    I just found my warmup video. Been out of the collegiate music world for a while now since I graduated. I'd like to get my chops back up to speed. Nice

    why is it swinging flam taps... this is so weird

    • @michaelpersad868
      @michaelpersad868 Год назад

      Because it flows into the flam accent which is triplet based.

    • @blinkle1wastaken
      @blinkle1wastaken Год назад

      @@michaelpersad868 not how you play flam taps. im just saying the playback is just really offbeat and weird

    • @michaelpersad868
      @michaelpersad868 Год назад

      Oh, I see what you mean… you can play the flam taps straight in 1/8 notes or swung in 6/8…. The swung version takes you into the flam accents. I find that the flam accents are the ones that sound weird in the playback … almost like they are 3 sixteenth notes rather than evenly spaced triplets.

      Are you from Trinidad by chance?? I happened to see a comment from you on Digicel Trinidad's Harlem Shake video from 10 years ago (quite coincidental) I am actually the one playing the drums on top of the desk to the left!.@@blinkle1wastaken
