- Today we had Stephen’s Mazdaspeed3 in from NYC to get on the rollers to finish up his tune by PD Tuning on stock fueling Via Cobb Accessport.
Car includes a bunch of quality parts but to keep it short here’s the main components.
EBTEC Built Long block
Corksport Intake / Exhaust manifolds
Corksport CST5 Turbo
Corksport 3.5” intake
Corksport 3.5” Downpipe
Corksport 3.5” Exhaust
Stephen’s car will easily make over 500hp when additional fueling is added but for now he will enjoy a very strong 384whp car that will be super fun and reliable. Авто/Мото

Hi Alex or Stephen, awesome content! I wanted to ask a question. With the set up you have, the CS intake manifold and the 3.5 in exhaust. Did you get a check engine light? The thing is I live in NC were I have to pass an emissions test and I'm trying to build my car especially now that the my timing chain failed and I have to get that replaced. Your input would be greatly appreciated!

Love the mazdadpeed content. Almost done with my speed 3, full bolt on big turbo looking to max out stock fueling and leave it be until it dies. Then new motor time.😊

@03max6spd well I have a garrett t3/t04e I plan on running with a custom made downpipe
@@chrismetalwilson2588 sick man! Later on I may run a garrett or precision vband turbo but that won't be for years to come.
@03max6spd nice man. I bought my speed as a project that I could park two years ago and now I'm a custom oil drain line away from final nut and bolt check and a tune
@@chrismetalwilson2588 good shit man, I got mine in 2019, it sat did some work, drove it for a bit in 2020 then it sat, came back to it then a failed meth spray leaned and torched the motor then it sat lol but now I drive it everyday, literally driving it to work tonight.
Looking forward to the post aux-fuel update. So far, this is a very promising tease, haha.

@@raquielcross5757 That's dope! Farhan will get you right and yeah I wanted to make sure the car was put well together to eliminate any guess work. Port injection is the last piece of the puzzle but that won't be for awhile

3inch downpipe then 2.5 inches exhaust that limits numbers obviously
But I am close to 400whp
Because of E30 mix ^^ tune is made in France on versa tuner
21.5 psi of boost at 4000rpm then 24.5 at 4.5rpm, almost 25.5/26 from 5000 to 5500rpm then slowly goes back to 23
and around 9s from 60 to 120mph
That's good stuff man!! You need to get that 3.5 inch down pipe and exhaust! It really wakes the car up!!
I didn't want to mix in he stock tank, so I'm gonna hold put and get the PI kit from Corksport
With your mix you can run a bit more boost than me😢
@@03max6spd yes ethanol helps getting higher values and hope that more diameter for the exhaust will help too. Oh have forgot to tell that I have a xs power V3 exhaust manifold lol. And injection duty is between 95 to 100%
So power is one thing, but handling is the key element to keep the car straight on the roads with that much power on the front !
@@MPSFrance Get rid of that Xs manifold asap, get the corksport one and as for the suspension I overhauled it years ago. I have Fortune auto 500 coilovers with swift springs, new control arms, inner and outer tie rods, adjustable endlinks, front strut bar, rear sway bar with stiffer bushings. Corksport lower tie bar, Spc camber arms, 5 sets of powerflex polyurethane bushings, the car handles like an animal.
@@03max6spd oh I see so your car is going straight forward and not moving too much
Just have the front strut bar, rear lower strut bar in the trunk, adjustable front end links and 4 arms adjustable on the rear axle
And few elements under the chassis.. but miss the anti rollbar whiteline or anything.. PU bushings and at least the antilift kit for the front.. maybe later
Xs power haha I know it could crack some day but so far so good, for the price it did the job quite decently since 4 or 5 years with 350 to 400whp
Headed towards 1k miles on mine built engine from beltec performance car rips. pretty much the same setup as this besides 3in downpipe/exhaust
does the 3.5in. TBE throw a CEL code? If so, can it be tuned to turn it off?
16:10 logs show AFR 12.0 through the pull. Is this on 93 or do you guys have better stuff at the pumps?

I got out of the MS3 game. It's hard to make power unlike 4G63

Is the code for a specific cylinder?
@@SpoolingUpPerformance 1 and I have done all I can think of to exclude changing the wiring. Sounds like a WRX now.
Just got done diagnosing a p301, it was a burnt head valve. Bottom end is still in great shape.
@@Rayvisin How could you tell. I hade the valves cleaned when i was trying to troubleshoot this and they didnt mention anything. Also I had 2 different places do compression and leakdown test that came back fine. Ive put new coils, Plugs and even injectors in. Ive been stumped for a while.
I got the same thing it's running rough like it's being choked and won't tell me which cylinder it is. Swapped coils and plugs still same. Turbo probably came apart it smells funny.😂

i live in PA and i notice lots of these selling with blown engines. is it easy to blow these of its guys just not knowing what they are doing?
It's a combination of both, many people just don't take care of these cars. With simple maintenance they can last very long.
I sold mine and got a FoST instead. It was a blast of a car, but I was always paranoid that each WOT pull would be my last. 😂

Maintaining healthy oil maintenance goes a long way. Not full proof but I'm willing to bet most of those blown motors weren't maintained well enough for the type of driving Speed3s tend to inspire. Even healthy, these motors soak up oil.

It wasn't breaking up but it was running out of fuel past 6500 rpms so we stopped there until I go PI.
@@03max6spd does this make a dangerous lean condition / predetonation? good to stop lower rpm like you said. grats on the build
What makes you think it was breaking up?
@@inadad8878 Tuner said don't rev past 6500 so I won't. If it was an issue he would have turned down the boost. Car is extremely healthy and no issues as it is.
