sound Under WOT . It’s an easier way to get exhaust gases out and balance boost . Iwg send it down the downpipe instead of into atmosphere
