    The best thing about practicing is being able to do things you haven’t done before
    When I found this channel this video completely stumped me to all heck
    And now I made it to 95 bpm wow thanks!

    Has anyone been able to play this at 135? The singles at the end are just insane.

    Drum Lifestyle rules. I reckon my technique, or lack of talent - lets me down, but it's a laugh having a go.

    After the fourth measure it completely loses the rhythm and I cant figure out where its jumping too, am I stupid?

    • @DrumLifestyle
      @DrumLifestyle  6 лет назад +6

      Hey! Sorry for the inconvenience! By any chance are you missing the repeat?

    • @camranm.6319

      Drum Lifestyle Im sure I am, but where is it?

    • @DrumLifestyle
      @DrumLifestyle  6 лет назад +4

      There is an end repeat after the first four measures, so all you need to remember is to repeat the first four measures once then continue after. I don’t know if you can see it well, but there is a double bar with two dots at the end of the first measure meaning it is the end of the repeat section. It might help to try following along and listening a few times without playing. Hope this helps!

    What notation software is this; Sibelius, Finale?

    • @DrumLifestyle

      It’s Sibelius, but we use other external programs and software to get it the way it is

    On the very first flam it has a capital L. Does this mean you play the grace note of the flam with your right hand?? sorry, im not used to drumming notation

    • @DrumLifestyle
      @DrumLifestyle  6 лет назад

      Yep! If there is only one sticking under the flam then the other hand is the grace note :)

      Drum Lifestyle thank you so much! After 2 days I can finally play it through at 80bpm (most of the time). I’ve always admired the drummers in my marching band and now I’m finally starting to get to their level

    I feel like once you pass 120bpm this lick no longer sounds like a bop, and more just sounds like a mess of notes

    • @DrumLifestyle
      @DrumLifestyle  5 лет назад +7

      We just threw that tempo up there for those who want to challenge themselves further. It does bop more at a lower tempo though, you’re not wrong.

    what was the program used to make this?

    • @DrumLifestyle
      @DrumLifestyle  6 лет назад

      We make the videos ourselves but we notate it using music notation programs like Finale and Sibelius.

      that's actually how it optimally should sound. It's good to practice equal sound and stick height to make your lefts and rights identical
